Hi - I uploaded the Beta. Looks great. I was trying to schedule a test and saw a message sating I needed to set up the scheduling service and storage. Where do I go to do this now?

Sorry. That didn't fix the issue.
I ended up installing it on a different server and it installed ok. I'm seeing some issued with running tests and getting the results to appear, but I can open a separate case for that.
Thanks.

Tekiyu,
I would try uninstalling the beta entirely and reinstalling with the custom options, lets see if that helps. Otherwise, we will need to try and dig deeper (logging from the installer, etc).
Thanks,
Jared

We have some install bugs being worked on. I have forwarded this conversation into the mix. Thanks for the feedback!

Prior to the install, The only Telerik task I see running is the Storage Service.
I tried running as Admin and local admin, and from the command line as admin.
The machine is Windows 7 Enterprise. I'm not sure if that makes a difference, so I figured I'd mention it.

So when you look in the Windows Services console you don't see the Service still there prior to the install? Have you tried running the installer as admin (I know you are an admin, I mean, right click run as administrator).

When I click Customize, and choose the Scheduling service, I get this "Service 'Telerik Scheduling Service' ('Telerik Scheduling Service) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
I had an older version of Telerik that I am updating. I tried uninstalling and then starting over after getting this, but had no luck. I still see the error.

Hmm, as in when you select the option in customize it gives you an error? What is the error message specifically? Do you have a previous version of Test Studio installed on the machine you are testing the beta on? There may be a bug there that is not shutting down the old Scheduling service or properly uninstalling it (since both are installed windows services). Please let me know what you find, so I can get a proper bug filed.
Thanks,
Jared

Jared,
Thanks! I missed that option when upgrading. Doh'!
I'm having an issue now when trying to add the Scheduling option. It's telling me that I don't have privileges to run it. I'm an admin on the machine. The storage option was added without issue. Any ideas?

See:

Basically, if you are doing everything on one machine, you should select to connect your project locally not remotely (in the Connect to Scheduling dialog). It will connect to your running Scheduling and Execution process in the System Tray.
If you are running remotely then you will need to install a scheduling service and storage service on a remote machine. During the beta install customize to select those two options, then be sure to configure the Storage Service (during the install). After the install run 'Configure as Scheduling Service' from the Test Studio Start Menu and point it at your storage service.
Now from Test Studio you should be able to connect your project to the remote scheduling service, and test away.
