The send results dialog that allows you to send email notification upon test list completion is only generated when scheduling tests for remote execution. I would like this feature to be available when test lists are run immediately using the "Run List" button/command
Hey guys, I'm looking for a feature in test studio that would allow users to have multiple ramp up/down times using the load/performance testing functionality. For example, start with X users then gradually ramp up to Y users over the next N minutes. After N minutes maintain a constant load of Y users for the rest of the duration of the load test. To me, this is the one feature test studio is lacking compared to the other players in the load/performance testing industry. Please like if you agree that this would be a great feature for the test studio team to implement. Thanks all! Steve Charlton T4G Limited
Many verifications (e.g. verify visible) can be made data-driven; but not verify exists, which has to be fixed at true or false. Can you introduce a data-driven version of the exists verification please? This would be useful in order to have a testcase which, repeated for a number of different user accounts, verifies that screen elements either exist or do not exist according to the user's permissions.
Telerik does not support test studio assemblies in .net standard and does not have a test runner in .net core. Considering all of our Azure DevOps and container agents are running linux we will not be able to use the tool.
Please add this feature to your product.
Will be great if we can reuse the same verification from one step in another. The same for headers and body input. May be the best option here is to allow "Step" inheritance. So you can declare base Step with some data, and then step-inheritor can reuse verifications and others from step-base.
In our project we have touch support but we are unable to test it. We are using the test framework (without the recorder). API to simulate touch within the test framework would be of great help. We are locating elements and coordinates in code so we do not need touch recording yet. We are OK to run the tests in Windows8 only and the Windows8 OS have a native API to simulate touch. There is documentation in the MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/hh802881(v=vs.85).aspx Minimum supported client Windows 8 [desktop apps only] Minimum supported server Windows Server 2012 [desktop apps only] Header Winuser.h DLL User32.dll So a tiny managed wrapper for .NET within the Test Studio's framework would be greatly appreciated. :)
test studio integrated code editor - commenting out/in keyboard Shortcuts Quite simply it would be nice to have a few keyboard shortcuts in the integrated test studio code editor, such as the ability to comment out/in a line of code (or blocks of code) without having to manually place the "/"'s for every line. I know we can open the projects in Visual Studio, however sometimes it is not worth the hassle when you are already in Test Studio for whatever reason to just switch out to Visual Studio. Thanks for listening! Dan
In the storyboard, many test steps (such as coded steps) do not capture a screen shot. It would be useful to be able to add a custom screen shot, such as of an alert box that a coded step is handling.
Please consider adding the UI functionality in Test Studio so users can be able to drill up/down in tests as steps (sub tests) and then go back in the parrent test. Currently when you double click on a test as step, Test Studio opens the test steps, but there is no option to go back in the parent test. The only workaround is to the Project Tab, and then open the parent test. It would be much easier and faster if you have back and forward buttons, or Up and Down.
When I view the report of the results, I can only view the results per test list. I need a way to generate report that combines ALL results from 10+ test list into one report.
Test Studio currently has a compare view that can be found here: http://www.telerik.com/automated-testing-tools/support/documentation/user-guide/performance/compare-view.aspx#1028 We need a way that this report can be generated at the end of a test list run. Either programmatically or otherwise. Currently there is no documented method available.
A customer would like to have the ability to set the connection timeout value for all "Connect to popup window" steps in all tests in his project globally.
When someone wants to use Extracted data to data drive Find Expressions, they have to do the following: Set up a local Data Source Extract the data from the input field Then use the extracted variable in a Data Driven Find Expression to locate the value and verify it. The problem is that a datasource is necessary for datadriven find expression to populate. Without a local or bound datasource, datadriven find expressions aren't available. This means that extraced variables can't be used. -- Request - Allow data driven find expressions to be available without having to bind to a data source. Then find expressions will be able to bind to a variable if a variable is available.
From the Customer: I am trying to locate the parent of the current node using XPath (or any other method). In my example, the leaf node is easily identifiable, but I am trying to locate the parent "td" node - nothing seems to work: .. //.. ../td The main group of the find expression locators locate the leaf node, then I try to add a child group filter and specify the XPath for the parent (//) thinking that the current context will be the node I located above. Unfortunately this doesn’t work. I was able to work around the issue by using the Parent<HtmlTableCell>()method within a coded step
From ticket 846095 Many times I forget to hit the pause button when I start navigating or clicking in a browser with the recorder on. This of course creates a test step in my test without me noticing it until I run my test and get a fail or some undesired result. Having the option to set the default record state could save me time fixing inadvertently recorded test steps.
When an element is added into the element repository, many times the element's find logic is based off of the id of the element. But the Find Logic may be initially set as exact instead of end with for elements that have id like this: ctl00_ctl00_ctl00_ContentPlaceHolderContentBasic_ContentPlaceHolderContent_ContentPlaceHolderContent_windowAddEditWindow_C_controlAddNSP_uiFirstName Everything before this part of the id is likely to change, but the end of the id is less likely to change. "_windowAddEditWindow_C_controlAddNSP_uiFirstName" Please allow a way to customize how the elements that use ID as part of the find logic to exclude the unnecessary part of the id.
It will be good if Test Studio can do relative scrolling to element, like for instance horizontal scroll to a specific column in RadGridView. Currently the scrolling is accomplished by Offset, represented by pixels.
For example, action steps would be one color, verifications and/or waits would be in a different color.
