I would like to be able to theme other, non-kendo controls to match kendo controls.  Some controls such as textarea i am able to do this with no problem with a k-textbox class, but i would also like to grandularly be able to set just the background to k-theme-background, foreground to k-theme-foreground, etc. This way if i use properties like this, they update with the kendo theme.

The Spreadsheet does not support cell formatting with exponent (scientific) notation.  For example, a cell currently displays a value as 0.0000000177 while the formula bar displays it as 1.77e-8. When working with scientific data the ability to format a cell value using exponent (scientific) notation would be an extremely valuable feature.

I would like to use the paging buttons on a horizontal timeline to advance to the next and previous event. There is a work around with script but it does not address the first page and last page of the timeline.

Hi Team,

I would like to request the ability to reassign the context of a function in the Kendo UI Grid events.  For example, using the DataBound event, setting This to not be the Grid (e.sender) This would be useful to be able to use my TypeScript class methods.

Thank you.

If you got to this demo https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-mvc/filemanager and create a nested folder it is not possible to drag it to root level later on.

Please provide support for drag and drop functionality to root level.

Currently, the search in PDF Viewer is performed on every keypress in the search input field.

The search performance of the widget could be improved if there is a possibility to perform a search on pressing "Enter". Another valuable enhancement could be a configuration that allows the search to be performed after entering a certain number of symbols.

Implement an option for splitting the labels of the Linear Gauge into multiple lines. For example, this can be achieved for Chart Category Axis Labels: https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/controls/charts/how-to/appearance/show-axis-labels-in-two-rows

Aligning numeric values in grids is common place and best practise.  Kendo Grid does not provide any neat functionality for this, especially in MVC where the model is strongly typed. Where a MVC grid is bound to a model, the Razor Wrapper would work better if it right aligned columns if for example type int (or other numeric types which are better to be right aligned). Where this needs not to be the case a data annotation would suit.

eg.

public class MyModel
{
   [AlignRight(false)]
   public int ProductID {get; set;}

   public int Age {get; set; } // aligned right by default in Kendo Grid because of int type
}

In the above case ProductID would be left aligned, and Age would be right (which could be the default for all integer types)

With this functionality the razor implementation could also provide an align property to override align functionality.  An AutoAlign property could provide this functionalityto auto detect from model  or not (and also allow this functionality as being off to provide backwards compatibility)

@(Html.Kendo().Grid<MyModel>() .Name("grid")
.AutoAlign(false) .Columns(columns => { columns.Bound(c => c.ProductID).AlignRight(false) columns.Bound(c => c.Age).AlignRight(True) })

Please consider adding a .Format() property to the columns for MCCB. It was a real pain to correctly format a date column of a sub template of another template. In most cases the grid control can use something like .Format("{0:dd/MM/yyy"}), but the MCCB must use template scripting. It took a while to get the scripting and escaping just right for it to work. Having a .Format() option would simplify things.

It would be nice if the Form component provides support for Custom Editor Templates for model bound properties decorated with the UIHint() attribute, similar to the ASP.NET MVC Grid.

The culture option for the DataSource is available in the webapi option. The same option would be beneficial in the aspnet-mvc type as well so that you can modify it to either match the culture of  the server or set a different from the client's one.

I'd like to request to have a built-in scroll bar for the Multiple tag mode which would show only one line, and adjust for that line of tags accurately.

Thanks!

Excel spreadsheet fails to load if the sheet has Charts or TextArea.  The Charts and TextArea are fundamental to us being able to make proper use of the spreadsheet control if we are to allow folks to upload their excel spreadsheet to provide our application functionality.  It is not appropriate for us to use the spreadsheet control if it loses some of the excel spreadsheet items like Chart and TextArea if it were to even load correctly.

Request for this feature support is based on the details in the ticket at the URL:

Hello there,

I'm trying to use both snippets (to make a shortcode for our users to add templated Links) and pasteCleanup option (to prevent any style to be import from a copy paste) but it seems like the pasteCleanUp option is preventing my html tags from snippets to be added.

Here my code :

@(Html.Kendo().Editor()
      .Name(ViewData.TemplateInfo.HtmlFieldPrefix)
      .HtmlAttributes(new { style = ViewData["style"], @class = ViewData["class"] })
      .Resizable(resizable => resizable.Content(true).Toolbar(true))
      .Value(@Model)
      .Encode(false)
      .PasteCleanup(paste => paste.All(true))
      .Tools(tools => tools
                .Clear()
                .Bold().Italic().Underline().Strikethrough()
                .JustifyLeft().JustifyCenter().JustifyRight().JustifyFull()
                .CreateLink().Unlink()
                .TableEditing()
                .Snippets(snippets =>
                    {
                    snippets.Add("Test", " <a class='testclass' href='www.test.com'>TestLink</a> ");
                })
                .FontColor().BackColor()
                .CleanFormatting()
                .ViewHtml()
                )

If I don't remove the line

.PasteCleanup(paste => paste.All(true))

All I can get from my snippet is "TestLink" instead of "

<a class='testclass' href='www.test.com'>TestLink</a>

But maybe i'm doing this wrong ?

Thx a lot.

Currently the scheduler widget determines the layout based on device type.  Unfortunately this does not provide a fully responsive design.  Modern day responsive websites should look good on any sized screen regardless of device type.  There is also the issue that with new devices constantly coming out the list of devices being checked may become out of date quite quickly.  Another consideration I have when I design an app is that one may not be viewing something full screen on a laptop or desktop computer.  If this is the case then a page can look horrible due to the fact that an assumption is made on screen size because it is a windows device.  I've also seen laptops with screens as small if not smaller than some tablets which also effects the screen size assumption.

Being web developer for a very long time I understand the complexities that would be involved in this change so I'd also like to provide an interim solution that may (but may not be) easier to attain.  In working with your scheduler I had the idea of putting my own logic in to force moble/tablet view.  I was able to accomplish this with very little code except that manually switching the mode (setting the mobile setting to phone or tablet) doesn't work for the scheduler.  If that could be fixed it would at least provide a workaround for the above feature until you figured out how you wanted to handle it long term.

Thank you,

Brandon

Currently, if we move files/folders from one folder to another, the FileManager sends two requests to the backend - Create and Destroy. The Create method is called to "create"  the files in their new destination and the Destroy method removes the files from their previous location.

The two methods are executed independently and the results from each of them don't affect the result of the other. There are scenarios in which when we move files, the Create call can fail or be prevented because of limited user rights, but the Destroy method will be executed resulting in files' deletion. The same is applicable in scenarios where the Destroy is unsuccessful.

It will be a very useful FileManager feature if there is a relation in the Create and Destroy methods' execution.

In a Grid, you can include aggregates from other columns in a footer template. Please add this feature to TreeList.

Also, other useful features would be:

1. Enable or hide footers for expanded nodes. Currently, if there are any footer templates defined, then a footer row is rendered for each expanded node. Please can we have some control over which of these footer rows are rendered. For example, having them rendered only at the top level.

2. Provide some means of controlling whether or not to include child rows' values in the aggregates.

For example, I currently have a TreeList where some values are already the totalled across any child rows - this totalisation is done by our business layer. However, we want to include a Grand total in the footer, This Grand Total needs to be the total values summed on the top-level rows ONLY and not their children. I am having to write custom code to do this.

Hi  Team,

We are  using kendo mvc tooltip on our user form. we show tooltip on right when user focus in input. we want to force the right position always  on tablet and medium devices. but right now, if there is less space on  right, the tooltip auto moves to left. how can we stop this to going  from right to left regardless of space.

Thanks,

Sam
