It will be beneficial to have an event that is fired on update of the Model. Currently, the only workaround is to use the FieldChanged event of the EditContext.

Hi.

I'd like to request the ability to set the Enabled property on check boxes in the treeview.

For example, given a tree view with check boxes:

<TelerikTreeView Data="@StorageItems"
                 @bind-CheckedItems="@CheckedItems"
                 CheckBoxMode="TreeViewCheckBoxMode.Multiple"
                 CheckParents="true"
                 CheckChildren="true" />

I'd like to make the tree view read-only so the check boxes appear disabled and the user cannot check-mark or uncheck-mark them.

Thank you.

It would be nice to be able to configure a show/hide animation for windows.

ADMIN EDIT: This might include a form of a Shown event so that you could know when the content is rendered and available to, for example, focus a button or input. For more details see here

I want to place the Pager on top of the Grid. I know it can be handled with a Pager component integration in the Grid Toolbar, but I want to use the Toolbar for other purposes/actions. Please allow control over the Pager position.

I would like to alter some special slots in the scheduler like in WPF. Sample images is attached.

The slot should be customizable to define custom size and template.

Is a ListBox control, similar to https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-core/listbox/index, on the roadmap currently?

---

ADMIN EDIT

You can use a grid that has 1 column for the text you want to show with selection and perhaps even row dragging, and maybe hide its headers with css if you do not want them.

My users want to paste dates in the date inputs (date pickers in our case). This seems to work in Kendo, but does not work in Blazor, even when the format of the copied data matches the Format of the component.

<p>
    Try copying this date which is valid in the current format: 23/03/1998
    <br />
    then paste it in the date picker and see what happens to the <code>TheDate</code> field
</p>

@TheDate
<br />

<TelerikDateInput @bind-Value="TheDate" Format="dd/MM/yyyy" /> @TheDate.ToString("dd/MM/yyyy")

@code {
    DateTime TheDate { get; set; } = new DateTime(2019, 11, 27, 02, 03, 44);
}

---

ADMIN EDIT

Allowing the paste into the DateInput (and by extension date picker,...)  would have a lot of cases to control and that is why we have not yet enabled it. If the format is M/d/yyyy, for example, validation for numbers lower or equal to 12 would not be possible when the month is regarded. If the user pastes 8/2/2020 could mean two things - 8th of February 2020 or 2nd of August 2020. This might cause issues as the data that goes to the database might be incorrect and causing the application to misbehave.

That being said, how would you suggest handling the pasting of dates in the component. How would you like from us to handle the format difference of the dates? Please comment below.

I would like to be able to configure the auto-tab behavior so that the DateInput only tabs when user type '/' (i.e. disable smart auto-tabbing).

month/day/year

Expected UX:  3/3/2022
Example: https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/dateinput/index

Current UX: 332022
Example: https://demos.telerik.com/blazor-ui/dateinput/overview

I would like the DropDownList to automatically detect the boundaries of the screen in order not to truncate items when the popup is opened.

===========

ADMIN EDIT

===========

The request is also valid for the rest of the popups including AutoComplete, ComboBox, Context Menu, MultiSelect.

This is also valid for the Window.

Currently, the Date input components apply a mask to the input which restricts the user to type dates. By modifying the mask, or remove it altogether, the users will be able to freely type dates.

Add "OnOpen" event that fires when the DateTimePicker  button is clicked but before the DateTimePicker  dropdown is shown

=============

ADMIN EDIT

=============

You can currently achieve the desired behavior by wrapping the DateTimePicker in a container (for example span), add a handler on the on-click event of the span to catch the click event and perform the desired actions in that handler.

<span class="datetimepicker-span" @onclick="@OnOpenHandler">
    <TelerikDateTimePicker Class="my-date-time-picker" Value="@selectedTime"
                           Format="dd MMM yyyy HH:mm:ss" Width="250px"></TelerikDateTimePicker>
</span>

@code {
    public DateTime? selectedTime { get; set; }

    public bool isOpened { get; set; } = false;

    public void  OnOpenHandler()
    {
        isOpened = !isOpened;

        if (isOpened)
        {
            Console.WriteLine("DateTimePicker was opened.");
        }
        else
        {
            Console.WriteLine("DateTimePicker was closed.");
        }
    }
}

In addition to the PdfProcessing, I would also like to be able to use a component to show PDFs to my users.

---

ADMIN EDIT

For the time being, a workaround could be to wrap a JS widget, an example is available in this sample project, see the MyKendoPdfViewer.razor component and make sure to include the relevant JS libraries.

Another approach could be a simple iframe that points to a handler that will return the PDF with content-disposition:inline. Most modern browsers will render this inline.

How can I set the tooltip to show/hide programmatically? right not it only supports hover or click show action.

---

ADMIN EDIT

You can Follow a way to hide the tooltip programmatically here: https://feedback.telerik.com/blazor/1476364-close-tooltip-via-method.

You can find a way to hack the show event by triggering a JS click in this KB article: https://docs.telerik.com/blazor-ui/knowledge-base/common-validation-error-in-tooltip.

Here is an example that shows how you can trigger the tooltip to show for a particular target:

@inject IJSRuntime _js

<script suppress-error="BL9992">
    function triggerTooltip(index, selector, showOnClick) {
        var targets = document.querySelectorAll(selector);
        if (targets && targets.length >= index) {
            var desiredTarget = targets[index];//feel free to get the desired target in any other way
            setTimeout(function () {
                var evt = document.createEvent('MouseEvent');
                var evtToSimulate = showOnClick ? "click" : "mouseenter";
                evt.initEvent(evtToSimulate, true, false);
                desiredTarget.dispatchEvent(evt);
            }, 20);
        }
    }
</script>

<TelerikButton OnClick="@( async () => await TriggerTooltip(0) )">Trigger tooltip for the first target</TelerikButton>
<TelerikButton OnClick="@( async () => await TriggerTooltip(1) )">Trigger tooltip for the SECOND target</TelerikButton>

<TelerikTooltip TargetSelector="@ttipTargetSelector" ShowOn="@ShowOnSetting">
</TelerikTooltip>

<p id="my-targets">
    <strong title="what is 'lorem ipsum'?">lorem</strong>
    ipsum dolor
    <strong title="is this a real word?">sit</strong>
    amet.
</p>

@code{
    string ttipTargetSelector = "p#my-targets [title]";
    TooltipShowEvent ShowOnSetting { get; set; } = TooltipShowEvent.Click;
    async Task TriggerTooltip(int targetIndex)
    {
        await _js.InvokeVoidAsync("triggerTooltip",
                targetIndex,
                ttipTargetSelector,
                ShowOnSetting == TooltipShowEvent.Click ? true : false
             );
    }
}
