When I try to export an dartboard from Sketch to Studio I get an error: "t.rulerX is not a function. (In 't.rulerX()', 't.rulerX' is undefined)".
I tried to do this on different projects (even new one with one artboard, some buttons, inputs and rectangles).
I keep getting a /bin/sh error when I open the file in Unite UX. Or when I try to build the app.
I also get an error when using the "search bar" component. It's not recognized in Studio - see attached image.
I've also noticed some design issues when exporting from sketch to studio
- some elements get bigger breaking the layout
- some buttons are not recognized as buttons (See both images attached, one is from sketch the other one is from studio)
Today I get the following popup when opening Unite UX Studio:
But when I click the Extend button, it just opens the main page for Unite UX. I see no way to extend the subscription of the beta software.
The blue identifier obscures the content below it. Please consider positioning it above the component it identifies. In the image below, the blue identifier obscures the label that says "Filter By"
This page on the Unite UX documentation site describes a handy sample application to get the user familiar with Unite UX. The page says "This card points to distributed with Unite UX Studio sample dashboard application". Unfortunately, I cannot see a card with this sample application in my dashboard. I'd love to have access to this sample app to reduce the learning curve for Unite UX.
I wanted to test drive Unite UX.
Downloaded the Sketch plugin.
I got a .msi file.
Sketch runs on Mac. No way to install the plugin.
Need Mac / Sketch compatible plugin
When I used the unit ux sketch plug in, and exported a simple two art board design, I could import it successfully in Unit UX Studio on my mac, but if I transfered the directory that sketch exported (via a zip file) to a windows machine, after I extracted the directory, when I tired to open the design in my window's unite ux studio, I got the following error. Every single time.
ENOENT: no such file or directory, open c:\test\my test\meta\app.json"
EVEN though there is a non-zero sized app.json file at the above mentioned path.
I checked and I have rights and permissions to all files in that directory including the app.json file... COuldn't get around this error.
My company was looking to have the UI designers switch from Adobe XD to Sketch, just so we could use Unite UX's Sketch plugin for Kendo/Telrik --- but this isn't going to work for us if I can't export from the Mac and open the export in Windows. (All our developers are on windows).
When saving changes in the UX designer, the message shows "Save meta succeeded!", but layout and property changes are not saved.
Navigating after save shows the following message and if you continue all your changes are lost.
The authentication window seems to be set up to prevent pasting values into either the username or password fields. Username, ok, I can type my email. But I use a password manager (because security), and I'd really prefer not to manually enter a 100 character password. In the short term I guess I'll change to a vastly less secure/shorter password, but that doesn't feel like a good solution.
This doesn't feel like a Catalina thing, but hey, who knows.
This might be just that I didn't do the correct steps.. anyway..
I tried to use Unite UX and read the manual from webpages how to use it. Manual didn't reflect anything that what was shown in the UI when I tried to just define master template. There isn't any buttons like define available. Manual was really confusing, I didn't find any steps that would show me what to do to get the define button visible. Also in the manual table of contents it read "mater template", having typos on product manuals just makes me feel that product has been done as sloppy as its manual.
Steps I did.
1. Create react app.
2. Create one view called 'm' in my case and make it as startup view.
3. Save and generate steps done when making the view.
4. I can't see define button anywhere (as shown in manual)
5. Progress unite UX button pressed and then I select the project again
6. I get instructions to press define button to apply application layout, and.. yeah, can't see it.
Just a side note: I'm not sure if this speedups my app development or slows it to the full stop when UI doesn't work as assumed. I just got some really bad vibes from the past products called microsoft frontpage and dreamweaver.
