Please add a setting for the Grid in batch edit mode to enable prompting to save changes. The prompt should occur when navigating away from the page, when paging, when filtering, when refreshing, or any other action that would cause loss of changes without a save.
For details on how I implemented this manually, please see ticket 933229.

When adding a calculated column to give you something like the Avg Price. The column appears across the whole pivot grid. So say you have your totalprice and qty showing for different stores. So the grid groups by stores. When you add the grandtotal calculation you get a new column added to each store.

I don't want the avg price added to each store .. I only want to see the average price in the grand totals section to the right?

Thanks.

I think it would be a great addition to the grid control if there was an attribute that you could apply to the columns called "SortNullsLast" or something along those lines. This attribute would modify the grid's sorting functionality and only apply the ascending or descending sort to non-null values.

Currently when you sort ascending, null values are sorted to the top of the grid. This new attribute would allow the non-null values to show up at the top in ascending order.

An example of why this would be useful is having a grid that tracks an optional requested completion date of a task. You would want to be able to sort the grid so that the earliest date shows first in the grid. Right now, any records that don't have this optional date would show first, which doesn't make sense.

Please add support for tags in exported PDF documents. We need these tags for accessibility purposes. Currently, when we export a PDF from a RadGrid, it is created without any tag structure, which can make it difficult for a screen reader to process correctly.

I am migrating MS Project Documents into Line of Business application into web pages. Which means everything MS Project can do, my client expect the telerik controls to do!

I would like features as seen in https://www.officetimeline.com/plus
Which means I can summarize the status of a project.
Which means I can use the mouse wheel and the 'Ctrl' key to zoom in and out of a project.
Initially this would be like changing from 'Day' view all the way thro to 'Year' view, but unlike pressing this buttons, I am still centered on in on that date much like in https://soundcloud.com/explore but its not music but a date on a timeline.
So if SoundCloud was for Project timelines that would be good.
This also have cross over for the Scheduler calender Timeline.

radgrid exporttoexcel and all exports (word, pdf, csv, excel) should be able to export to file on server without the browser also sending the file to the client.

As seems to be coming also for the Spreadsheet control in Kendo UI,
it would be great if the change event would be added to the spreadsheet control

The event fires, whenever the cell change its value.

Moreover,
the onCellClick or onCellFocus would be great.

In general, i strongly believe that there is a huge lack of helpful events for this control.

Thanks

Hello,
Please add support to bind to System.Dynamic.DynamicObject:

Add support for a secondary x-axis at the top of the chart.
Please use consistent axis types.
Why would the primary axes be of type Telerik.Web.UI.HtmlChart.PlotArea.Chart*Axis and the secondary y-axis be of type Telerik.Web.UI.AxisY?

Hello,
Like a lot of companies we have multiple client side interfaces of a single application and have to create similar UI in multiple platforms.
For example I had to create a chart in both WPF and ASP.NET AJAX today.
The problem I have with the Telerik controls is that there are absolutely no standardization or consistency between platforms.
Why would a Cartesian Axis in WPF and ASP.NET AJAX and ASP MVC and Windows Universal Apps not all called the same thing?
It would be very simple to use interfaces to create some consistency between platforms.
Even better would be if Model Views are shared across platforms in a portable library:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh563947(v=vs.110).aspx
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg597391(v=vs.110).aspx

I would like to request a new feature in legend of RadHtmlChart that provide a tool-tip for long names because when I add a long text in legends the size of pie-chart is reduced.
Sample code for what I expect to be working :

<telerik:RadHtmlChart runat="server" ID="Chart" Height="400px" Width="400px">
<ClientEvents OnLoad="onChartLoad" />
function onChartLoad()
{
var chart = $find("Chart");
var widget = chart.get_kendoWidget();
widget.options.legend.tooltip = "#: dataItem.columnname #" //Feature Request in this line
widget.redraw();
}

I get a lot of work creating BI/KPI UIs which are basically converting what you can do in Excel Charts into a Web UI. Which means anything they can do in Excel they expect the web to do.
Since there is a drive to automate as much mundane human activity in the business and reduce human error (cut and paste error).
I need to reproduce a graph with 'standard' Tend Lines.
That is not my interpretation of a trend, but standard best practice.
I want this as a checkbox, and attribute to a series for the DataFieldY value.
Initially a code solution would be fine (once its got the data from the data source).

Current RadGrid (Q3 2015) does supports model binding of master/detail records.

Request the functionality to set ItemType on the detail gridview and pass the master's datakey as the id for the detail select method.

Or, alternatively, if the model has a virtual IQuerable binding, set the detail view's datasource to the models virtual entity

For example, a model with a one to many relationship to the color options for a car:
Model Cars()
{ string name
int colorRange
virtual colorOptionsModel colorOptions
}
Model colorOptionsModel
{
int colorRange
 string colorName;
}

In the RadGrid:
<mastertable DataKeyName = "colorRange">
<DetailView datasource="Item.colorOptions">

Applies to all model-bound controls; Tree-list, etc..

Current data-annotation support includes validation.

Please include handling of the following attributes
- Display Name defaults for databound columns
- Text boxes and labels width based on max-length
- Display attributes
- auto-generation of drop-downs for enum datatypes and foreign keys
- readonly based on editable attribute

When the start date of a series is changed, the exceptions from the series (like when deleting an occurrence) are moved along with the series. This is not always the expected behavior, because in some cases the exceptions should stay in place (because they are holidays for example). It is also an issue because the users don't understand why some exceptions have disappeared, or why other exceptions have appeared.
I would suggest that the end user be presented with an option to: keep the exceptions in place, move the exceptions or delete the exceptions (like Outlook does) when he changes the start date.
If the exceptions should be handled the same way always, the developer could specify the handling way, and then the user would not be alerted.

When the LIST is displayed in a RadDropDownList, the datasource is usually a lookup table. Therefore, it is not practical to set the LIST attribute "DropdownWidth" to a fixed number of pixels, since items can be added to the lookup table where the text length is longer than any currently in the table. If you text is too long for the LIST width, the text wraps and this is not a pleasant user experience.

This control needs an autosize feature for the LIST, so it fits the longest text without causing wrapping. This feature already exists on the RadComboBox with attributes DropDownAutoWidth="Enabled" and "NoWrap=true". These should also be used I the RadDropDownList so the LISTS work identically.

I'd like to see the following enhancements of the RadNavigation control:

1. Ability to make some nodes stick to the top menu even in collapsed mode.. That way you can have e.g. a logo in the top-left of the navigator.

2. Ability to right-align items.

Both features can be seen in the bootstrap NavBar..
