Allow adding a "Connect to pop-up window" step from the Step Builder.

Currently, there are two ways to add a "Connect to pop-up window" step. One is to record an action that causes the pop-up and allow Test Studio to automatically add the connection step. The other is to copy and paste an existing step.

Being able to add the step from the Step Builder prevents having to record a test, wait for Test Studio to connect, and then change the automatically created values to the desired values.

If you try to locate a number of elements which are structurally related to a known element in the hierarchy and use the following code:
HtmlControl tablecontrol = Manager.ActiveBrowser.Find.ByXPath<HtmlControl>("//table[@class='tTable tTableStripes']");
HtmlFindExpression expression = new HtmlFindExpression("tagindex=td");
IList<Element> foundelements = tablecontrol.Find.AllByExpression(expression);

The code compiles without problems, but at runtime it throws the exception:
System.NotSupportedException: Find.All is currently not supported for expressions that have a hierarchal dependency

1. Execute the attached test to the second step against FF or Chrome

2. From Elements explorer choose the recorded element and try to locate it in the DOM tree.

Expected: The element to be located in the DOM explorer

Actual: No response from the DOM explorer.

If the above is performed in IE it works fine.

Recently, I download and installed Telerik Testing Framework and when running the solution "QuickStarts_NUnit_cs" in Visual Studio 2013 Professional I faced some issues. The issues occurs running either Firefox ESR, IE11 (Version or Chrome (Version 66.0.3359.181). In Firefox ESR 45.3.0 does not start any instance of browser. In IE11 and Chrome, start instance of browser but without change the URL address.

How can you fixed those kind of issues?

Best regards,
Gilberto Murteira

Currently, load tests do not decode JSON and XML from the HTTP requests and responses captured for load testing. Decode these in the captured traffic and offer them as dynamic target options in the load test configuration.
Last Updated: 13 Jun 2018 13:33 by ADMIN
Currently the Test Studio Load testing feature will only detect dynamic targets if they are in a standard key-value query format. Load testing should add support for dynamic targets received and sent back to the WebAPI in a JSON format. JSON is ubiquitous and the lack of support for JSON dynamic targets is a big limitation.

When you schedule a test list you have a Get Latest from TFS option. When you Run List Remotely this checkbox is missing. Since we are a TFS shop we really need this option added to Run List Remotely.

Create a test with step that captures the browser state. When executed against some websites in IE the image has blank content. The same test executed against other website capture the image successfully.

For example the following executed against captures a blank image:

            ActiveBrowser.NavigateTo("", true);
            System.Drawing.Bitmap brImg = null;
            brImg = ActiveBrowser.Capture();

However the same code executed against works.

Wait step for an element to 'not be visible' hangs the runner in test list using Chrome when the element could not be found. There is an exception in the log file for missing element but no further tests from the test list are starting.

It would be convenient to have one more line stating what is the result of the test: PASS, FAIL, ABORTED, etc.
If it is breaking change it can be reported only if specific option was present on command line.
 Otherwise I have to open the results file mentioned on the last line, but it will same time if I just see PASS here

When testing my API i found that even though I set up a condition on StatusCode = 200, the test will pass regardless of response if I run the whole test. If I run the step seperately, the test will fail.

When using the attribute DeploymenItem the newtonsoft could not be found.

For example the test below could not be executed unless the Newtonsoft.Json.dll is in the GAC:

[DeploymentItem(@"Inventory\WebUiTestData.xml", "Inventory")]
public class TelerikVSUnitTest1 : BaseTest

If it commented out the test will work fine.
public class TelerikVSUnitTest1 : BaseTest

Details shared internally!!!

1. Execute the test in attached project.

2. The step 'Click SaveButton' in the popup closes the popup so it has the property 'ClosesBrowser' enabled.

Expected: to execute all steps successfully

Actual: the last 'Close Popup' step fails

The workaround is to insert an execution delay between the 'Click SaveButton' and 'Close Popup' to ensure the actions will be synced.

1. Record a test which contains connect to pop-up step.

2. Execute in Edge.

Expected behavior: The test should pass

Data driven test using a local data source. If the columns in the grid are reordered the test is not marked as dirty and the change is not being saved.

Steps to reproduce:

1.  Open a test
2.  Choose 'Local data'
3. Add a columns and drag and drop an existing column in a different place in the table.
4.  Save the test.
5. Close and reopen the test or project.
6.  Browse to 'Local data'.
7. Column order change was not stored, the column order reverts back to the original order.
