I have a test list of 40 tests and I would like to view the performance results (test times) as a group instead of having to view them one at a time.

If a test includes an IF ELSE block, the IF ELSE and the steps inside are not included when you use Convert All Steps to Code.

Test Studio should be able to data bind a WPF radio button like the HTML radio button (i.e. true/false).

Currently there is no such an option.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open a project in TFS with no pending changes

2. Schedule a test list

3. Change this test list and save the changes. The project looks dirty.

4. Press Check-in button

5. Press Cancel.

6. Project looks as Checked in, but changes still can be checked in and in VS it is dirty as well.

We're unable to use Test Studio for APIs for an app that uses Windows Authentication. We'd love to see this feature available in the next release.

It will be good if Manager.Current.ActiveBrowser.Frames.RefreshAllDomTrees() to support dynamic frame change and handle the current state.

It will be useful to have the ability to schedule recurring (optionally) test list runs similar to Test Studio Desktop edition.

For performance testing it would be great to have:
1) a timeline like in Fiddler
2) a request comparison like in sql server management studio - SQL Client statistics (see attachment)

Hi,

The Application we are using stopped the support for IE. So I have to switch to chrome to be able to connect to the DOM window of TEST STUDIO. Inorder to connect to the browser, I have to use "Run - To here" option and then connect to the browser. Then I Navigate to the Page where I actually want to do the recording and debugging.

But in IE browser, I have the opened instance already and then I can connect the recorder wherever I want. This is more easier way of recording and debugging and save time.

So, Could you please consider this feedback and add the option for "Attach to chrome" browser. Refer to Screenshots..

Regards,

Nithya A.

It would be nice to have an intellisence while typing JSON path (It can be gotten from metadata).
Also, tests can be generated from metadata as well

Add support for setup / teardown tests that will be executed before/after every test or group of tests. I should be able to add such steps on a particular level - i.e. to be executed before/after every test in a particular suite, or once in the beginning/end of every suite in the project, e.g.

It would be an useful feature if the desktop web tests could be somehow used for mobile web applications. For example, If these could be converted to a mobile web test or used for automatic recording process.

I may have overlooked the feature, but if it doesn't already exist, it would be smooth if during a test Step design we could drap-drop a variable into an input field.
Or maybe if one started typing a variable specification "{{" then the input field would provide an "auto-fill" sort of behavior to choose variables from.

I do use the Copy/Paste option to get variables at current time. Thanks.

Each new POST or PUT request needs manually to input 'application/json' for Content-type. The desktop version of Postman has a good behavior in this regard.
Probably the same behavior would be suitable for the header keys themselves - currently typing only gives one suggestion and opening the drop-down gives every option regardless of the input in the field.

Scenario:Use a simple Login-Logout test that is separated into two different tests, executed as steps (Login test & Logout test = login-logout test) for performance run.

Issue: The current overview functionality will show the execution of the test steps 'login' and all the individual steps from the nested test, then moves onto the 'logout' test and the steps for the second nested test. The times displayed for the 'Test as Step' steps is the client side time, required for the initialization of the nested test.

There are two options for more understandable results - the 'Test as Step' step should either not representing any time, or displaying the summed up time of the nested step execution.
