Steps to reproduce: 

1. Open a performance test and run it. 

2. Switch to History view and enter a description for any of the runs. 

3. Restart the project.

Expected: to be able to see the entered descrimption

Currently, the Project pane items autosort by name when they are created. It would be more useful if we could manually sort these items so we can run tests sequentially instead of alphabetically. Currently I'm resorting to naming folders and test cases with a numerical system to get them in the order I want them to be in.

It would be very welcome if there is an option to be able to ignore a test during testexecution. For example when you have a suite with tests and you know that one test will keep failing for some time (api work in progress etc), after running the suite, the suite gets a red dot  while the others tests have passed.

When right-clicking on an item (file, folder, test) it only works the first time. On subsequent clicks, you have to right-click twice to get the edit field to become visible.

I am getting this exception when opening the step screen. Any fix in the meantime? Ive tried reinstalling the application. This is after i updated to latest release 2017.3.1010.0

I set up a variable base-url, but it doesn't work

Step to reproduce: 

1. Create a sample web test.

2. Run a performance test of it. 

3. Rename any of the steps within the web test. 

4. Running the test again will not update the new step names in the Overview view of the local performance execution. 

5. Include the test into a performance test list and execute it. 

6. The steps names are updated in drill down the test results view but the names are the initial ones in the Profile Results view.

When trying to configure the Bug Tracking Setup to use the online TFS service it could not connect to the server. Please see the screenshot.

Steps to reproduce: 

1. Create a sample project and connect it to source control. Perform the initial check-in

2. Set a test with the In Development flag and save the project. This will mark the Settings file as pending change 

3. Revert the Settings file to Server version

Expected: The Settings file is reverted and there are no tests listed In Development and this reflected in the UI as well. 

Actual: The Settings file is reverted and there are no tests listed In Development. But the file initially flagged is still displayed in red and its context menu allows you to remove the In Development.

I would like to see  expand/collapse button for tests and folders in the 'Create a new Test list' dialog just like it is in the 'Elements exlporer' now.

By default the tests view is expanded, and it is not comfortable to expand/collapse in the tree to select the proper test to be added to the test list.

The concern is that Test Studio begins performing the search dynamically as soon as the first character is typed, and continues redoing the search on each subsequent character typed and for very large projects this causes the tool to freeze for several minutes. 

It would be nice to have the ability to disable the dynamic search feature (as soon as a character is typed) and have a search bar that requires a full string of text entered before the search is performed. 

Additionally, after a search is completed, all nodes in the project tree structure are expanded with no easy way to collapse the tree back again.

When I search for something in the Project Explorer and press X the folders keep expanded. When searching for something general, you need to close each folders by pressing the collapse arrow.

Collapse all button will be a great feature.

Steps to reproduce: 

1. Create a sample project and add a test within. 

2. Copy the tstest file to a location outside of the project root folder and rename it. 

3 .In the project select to add existing test and select the renamed file (step 2.)

Actual: The test is added but there is no check if the ids are the same and since the names of tests differ they are left with the same id. 

Expected: To double check if there is a test with the same id and generate new in this case.

It will be much easier and faster to configure the browsers if we have such functionality in case you don't have installed Test Studio Standalone version.

Seems to hang for 5+ mins with large (800kb) XML response (ATOM Feed). My response is a single line with no breaks which maybe compounding the issue?

Steps to reproduce: 

1. Start recording against the specific web page using FF. 

Expected: To be able to highlight elements

Actual: Highlighting does not appear at all. 

Note: Recording, executing and highlighting works fine against IE and Chrome. Already recorded tests could be also successfully executed against Firefox. 

Steps could be recorded against Firefox also but the elements do not get highlighted.

Hi,
actually we try TestStudio, but we have some problems. We record some tests and we wrote some tests. Recording is not that easy, because the detection of elements is not configureable (we need detection by id everytime). But this is not our major Problem. In the Trial Version we cannot test the full system. We want to try the scheduling server with the execution server. But when we try to connect, we get an error message that we need a storage server. The problem is, its not implemented in the trial version.  Can you tell me solution for our problem?

Steps to reproduce: 

1. Schedule a test list and edit it to be recurring minutely, hourly or daily. 

2. Once the series appear in the calendar, double click any of the items and choose to edit the series. 

Expected: The Recurring pane to display what was selected initially.  

Actual: In the Recurring pane selected will be Weekly despite of the fact it was Minutely/Hourly/Daily initially selected. The value how often the task to be repeated will not be the default (once a week) but will be the listed  previously. (if selected to run a test list in every 15 min in edit mode it will be in every 15 weeks) 

Note: If Monthly or Yearly was initially selected the appearance is as expected in Edit mode.

I have the need to increment a global variable to use in testing.  For example, I send a variable in my uri that my device reads to set an internal setting.  I want to make sure that the device accepts the whole range of numbers allowed by the devices internal variable type.  Is there a way to do this currently?
