REPL change version

A similar feature like the dojo to change the version is needed.

Thank you for the feedback.

Indeed this will be a great feature to be added to the REPL. However, at this point we are not able to implement it due to a limitation in the Framework. You can see more information about it in this issue logged for dotnet: https://github.com/dotnet/aspnetcore/issues/40377

It would be helpful to have this for the N-1 version. For example we found an issue today (ticket 1602115) we wanted to confirm worked correctly in 2023.1.117 but is broken in 2023.1.314. This would make filing bug reports to you guys so much easier as we could link two REPL's to show the issue.

Hi Dan,

I understand your point, however, the underlying structure of the REPL is rather complex as it has to run the code entered by the users. Also, having different users that use various versions should also be taken into account.

That said, there are currently limitations in the ASP.NET Core framework that prevents us from efficiently handling such scenarios.

Hi Viktor,

Couldn't you provide different links for the different telerik versions. (It does not have to be all of them but at least since you started supporting for REPL) I do not mind for the entire page to do a refresh as long I can test something on an older version, since I am trying to figure out if on a previous version some feature that I am using was working.

Its much easier to use the REPL that you have provided than to create a new solution and try to configure it.

Hi Dan,

Thank you for the feedback. We have the item in our backlog, however, there are currently framework limitations that would not allow such functionality to work stable and reliable.

Nevertheless, we are working with Microsoft and keep looking for a workaround that can enable us to have the functionality.

Hi Hristian,

It seems that I did not made myself clear. The version I need is for ASP.Net CORE and not Blazor. Please make the feature back to not complete

Hi Dan,

I confirm that changing the versions is already supported in our REPL. You can test it through the third tab on the left, called "Telerik UI Manager" with a "ninja" icon.

Let me know if you find any problems on the go.
