It is frustrating to see, that elementary and important features like SVG support were not a priority in the past 8 years, nor is it even planned. Without such significant features, we can hardly recommend this library at all.

Every other major .NET PDF library supports SVGs out of the box.

Adding our vote for this feature as well - we have SVG's we need to put into PDF for reporting purposes.

Would be a very useful feature.

Hi Mark,

I also agree that the import of SVG images is an important feature the library should have but the planning for the current release is done and I am afraid it is not included.

We are constantly monitoring the public items and reprioritize them depending on their impact and votes. If you haven't subscribed or voted for the item, please do so and you will get notified when its status changes.

Hi Micah,

I want to apologize for the inconvenience this missing functionality might be causing you. This item is not scheduled for implementation because our development team is working on more demanded tasks. Thus I cannot engage with a specific date for its implementation.

The SVG format is not supported in BitmapImage, which is internally used in the PdfProcessing library to store images. What I can suggest here is to convert the image to another format, so you can later use it in the PDF document.

It's been nearly 5 years since this was requested and hasn't gone beyond being unplanned?!  Given the scaling/lossless capability of SVGs this would be invaluable in particular when embedding barcodes that may need to be sized/scaled on a document.  Personally, I feel like this feature should have been a priority between 2016 and now.

While this library is nice for creating/manipulating PDFs, there are areas where it's nice to work with and places where I find myself "wanting".

Is there any chance of this happening sooner rather than later?!
