Bug report

When a draggable item that is part of a tile of the Kendo UI TileLayout is dragged, JavaScript errors are thrown. This is due to the fact that the Draggable widget, internally used, calls the drag event of the widget instances inside the TileLayout.

Reproduction of the problem

1. Edit the live demo in a Dojo: https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/tilelayout/index

2. Make any of the grids, resizable or groupable.

3. Resize or group a column.

4. JavaScript errors are thrown.

Environment

* **Kendo UI version:** 2020.2.617
* **jQuery version:** 1.124
* **Browser:** [all]

Hello,

I have some problems with setting up correct Cell Validation for my use-case. I want to create a list validation which is going to have a numeric options instead of typical string values.

So in order to achieve that I created a following cell validation:

{
    dataType: "list",
    showButton: true,
    comparerType: "list",
    from: '{1,2,3,4,5}',
    allowNulls: true,
    type: "reject"
}

Everything works fine in the widget, but the problems starts when I want to Export the following spreadsheet to Excel format. I'm getting the following message when trying to open such file:

In the past I had a similar problem with the list validation (but for string values) (https://www.telerik.com/account/support-tickets/view-ticket/1381434)

There you suggested to create a validation using different format for "from" property. So I decided to change it from:

from: '{1,2,3,4,5}',

to

from: '"1,2,3,4,5"',

After that I can freely export the spreadsheet without any problems, but then my list is inserting string values instead of numeric ones, therefore this solution is not suitable for my use-case.

And my question is: Is there a possibility to create a Cell validation where I can put numeric values as a possible options without breaking the export process?

Here's a example spreadsheet, which I used to reproduce this behavior: https://dojo.telerik.com/IfuMIbic

Best regards,

Bug report

When the FileManager is initialized with a local data source the Context Menu is not displayed.

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Run this dojo
  2. Right-click on a folder of a file

Current behavior

The context menu is not displayed. The Context menu is not expected to be displayed for the built-in rename and delete commands, but a context menu is not displayed when custom commands are implemented.

Expected/desired behavior

A context menu should be displayed when local data source is used.

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Run this dojo
  2. Follow the steps listed in the dojo to reproduce the issue

Expected/desired behavior

The TreeView should be refreshed on a subsequent successful request.

Hello,

I am using Kendo UI Version: 2020.2.617 R2 SP1 2020 and I am having issues with the Rename functionality of the FileManager in IE 11 and Chrome.

In IE 11, If I rename a Folder from the left navigation pane (or tree view) then it works just fine; the api/FileManager/Update endpoint is called by the FileManager widget. But when I rename a File or Folder from the "view pane" (by right-clicking to get the context menu), then the Open event is executed (like if you double clicked the file) instead of the Update endpoint being called.

In Chrome (latest version), I get the same thing, but with the exception that I can rename a folder (not a File) from the context menu.

My REST API is built using .Net WebAPI… Not MVC.

If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards,

Eric.

Bug report

There are no configuration options dedicated to localizing the text in the arial-label attribute of these buttons. We localize other buttons, such as the "remove" and "cancel" buttons.

Reproduction of the problem

Dojo example.

  1. Select a bigger file, which will allow the "pause" and "resume" buttons to appear.

Current behavior

The aria-label value is in English.

Expected/desired behavior

The aria-label value is localized.

Prerequisites: Chrome browser, Outlook 2016 or 365

Steps to Replicate

From Outlook, click to hold down on an email. Drag and drop it to the upload area.

Expected Behavior: The e-mail is copied to the upload widget and uploaded.

Actual Behavior: E-mail is deleted from the folder it existed in and moved to "Deleted Items". If it was copied from "Deleted Items", it is permanently deleted.

Notes:

This does not work in Firefox or Safari--it appears a new version of Chrome enabled the "drag-and-drop from emails" feature. Drag and drop from the other two browsers simply does nothing.

There is already technology to provide a "copy" option for drag-and-drop implementations from emails. (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/drag-and-drop-works-however-deletes-email-can-we/865f60c3-7980-4465-8a19-4d60b0ae5aba?page=2)

Telerik has stated that they "do not support" this feature (source: https://www.telerik.com/forums/drag-and-drop-outlook-email) I would like this feature to be supported.

Bug report

Reproduction of the problem

Dojo example: http://dojo.telerik.com/ePEPAtEl/3
Two scenarios:

  1. The DropDownTree's height is set to "auto" and there are enough nodes in the embedded treeview, so that the when the popup shows up a vertical scrollbar appears. In Chrome and IE, when the scrollbar appears the page is scrolled down automatically, which causes the popup to close.

  2. height is not set explicitly in the DropDownTree (remove the setting from the dojo example). If the browser window is resized so that there isn't enough space for the whole popup to be displayed, on the popup showing up, the same behavior as in 1. is observed.

Current behavior

The popup closes automatically.

Expected/desired behavior

The popup remains open.
