"Turn Features On/Off" checkbox is unintuitive

"Turn Features On/Off" checkbox is unintuitive

The Progress Control Panel has a checkbox to the right of the Installed Reporting line item that is semantically insane. When you check it, there is no feedback about what it does. Then when you click Proceed, something happens but you are never told what happens and the checkbox goes back to being unchecked.

Hi Guy,

I agree that the "Turn Features On/Off" mechanic in the Progress Control Panel is very confusing. This is partially due to the option's name, which does not convey its purpose, and the current design which doesn't allow all product features to be clearly displayed after installation.

We have planned to improve the behavior as part of a broader effort to redesign the Progress Control Panel. Understandably, this will take significant time and effort and is not part of our short-term plans. I have linked this feedback item to our internal issue, and you can follow the progress here.
