Desktop commands (e.g. Left Click on xxx) have a Focus property which controls whether or not a Scroll To Visible happens at the beginning of the step. When you turn on Simulate Real Typing (Set Text) or Simulate Real Click (Click X) I want the ability to disable Scroll To Visible. However I can't because these steps have no Focus property on them. In addition, I would like to be able to control what the default recorded setting will be. Currently Desktop commands default to Focus being checked and I'd rather have the default to be unchecked.
Requested on behalf of customer (reference ticket # 803706 in support ticketing system). From support ticket: We are unable to view TRX test results within Visual Studio 2010, 2012, 2013. We click the TRX, it loads and shows the basic test result info in the "Test Results" pane, but clicking on an individual test gives the error "Cannot show result details: unknown test type". We simply need a way to read results which shouldn't require an install of Test Studio we're hoping. Additional detail: We're looking for the ability to read results from any number of machines at any given point. What are your thoughts on Telerik exploring the idea of maybe creating a "reader only"? Akin to the free product Adobe Reader or Windows Word Reader.
When viewing the test Results view, there are things that I would like to have here. The test results view only shows me 5 columns and I cannot change these. These 5 columns are nice, but I want to see more. For me, I do not really care seeing the complete Test Path of my test, I would actually prefer to see just the Test Name. This would either eliminate or limit the dynamic nature of the column to resize the column length when initially loading the results tab of Test Studio. With that being said, if the Test Path changed to Test Name, I would assume that the Result column will be present with low need to resize the column to make it visible. At this time, I feel that the Browser column is not very useful to me, but is probably useful for others. So having the ability to customize the results view to have useful columns like Test Name, Start Time, End Time, Passed/Total, and Results would be extremely helpful. Also to have and/or know any other queryable field will be a great addition to this feature.
Currently we are able to filter the data only in a specific range of rows. The grid filters are not applying during the execution and there is no other way to filter data except by specific row range. We want to be able to filter the data by a specific content (e.g. text content).
We have 3 test lists which differs only by BaseUrl. When we execute them and when we open the 'Performance: History view grid' for the specific test we see a lot of test run results, but it is not clear which run was made on which environment, because there's no such info in the grid. We like to see the BaseUrl info in that grid.
When an already scheduled test list is double clicked to be rescheduled the initially selected machines are not visible, On the second screen where the execution machines are listed no machine is selected when rescheduling (refer to screenshot). It is expected to retain the initial choice and a if required to change it.
Scheduled test lists: Display the lists that did not run, and the reason. Currently they fall into a blackhole that does not let anything escape, even light.
scheduling test lists: make the default time in the future. Currently the time is default to current time, so it will not run because that time will have passed by the time you have completed the schedule. Please make the default time 5 minutes in the future
1. Create account for above website 2. Use Test Studio to capture traffic for a new User Profile in a Load Test 3. Navigate to http://ngauthenticationweb.azurewebsites.net/#/home 4. Log in with just created account 5. End recording when page loads after logging in 5. **Authentication token is generated in response of "http://ngauthenticationapi.azurewebsites.net/token" call 6. **Generated token is used in request of "http://ngauthenticationweb.azurewebsites.net/app/views/orders.html" call Expected behavior: The token to be detected as dynamic target. Actual behavior: Dynamic Targets button not enabled in Test Studio if this web traffic is used
Make a change to Test A, but don't save. Make a change to Test B, but don't save. Revert Test A to the server version. Navigate back to Test B & note that the red checkmark displays next to the test name. Open Test B & note that the pending change was wiped out. A warning message should be displayed to advise users that any unsaved changes will be wiped out if they revert a test to the server version.
Adding custom tag to be used in the elements' find expression while recording does not work as expected against Chrome and Firefox when Run -> To Here is used. Workaround: IE works fine with Record, Run -> To Here and Load Page options. JS browsers work with Record and Load Page options.
When I search for something in the Project Explorer and press X the folders keep expanded. When searching for something general, you need to close each folders by pressing the collapse arrow. Collapse all button will be a great feature.
It would be nice if we implement a ScrollToMiddle feature in Test Studio. The reason for this is that we have ScrollToTop and ScrollToBottom, but sometimes when we have static elements for example static header or footer in a page the following problem is experienced: In a test if you want to click on an element that is scrolled to visible the element in question is getting under the static header or footer on the page and cannot be clicked.
As described in the documentation here: http://docs.telerik.com/teststudio/troubleshooting-guide/recording-problems-tg/highlighting-misaligned Test Studio currently requires DPI set to 100% in order for recorder highlighting to calculate the element coordinates and function properly. This request is about updating the recorder to support higher DPI settings as well.
It would be nice if the SelectedItems screen in the step properties pane stayed open and there was a Close button or you could pin the screen until you have completed manually adding multiple selections.
In the new build pipeline in TFS 2015, there is no ability to run Test Studio tests because it uses a different build agent than the XAML builds, failing because of lack of interactivity. According to Telerik Support, this is a known issue. Going forward, I would hope that Telerik would support this new build automation from TFS.
