Fiddler Jam hangs on "Stop" capture

I've used this tool many times.

I tried removing/re-adding the Chrome extension, clearing browser cache, rebooting, etc.

I know it's probably not related, but I just applied the latest Telerik MVC update.

However, I've confirmed the issue in Chrome outside of any running project.

Hello Paul,

I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the Fiddler Jam extension. I've just provided insights in the ticket thread you had with Lance, but I am reposting my original answer alongside the solution here for convenience.

The issue results from a recent change in how Chromium browsers produce native video recordings. The Fiddler's team is aware of the problem and is currently looking for a possible solution to resolve the matter. Currently, Fiddler Jam Chrome Extension can capture only DOM video.

As a temporary workaround, you can substitute the DOM video format for the pixel-perfect video format. To do so, toggle on both Capture Video and Use DOM video options.

The main benefit of the DOM format is that it doesn't require explicit permission from the user. The DOM recording can also be cut so the user can submit only a portion of the captured log. Learn more about the DOM video format here: https://docs.telerik.com/fiddler-jam/fj-extension/capture-options#capturing-videos
