Pickers: Support for DropDown mode

Hello,

We have implemented a control that displays a RadDateTimePicker and we are using it on Android, iOS and UWP platforms with Xamarin.Forms.

We would like the popup to be positioned just below or above the control that displays it, could you tell us how it would be possible to do this?

We are using this nugets versions:

  • Telerik 2020.3.1106.1
  • Xamarin.Forms 4.7.0.1142

Greetings.

Hi Francisco,

Regarding the question: We would like the popup to be positioned just below or above the control that displays it, could you tell us how it would be possible to do this? Currently, the DateTimePicker control does not provide an option to change the popup(dialog) position. I have changed the status of the Feature Request to "Unplanned"(as it is a valid feature request) and renamed the feedback item title. Find your Telerik points updated as a small sign of gratitude for this feature request.

Here is our explanation of the Pickers DrowDown mode feature requestThis mode should visualize the spinners just below the control in a popup-like container. It should be closed when end-user taps outside its content. If there is not enough space for the container to be visualized below the control, it should automatically be positioned elsewhere around the picker.

Also, if you have any additional information to share about the dropdown mode you can add a comment to the feedback item.

Didi

Hello Francisco,

Could you please elaborate more on the scenario you want to achieve and on the following sentence: We have implemented a control that displays a RadDateTimePicker... -> The Telerik DateTimePicker is positioned inside another control which is a popup, or you talk about the dialog which is opened (popup) when you tap on the Telerik DateTime Picker control?

If I understood correctly, you want the DateTimePicker dialog which is opened when you tap on the datetime picker to be displayed under/above the control? Is this correct?

I look forward to your reply.

Didi
