Request

Android follows a "bottom-up" approach to gesture/touch handling. It would be nice if the RadSlideView would allow any swipe gesture that it cannot handle itself to propagate upwards so that another view can have a chance to handle it.

Example

Given the following XAML:

<ParentView>
        <ParentView.GestureRecognizers>
            <SwipeGestureRecognizer Direction="Left"
                                    Command="{Binding ForwardCommand}" />
            <SwipeGestureRecognizer Direction="Right"
                                    Command="{Binding BackwardCommand}" />
        </ParentView.GestureRecognizers>

        <RadSlideView />
</ParentView>

Expectation:

  • When the user is at the beginning of the items in the RadSlideView and swipes right, then the BackwardCommand should execute. (The RadSlideView should detect that it is at the beginning of its item source and allow the right swipe gesture to propagate upwards to the ParentView.)
  • When the user is at the end of the items in the RadSlideView and swipes left, then the ForwardCommand should execute. (The RadSlideView should detect that it is at the end of its item source and allow the left swipe gesture to propagate upwards to the ParentView.)

Any version of Xamarin.Forms, the iOS version of the application crashes when attempting to apply a custom font "parameter descriptor cannot  be null"

With this resource defined, and the OpenSans-Bold.ttf is in the Resources directory, marked as bundle resource...

<OnPlatform x:TypeArguments="x:String" x:Key="BoldFont">
    <On Platform="Android" Value="OpenSans-Bold.ttf#Open Sans" />
    <On Platform="iOS" Value="OpenSans-Bold" />
 </OnPlatform>

And using this code for the style (created from the Telerik login view template, with some modifications):

    <Style x:Key="LoginEntryStyle"

        <Setter Property="TextColor"

        <Setter Property="WatermarkTextColor"
                Value="{StaticResource LightBlueColor}" />
        <Setter Property="FontSize"
                Value="14" />
        <Setter Property="FontFamily"
                Value="{StaticResource BoldFont}" />
        <Setter Property="HeightRequest"

        <Setter Property="Margin"

By default, the view starts at 0:00 AM, we would need to provide the option to scroll the view to specific time, for example 9:00 AM.  The approach should work for DayView and MultiDayView modes.

In Xamarin Forms.

When I call Calendar.ScrollAppointmentIntoView(theItem); in Android it works fine.

In iOS when the same call is made, the calendar scrolls about 1 pixel, then stops.

I put the call into a timer just to make sure it's there.

      Device.StartTimer(TimeSpan.FromMilliseconds(3000), () =>

              { Device.BeginInvokeOnMainThread(() => {  Calendar.ScrollAppointmentIntoView(theItem); });

                 return false; // True = Repeat again, False = Stop the timer

      });

When using DataTemplates on the ListView for Android, items are constantly redrawn when data shown on the template is updated, this is obvious to the user as it flashes and doesn't look great. Note that the native ListView does not do this.

Hi,

I rolled my app with the ListView out to production and are getting 8+ crashes a day from 140 users with the above issue. I have included a stack trace. I cannot find the steps to reproduce the issue in development. I have rolled back to using the native ListView as this does not crash the app.

Attached is an example project to see what I am doing in general terms, but I have not been able to reproduce this crash in it.

My guess is that a DataTemplate is not being cleaned up properly and when the data behind is changed it attempts to access the control that represented the data in the DataTemplate.

Regards
Anthony

Currently, if the value contains longer text, the barcode is not expanding, just uses smaller points to accommodate it.

In addition, the barcode does not take all the available space (with Stretch Sizing mode).

Provide an easy way to position the popup in the center of the screen in a MVVM-friendly manner.

Consider the case when the target is a view that carries information about the popup and cannot be the page.
