Dear Telerik-Team,
this feature of the PDF viewer is crucial to our software and our clients. Our product is used heavily in conjunction with PDFs that are not rendered correctly by the RadPdfViewer. Is there any information on progress on fixing this issue? What can I tell our clients with regard to the faulty PDF display?
THANK you so much and best regards.

Hi Mike,

Indeed, the RadPdfViewer for WPF and WinForms controls share a common code-base so the pointed KB article is fully applicable. However, the KB concerns JPXDecode filter, whereas JPEG images in a PDF document that the current item discusses are decoded by the DCTDecode filter.

In regard to the information provided in the public items on the portal, we do our best to provide as much relevant information as possible. There are cases, however, where this is not possible due to the fact that we simply do not know more details on a particular issue. Other times the detailed info requires some specific knowledge, for example on the PDF format specification. The current issue falls in both categories, so there is not much else that we can add. However, if you have any concerns regarding other items on the portal feel free to add a comment to them and we will address them.

Well, I wonder if this article could help: http://www.telerik.com/support/kb/winforms/pdf-viewer/details/use-a-custom-jpxdecode-filter-with-radpdfviewer

But the article is for Winforms and I don't know if this extensibility is also possible with WPF?

Note: It is just a speculation, because most of the suggestions on the feedback site lack a lot of informations. You can never be sure if something means the right thing. One should first know what kind of JPG file/version we are talking about!

Hi everyone,

The problem described here is with high priority in our backlog, but due to other tasks we will not be able to include a fix for it in the Q1 2015 release. The best I can suggest is to continue tracking this item to be notified about our progress.
