When the current SpanLayoutBox is split (for example by inserting space), the DocumentPosition created with trackDocumentChangeEvents option (with some of the constructor accepting the boolean 'trackDocumentChangeEvents' parameter) jumps back with two symbols.

Currently the sgen tool raises an exception when executing it on RadControls and RadControls.UI. There is also an XmlSerialization exception when loading the application.

One should be able to persist to a file all changes made when using the element hierarchy editor at design time.

I have a custom Fluent theme as a package, it would be nice if there was a way to load packages (Embedded Resource or files) with the RadThemeManager.

Rather than typing this: Telerik.WinControls.ThemeResolutionService.LoadPackageResource("GUI.Themes.Fluent_Custom.tssp");

Right now the RadThemeManager only supports XML files. Feeding it a tssp file doesn't work.

For it to show up in design-time I have to assign it all of the unpackaged XML files and then delete the RadThemeManager for the theme to show up, otherwise the load time is like 7 seconds, where as embedded packages load super fast.

The fluent theme has a lot of XML files and this is a huge pain, supporting 1 Embedded Resource tssp package would be nice.

Would also be nice if the RadThemeManager could apply/change a theme globally somewhere in the SmartTag menu or RadThemeManager properties.

Instead of having to type this: ThemeResolutionService.ApplicationThemeName = "Fluent_Custom";

Default:

Desired:

Workaround: handle the ExplorerControl.MainNavigationTreeView.NodeFormatting event and replace the node's text with the FileBrowserTreeNode.Label:

    Sub New()

        InitializeComponent()

        AddHandler Me.RadOpenFileDialog1.OpenFileDialogForm.ExplorerControl.MainNavigationTreeView.NodeFormatting, AddressOf MainNavigationTreeView_NodeFormatting
        Me.RadOpenFileDialog1.ShowDialog()
    End Sub

    Private Sub MainNavigationTreeView_NodeFormatting(sender As Object, e As Telerik.WinControls.UI.TreeNodeFormattingEventArgs)
        If e.Node.Text = "K:" Then
            Dim f As FileBrowserTreeNode = TryCast(e.Node, FileBrowserTreeNode)
            If f IsNot Nothing Then
                e.Node.Text = f.DataItem.Label
            End If
        End If
    End Sub

When a developer set the RadForm.ThemeName property and then drag any controls onto the form, they will get automatically this theme applied to the control's ThemeName property. However, if you already have some controls on the form with ThemeName = "X" and you change RadForm.ThemeName to "Y", all controls' ThemeName should be changed to the new RadForm.ThemeName as well.

Similar to RadMulticolumnComboBox but it should allow multiple items to be checked. Please refer to RadDropDownList and RadCheckedDropDownList.

Workaround:

I would like to request 2 features/properties:

  1. Disable going back to the days on year editing end (hacked here by the SelectFirstItem() override).
  2. Enable inserting number of days that is currently more than the allowed days in the month by adding one month (hacked by the HandleKeyPressDay() override and MyDayLogic())
    • the date set is 15.09.2019, we start writing the date 31.12.2019. Currently you have to change the months first than the days
    • i guess this is a problem for formats with days first but it is a problem

public class MyMaskDateTimeProvider : MaskDateTimeProvider
{
public MyMaskDateTimeProvider(string mask, CultureInfo culture, RadMaskedEditBoxElement owner)
: base(mask, culture, owner)
{
this.AutoSelectNextPart = true;
}

public override void SelectFirstItem() { } //base.SelectFirstItem(); //we do not want to go back to the days after the year part

protected override void HandleKeyPressDay(MaskPart part, KeyPressEventArgs e)
{
if(!int.TryParse(e.KeyChar.ToString(), out int result))
return;
string str = part.value.ToString();
int num1 = 0;
int num2;
if(part.hasZero)
{
if(num1 < part.min
|| num1 > part.max)
{
num2 = result;
}
else
{
if(str.Length > 1)
str = str.Substring(1);
num2 = int.Parse(str + e.KeyChar);
}
}
else
{
if(str.Length > 1)
str = str.Substring(1);
num2 = int.Parse(str + e.KeyChar);
}

if(part.day)
{
MyDayLogic(part, num2, result);
}
else
{
part.value = num2 < part.min || num2 > part.max
? result
: num2;
}

part.hasZero = result == 0;
}

private void MyDayLogic(MaskPart part, int num2, int result)
{
//logic for not continuing when changing days and current set month has less days then days needed, when that happens add one month to the current
if((num2 < part.min)
|| (num2 > part.max))
{
if((num2 > part.min)
&& (num2 <= 31))
{
SelectNextEditableItem();
Up(this.List[this.SelectedItemIndex], this.MinDate, this.MaxDate);
SelectPrevEditableItem();
SelectNextEditableItem();
part.value = num2;
}
else
{
part.value = result;
}
}
else
{
part.value = num2;
}
}
}

Hi, I would like to use the conversion tool to convert a WinForms project to Telerik controls. Unfortunately the menu item is not showing up for me. See attached screenshot.

The project to be converted does include a reference to System.Windows.Forms. I am using VS2019 with the latest Telerik Winforms release.

Thanks,

-Lou

It will be nice if one can add his custom sub menu items at design-time through the 'Add new item' menu. This was supported in the past, but the support was removed together with the introduced design-time optimizations.

When RadOpenFileDialog is opened, open an Explorer window , select a file, copy it and paste in the folder displayed from the RadOpenFileDialog. If the same operation is performed using a standard WinForms OpenFile dialog the pasted file is selected after the paste operation.

Currently, RadFileDialogs uses a RadAutoCompleteBox for specifying the folder/file name. It would be nice to have a drop down with recent files:

The customers need to additionally process the elements after inserting them into the document or just change the caret position relative to the inserted element. At this point, the methods only insert elements without returning the concrete instance or copy the element passed as a parameter, if such overload is available (editor.InsertTable(table) clones the table and inserts a different instance in the document, InsertInline() clones the inline as well).
