When text is exported from PDF document using the TextFormatProvider (it's also used internally for the Copy operation), it is automatically split to lines using the vertical position of the words on the page, and small tolerance. Currently the tolerance is hard-coded to 0.1 pixels, which is not suitable for documents which contains scanned and OCR-ed text, and there the text lines could be slightly inclined. The result is that words on one slightly inclined line are recognized as if they are on separate lines.
Matte color is used for preblending images with some background color, using the SMask. Matte color is specified using the optional 'Matte' entry for the SMask object. See PDF 1.7 specification, page 554-555: Matte array (Optional; PDF 1.4) An array of component values specifying the matte color with which the image data in the parent image has been preblended. The array consists of nnumbers, where n is the number of components in the color space specified by the ColorSpace entry in the parent image’s image dictionary; the numbers must be valid color components in that color space. If this entry is absent, the image data is not preblended.
This allows specifying a soft mask in the external graphics state.
A pop-up annotation displays text in a pop-up window for entry and editing. It typically does not appear alone but is associated with a markup annotation (its parent annotation) and is used for editing the parent’s text.
Implement import and export of content with Type0Font with GBK-EUC-H encoding.
By using "Auto Detect Hyperlink" functionality RadPdfViewer should detect URLs and email addresses and turn them into hyperlinks. For instance if the PDF file contains text http://www.telerik.com/ this text should become a hyperlink.
Currently, the disabling of the scrolling functionalities in PdfViewer is pretty tricky. Expose an API that allows users to control this functionality easier (hiding the scroll bars, disabling horizontal and/or vertical scrolling). A sample of how the scrolling could be completely disabled is attached to this item.
If you search in a very large file and there are no matches of the string you're searching for or the matches are very far from the start (e.g. on the 10 000th page), the search takes a lot of time. The scenario can also lead to a crash. Consider adding a progress bar showing on which page we're currently searching and implementing possibility to cancel the search.
This mode allows users to show two pages of the document side by side. With the current API this may be achieved by implementing Custom Presenter.
A rubber stamp annotation displays text or graphics intended to look as if they were stamped on the page with a rubber stamp. When opened, it displays a pop-up window containing the text of the associated note.
The default WPF PrintDialog cannot print asynchronously when it is shown in UI. However, you may see the demo in this forum post showing how to create custom PrintDialog and perform async printing with it: http://www.telerik.com/forums/pdfviewer-print-makes-ui-unresponsive#js0YdzFWc0Oa8C3g6a18lg
Currently, when printing landscape pages the content is rotated clockwise. There has to be an option to set it to anti-clockwise.
This may allow someone to notify the users.
Using this API the some may turn the busy indicator.
Represents Highlights PDF content. While the other annotations are drawn on top of the content, the highlight annotation is behind the text it highlights. In other words, it has to be inserted at a specific place in the ContentElementsUILayer. The precise place where the highlight should be placed is described in the PDF file with the BDC, MCID and EMC operators. At the moment, we have implemented a read-only rendering for all annotation types which draws the annotions separately from the page content. In the case of Highlight, the annotation is drawn below the other content. With this implementation, depending on the PDF content, the highlight annotation might be visible or it might not be because in some cases there is geometry content below the highlighted text which hides the highlight annotation appearance.
Dialog for inputting the password should be implemented in order to be able to decrypt the file content.
