Add support for All Capitals (All caps) and Small Capitals (Small caps) run property. MS Word has such option in Home -> Font -> Dialog Launcher -> Font -> All Caps/Small Caps.

All letters of such runs are visualized as capital letters.

The corresponding elements in OOXML are <w:caps /> and <w:smallcaps />.

Add only a RichTextEditorRibbonBar without any other control on the form. If you run the application you will notice that it loads more than one second. We should investigate if it is possible and how to improve the initialization time.

Workaround: To clear a given property, basing on some logic which determines if it should be cleared. For example
this.radRichTextEditor1.CommandExecuting += (s, e) =>
{
    if (e.Command is ChangeStyleNameCommand)
    {
        var style = this.radRichTextEditor1.Document.StyleRepository.GetValueOrNull(e.CommandParameter.ToString());
        if (style.Type == Telerik.WinForms.Documents.Model.Styles.StyleType.Paragraph)
        {
            Paragraph paragraph = this.radRichTextEditor1.Document.CaretPosition.GetCurrentParagraphBox().AssociatedParagraph;
            foreach (Span span in paragraph.EnumerateChildrenOfType<Span>())
            {
                span.ClearValue(Span.FontFamilyProperty);
                span.ClearValue(Span.FontSizeProperty);
            }
        }
    }
};

There is an issue with the way the editor decides what width to render a table.

The example I have encountered is in an HTML email from Outlook that contained a table. Whatever way Outlook composes the HTML, it adds a width attribute and a style attribute to the table's opening tag:

<table width="0" style="width: 500px;">

In this situation, the inline style should take precedence over the width attribute (the width attribute is actually deprecated as of HTML5). This is how all common browsers behave.

You can see in the attached 1_browser.png that Chrome correctly renders the table at 500px;

However the RadRichtextEditor component incorrectly renders the table at width 0 as shown in attached 2_RadRichtextEditor.png, ignoring the width specified in the style attribute.

Curiously, other CSS rules in the style attribute are correctly interpreted.
For example:

<table width="0" style="width: 500px;font-weight:bold;">

will display a table of zero width with bold text in the RadRichTextEditor.

Thanks guys!

To reproduce: please refer to the attached sample project. You will notice that the exported HTML content from the left RadRichTextEditor is imported to the right and the bullets are not the same.

Workaround:
string styleSuffix = "_1";
foreach (var importedStyle in rtfDoc.StyleRepository)
{
        importedStyle.Name = string.Concat(importedStyle.Name, styleSuffix);

To reproduce:
- Add some misspelled words.
- Enable the spell check - the layout is updated and the words are underlined.
- Disable the spell check - the lines are not removed until one clicks in the RichTextEditor.

Workaround:
 radRichTextEditor1.IsSpellCheckingEnabled = !radRichTextEditor1.IsSpellCheckingEnabled;
 radRichTextEditor1.Document.LayoutMode = DocumentLayoutMode.Paged;
 radRichTextEditor1.Document.LayoutMode = DocumentLayoutMode.Flow;

To reproduce:
1. Insert a table
2. Select all cells in it
3. Press the Backspace key => the table is removed but the table adorner is still visible

The adorner disappears if clicked

InvalidOperationException is thrown in the IsInNonEditableRange() method of RadDocument when assigning a document to RadRichTextBox, which is created through the model and contains several read-only ranges.

Workaround: Call MeasureAndArrangeInDefaulSize().

Local properties are not exported to HTML when style is applied over document element (paragraphs, spans, tables) in case the HtmlExportSettings.StyleExportMode is set to Inline.

To reproduce:
- Add two hyperlinks with differents font and font weights.
- Export them with the following code:
private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
    HtmlFormatProvider html_provider = default(HtmlFormatProvider);
    string htmlBody = null;
    html_provider = new HtmlFormatProvider();
    html_provider.ExportSettings.StylesExportMode = StylesExportMode.Inline;
    html_provider.ExportSettings.StyleRepositoryExportMode = StyleRepositoryExportMode.ExportStylesAsCssClasses;
    htmlBody = html_provider.Export(radRichTextEditor1.Document);
    File.WriteAllText("test.html", htmlBody);
}
- Open the file and you will notice that the custom styles are not exported (the links are having the same style).

Workaround:
html_provider.ExportSettings.StylesExportMode = StylesExportMode.Classes;

To reproduce:

1. Add a RichTextEditorRibbonBar on the form
2. Add a RadRichTextEditor on the form.
3. Set the RichTextEditorRibbonBar.AssociatedRichTextEditor property.
4. Run the application. You will notice that the caret for the RadRichTextEditor is displayed and the user expects to start entering text when pressing the keyboard. However, the focused control in this case is the font family drop-down and it accepts the input.

Workaround: focus the RadRichTextEditor in the Form.Shown event:

Private Sub Form1_Shown(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Shown
    Me.RadRichTextEditor1.Focus()
End Sub

When exporting to HTML, each two consequent spaces in a run are treated as &nbsp;. However, when a style is applied to one of the spaces, the span is split and the two spaces are not considered as a pair, therefore, the HtmlFormatProvider exports them as normal spaces.

When the two spaces are the whole content of a paragraph, this paragraph is not visible when the HTML is visualized in a browser.

To reproduce: please refer to the attached gif file

Add a custom tab in the ribbon UI and a RadDropDownListElement bound to a list of strings. The first item is selected by default. Insert a table by using the ribbon UI and try to get programmatically the RadDropDownListElement.SelectedValue/Index. It is null/-1 although the text is correct.

Workaround:

public class CustomRichTextEditorRibbonBar : RichTextEditorRibbonBar
{
           protected override void CreateChildItems(RadElement parent)
    {
        base.CreateChildItems(parent);
        FieldInfo fi = typeof(RadRibbonBar).GetField("ribbonBarElement", BindingFlags.Instance | BindingFlags.NonPublic);
        RadRibbonBarElement ribbonBarElement = fi.GetValue(this) as RadRibbonBarElement;

        ribbonBarElement = new CustomRadRibbonBarElement();
        fi.SetValue(this, ribbonBarElement);
        this.RootElement.Children.Add(ribbonBarElement);

        ribbonBarElement.CommandTabSelecting +=
            delegate (object sender, CommandTabSelectingEventArgs args) { OnCommandTabSelecting(args); };
        ribbonBarElement.CommandTabSelected +=
            delegate (object sender, CommandTabEventArgs args) { OnCommandTabSelected(args); };

        ribbonBarElement.ExpandedStateChanged += delegate (object sender, EventArgs args)
        {
            this.OnRibbonBarExpandedStateChanged(args);
        };

    }
}

public class CustomRadRibbonBarElement : RadRibbonBarElement
{

    protected override float GetMaximumTabContentHeight()
    {
        return 104;
    }
}
