Add an event for the clear button click. This functionality could be achieved by listening to PropertyChanged, or using TwoWay binding, on the AutoComplete.Text property. However on iOS this doesn't occur when the X button is clicked, so it's not a viable workaround.
Avalable in R3 2017 SP release.
Available in the R2 2018 release.
I have a page where many AutoComplete controls are used. Selecting a value in one must select a value in another. We know that this value is selected by setting Text property (through object binding), but by doing this, suggestion view shows up. I test many tweaks with ShowSuggestionView property, SuggestMode, or whatever, and there is no proper way to achieve the behavior I want. Regards
When the suggestions get recycled, their text and image disappear.
When you type in a symbol in the AutoComplete and the Popup that contains the available items appear, it is not possible to change its position(top/bottom of the AutoComplete) or change its template. This is problematic in scenarios where the AutoComplete is at the bottom of the view as it hides the software keyboard.
Users need to restrict suggestion of already selected tokens. In other words when users create a token, that particular item should not be suggested when typing new tokens anymore.
Currently users are not aware when a token gets selected/deselected.
When setting CompletionMode="Contains": On Android: It doesn't work at all On UWP: It works only for the first character. Available in minor release 2017.3.1214. It will also be available in the R1 2018 release.
When there are enough tokens to wrap them on a second row, the control hangs and application eventually crashes. Available in minor release 2017.3.927. It will also be available in the R3 2017 SP release.
There does not seem to be an easy way to modify the custom message shown when no result is found in the AutoComplete control. We can expose a property similar to the Watermark one. Edit: Avalable in R3 2017 SP release.
Similar to the UWP AutoCompleteBox functionality - http://docs.telerik.com/windows-universal/controls/radautocompletebox/features/autocompletebox-webservice-support
Currently the Text property can only be get. Expose it as setter as well.
