Currently, this can be achieved partially by using the FlowDirection property but the result could be unexpected for right-to-left.

When creating themed applications using RadControls, the standard Windows MessageBox control looks out of place. With that in mind, the predefined RadWindows (Alert and Confirm) seem to be natural replacements for a typical MessageBox.

However, when these dialogs open, they are silent That is, they don't play any error, warning, or question sounds like the standard MessageBox - which makes them seem "strange" when used as a replacement.

Adding sounds to (for instance) the Alert window is fairly simple and can be accomplished like this:

RadWindow.Alert(new DialogParameters()
{
    Content = new System.Windows.Controls.TextBlock {
        Text = ex.Message, Width = 250, TextWrapping = TextWrapping.Wrap },
    Header = "Update Error",
    Opened = (alertDialog, eventArgs) => System.Media.SystemSounds.Exclamation.Play()
});

Though, it'd be nice if the ability to play a sound was built-in. I'd suggest that the DialogParameters class used to customize the predefined dialogs be extended to support a SystemSound member of type System.Media.SystemSounds which, if defined, would play the specified sound when the dialog opens.

Right now this functionality is missing and the user is not able to scroll the viewer when the row header is selected and not the cell.

Add a mechanism that allows the chart to process only the data within the viewport. This should improve the memory footprint and the performance of the chart in scenarios with big number of data points.

Currently FTP network locations are not present in RadFileDialogs.

Implement support for them similar to MS Dialogs.

Hi,

I have been working wit the RadGridView for about 6 years now and it works great!

The only thing that still bugs me after all these years is the GridViewComboBoxColumn. The sorting and "Search as you type" features are not working for us. The fact that it uses the DataMemberBinding is something we do not get.

The fact that it is not ordered or searched into the shown value instead of the DataMemberPath is beyond me.

I mean, why would I, as a user, want to search into or sort a value that is not visible to me?

Adding a feature like a string property on the GridViewComboBoxColumn that is used for displaying, searching, filtering and sorting would be awesome!

The filter's distinct values work well, but the field filters show the enum value and that's not good.

I have attached a sample project to demonstrate the problems with sorting, filtering and searching.

There are also print screens attached to clarify each feature mentioned

Thanks!

Python is one of the most important scripting languages. It would be nice if this language was supported by default.

This feature request is related to Ticket 1435779

Image for context

Currently, there's no support for increasing the drag threshold for the items on the orange box. Even after setting the values below.

DragDropManager.MinimumHorizontalDragDistance = 5000;
DragDropManager.MinimumVerticalDragDistance = 5000;

It would also be beneficial if instead of just relying on the drag threshold which is the box. Add a support for a sort of "Drag Time" concept where we can define how long the user should've held the actual pane before dragging/going outside the threshold.

An non edit mode is enabled in the control when the EditMode is set to Single. In this case, only one field can enter edit mode and the rest are read only.

Currently, there is no API that allows you to customize the content (that shows the property value) of the read only fields.

Add an API that allows you to customize the read only content. Similar to the EditorTemplate of the PropertyDefinition.

Some fonts doesn't include bold and italic font styles. Currently text formatted with such fonts and with applied bold or italic formatting is exported without the italic or bold effect. Instead, the default typeface can be exported, and additional transformation could be applied to the letters itself - e.g. skew transform for the italic.

Add a mechanism that allows you to sort each child level separately. For example, by applying a different sort descriptor to each child hierarchical view collection.
