I have an custom column extending "DataGridTextColumn". This column overrides "CreateGroupDescriptor" methods and returns an instance of "DelegateGroupDescriptor". Once we group items in this column it can never be cleared/un-grouped.

Any help would be heighly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Applying custom filter to the datagrid and removing column at the same time disables the horizontal scrollbar - in scenario when the content of the column is bigger than the screen size.

To reproduce:

Step 1 - File > New > LoadOnDemandCollection Demo

Follow the LoadOnDemandCollection documentation https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/xamarin/controls/datagrid/load_on_demand#loadondemandcollection

Step 2 - Deploy to UWP

=> Observe the DataGrid will be stuck in busy state after the initial set of items load

You can reproduce this by changing input language to any region that uses a comma decimal separator (e.g. Duetsch). The comma is ignored, ultimately corrupting the data

Occasionally the DataGrid horizontal scrolling does not work properly after changing its ItemsSource. Still, tapping on any item, make it possible to scroll again.

After scrolling down enough times where all of the data is loaded, if I try to scroll a bit more, things go a bit crazy.  A loading icon flickers on and off over the grid; the data in the grid flickers away and then back; and the entire UI essentially gets stuck in this situation.

When defining TextColumns with a CellStyleSelector, it works correctly the first time the DataGrid is bound to the ItemsSource.

If you then update the bound collection (which has PropChanged wired up), the CellStyleSelector's SelectStyle method is properly executed, but the DatasGrid doesn't use the returned DataGridBorderStyle.

iOS - Works as expected
UWP - Background color doesn't update
Android - Background color doesn't update

Find reproducible attached

Available in the R2 2018 release.

The BindingContext of the RadDataGrid does not propagate to its columns.

Workaround for GroupHeaderTemplate:

<grid:RadDataGrid.GroupHeaderTemplate>
    <DataTemplate>
        <Label Text="{Binding Group.Key}"/>
    </DataTemplate>
</grid:RadDataGrid.GroupHeaderTemplate>

Workaround for column:

<telerikDataGrid:DataGridTemplateColumn HeaderText="Name" >
    <telerikDataGrid:DataGridTemplateColumn.CellContentTemplate>
        <DataTemplate>
            <Label Text="{Binding Name}"/>
        </DataTemplate>
    </telerikDataGrid:DataGridTemplateColumn.CellContentTemplate>
</telerikDataGrid:DataGridTemplateColumn>

UPDATE:
We have decided not to change the code of the RadDataGrid component in this regard. The root reason for this is the fact that the Skia APIs used to draw the text does not support automatic character fallback. To overcome this issue, people from Skia team have two suggestions. We have tested them out and none of them is applicable for the case of the DataGrid.
First approach slows down the performance of the component to a point where the DataGrid becomes unusable.
Second approach does not fix the problem in all cases.
Having this in mind the best approach for our customers in such cases is to use a TemplateCell with a Label inside it only for the column(s) where they expect symbols to occur. The Xamarin.Forms.Label supports automatic character fallback hence it should properly handle all cases.

Column names in column selector are not visible in Android the first time the column selector is shown. This happens only in the case UserFilterMode is disabled.

Refer to the attached reproducible.

1. Run app and apply a filter: "Contains 0"

2. Notice #40 is in the correct location, between #30 and #50

3. Press the button on the bottom of the page to go BlankPage and then navigate back.

4. Observe #40 is now at the end of the rows even though the filter is clearly applied.

Look in MainPageViewModel.cs lines 42 to 49. When the navigation back occurs, this code is executed.  I can reproduce the problem with both Replace and Add+Remove operations.

public override void OnNavigatedTo(INavigationParameters parameters)
{
    base.OnNavigatedTo(parameters);

    if (!parameters.ContainsKey("from"))
    {
        var items = new ObservableCollection<MyModel>();
        for (var i = 1; i <= 100; i++)
            items.Add(new MyModel { Number = i.ToString() });
        Items = items;
    }
    else
    {
        var item = Items[39];

        // Bug Test #1 - using ObservableCollection Reset
        Items[39] = item;

        // Bug Test #2 - using ObservableCollection Remove & Add
        //Items.RemoveAt(39);
        //Items.Insert(39, item);
    }
}
