as you know we purchased DevCraft Complete and it is really hard to download everything file by file. I really wish if you have one magic button which when i click it it will download the entire files for all DevCraft Complete updates for ajax, kendu, reporting etc
Performance and decreasing the footprint of JavaScript/CSS size of pages is very important for major websites. You all clearly know that as it was one of your goals with Lightweight rendering. We would like documentation that shows the approximate file sizes for the Javascript and CSS files per control. We would also like to know the base libraries: AnimationFramework.js - KB? PopupScripts.js - KB? TouchScrollExtender.js - KB? ScrollingScripts.js OData.js (why does this load if we aren't using OData?) OverlayScript.js NavigationScripts.js etc We would like more control over the loading of these and knowing what functionality dictates what scripts. This would really help us evaluate whether to use a control or look for a lighter jQuery alternative as we are very concerned with file sizes and the loading time of our web pages.
Would be nice to have a single sign on control (eg like http://www.gigya.com/) What this means is that you can sign on/sign up with any social login. Would like this to work well with ajax controls and KendoUI This sign on is megga important on mobile, but good for conversions on standard laptop or HD websites.
We are currently using v2010 of telerik.web.ui dll in our production environments and planning to move to 2015 very soon. Upon updating in our staging environments we are seeing a massive difference in dll size between the 2 versions. Also the webresource.axd(javascript) in the new version is 1.14MB in size which may cause some performance issues. My question is: 1. Is there a way to reduce this size or do per-need basis loading? 2. Can we refer telerik js files in our master page so that they are not loaded all the time? If so, please let us know how.
For all controls that have a dropdown, there should be a DropDownSettings part. Namely, it should control: width, height as well as their min / max counterparts and css class. Perhaps z-index
.NET provides a standard mechanism to resolve any needed assembly via the AssemblyResolve event (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.appdomain.assemblyresolve(v=vs.110).aspx). Besides self-implementing this event there are tools (like SmartAssembly) which use this mechanism. We use this mechanism to make application deployment (including ASP.NET applications) as painless and easy as possible. With Telerik ASP.NET this does not work :-( Please provide some way/sample/API to make it possible to embed Telerik ASP.NET assemblies. Thanks in advance. Best Regards Yahia El-Qasem
I'd like to use several masks in order to accept many phone numbers format. The component must accept phone numbers with these separators : "-", "/", "|" and space between figures. Here are some example of format that i mean: 1- xx-xx-xx-xx-xx 2- xx - xx - xx - xx - xx 3- xx.xx.xx.xx.xx 4- xx/xx/xx/xx/xx 5- xx / xx / xx / xx 6- xx|xx|xx|xx|xx 7- xx | xx | xx | xx Evidently, the component needs to accept figures only. Most of the time, the phone numbers are inserted by a copy-pasted
As of now RadEditor for SharePoint 2013 or sharepoint 2016 is not available, reason Telerik had provided for non-availablity of RadEditor for List Items as it is handled from client end is not acceptable, since many other component providers do support similar functions with their editors. the reason / use case iam looking for is becoz of need to handle clipboard manager in editor which is not available in Multiple line of text column type of an SharePoint 2013 list,
The Telerik Bootstrap skin looks like it is Bootstrap, but it is not. While it is easy to override a Bootstrap style to customize something, every time we do we end up on a support ticket to figure out how to make the same override in the skin. One common area this comes up is the form sizing. In Bootstrap, you can use a CSS class .form-group-sm to easily make the form controls smaller. (There are several other classes as well for controls and form groups.) The Telerik controls, like radCombobox or DatePicker do not honor this style, you need special Telerik CSS to get them to size. The Bootstrap skin should have CSS included in it that handles when the Bootstrap control size classes are used. That way when a Telerik control is placed in a div with .form-group-sm etc. it will automatically resize itself accordingly. ref: http://getbootstrap.com/css/#forms-control-sizes
when using spradgrid designer in SharePoint to retrieve data from sql tables the sql tables are ordered in a non sequence. this is really frustrating if you have a lot of tables. It would be great if you can order them by the table name. Thanks
So you don't have a dedicated place to put this so I'm placing it here with the hope the right person get it. I don't use the MSI to do my updates because I hate my controls being placed into ind folders that you came up with. I constantly find myself rummaging through them looking for the correct control. HOWEVER.. if I manually DL them and ref the DLL and create a folder of my own making all the controls flow in in alphabetical order and I can get to the exact one I need instantly. If the MSI can be changed to ask me for how I want them placed into VS so that happens I can then DL the MSI and get all the other features I lose doing it this way. After talking with CS/Tech support the asp.net/Core is for MVC type applications. I'd like to suggest dropping the word "core" and changing it to MVC to avoid confusion. So hope this gets to the right set of eyes. Cheers!
Is this easy thing to integrate BootStrap with Telerik controls...can you please explain.. is it possible to change the telerik skin with bootstrap skin
When many RadHtmlCharts are present on the page (especially if their animation is turned on) this will decrease the rendering performance of the browser, especially in older browsers that are generally slow. The ability to start rendering one chart only after the previous one finishes rendering will improve this initial load. This can be used only for animations to provide a visual queue (i.e. only have effect when Transitions=true).
Provide a RadDateTime control that allows you to only pick the Day of the Week (Sunday - Saturday) rather than simply picking a Date or a Time.
