Move elevated pieces to a helper service
Is there any opportunity to move the need for running Test Studio as an elevated process to a helper process?

Just to start Test Studio is based over the file system so the user needs permissions to write to disk when creating tests and folder. Due to all the browser extensions, recorder and more there is also need to access and write in the registry, actions impossible for a non-admin user. So in general avoiding the need of admin permissions is nearly impossible for this kind of product. Does that address your question?

I haven't found any explanation about what requires elevation in the docs.  First principles in secure development is to work as a non-admin.  This is changing how we work b/c the default for dev and build accounts is a normal user.

Can you please elaborate on why you need that? Do you hit some problem with the current TS launch?
