At runtime there is no way to easily access values from fields within the same row of a report using the WPF ReportViewer. We have a requirement for our application where users may double-click a field and trigger the applicable editor to appear for quick access. To enable this functionality, we need to retrieve values from within the same row as the field that was clicked. While the TextBlock that was clicked may be accessed, there is no way to easily determine which controls within the control hierarchy belong to the same row as all page content is lumped into one canvas. Searching for values by Name is not possible either as the name is not passed into the generated controls. It is also not possible to create custom IAction implementations to handle this functionality either as they are not supported.
When we have a string parameter, and we set the available values, we would like you to have a extra property to set if we have a blank value in the available list, it seems similar with the allow null properties, but sometimes we don't like the null checkbox, it needs more space and we can not translate it.
Hi there, It would be nice if the vector images included in reports could be preserved when exporting as a PDF. I have some emf images which I use in our reports and when viewing everything is lovely vector, as soon as I export it though the image is converted to a bitmap.
We really need improved default controls in the html5 viewer: - DatePickers that allow null values (e.g. from From, To date ranges in reports) - Dropdown that isn't a list (for when there are large numbers of options e.g. Customer dropdown) - I can't go to page 2 on a mobile - there's no next page, previous page button displayed. - Pinch zoom freezes on mobile (Samsung galaxy s4). See (advertisement) html5 viewer for a nicer zoom controls. in 1 icon that fits on mobile
If I have my project set to point to a solution folder for the reporting DLLs...and I run the upgrade wizard it changes those references to be instead the installation folder for reporting, so then when I try to deploy (copy) a project...it tanks saying it can't find the DLLs... If the reference isn't set to a telerik installation folder please don't change it on me
Like the NeedDataSource, it will be nice if there was a PreRender event or similar. So that way I could programmatically adjust elements based on the report parameters. Example: a column selection parameter (dropdown) that would then in the 'PreRender' remove or hide the columns from a table if the column name isn't in that multivalue parameter.
The only way to retrieve the Month Name is to use a User Function. We have some issues where User Functions cause problems in deployment, when using the Stand-Alone Report Designer. This seems like a basic functionality that's missing.
The attach example Test.html does not work against my service. When monitored in Fiddler I cannot see the parameters being passed on to the call? Not sure what I'm missing this was taken from online API example.
I used trial version of Telerik Designer for SSAS report creations . Database connection is working fine , however when report results were displayed in preview mode , then for each record in query results additional page will be added . I used tables and charts to show results , the results are the same. Is it special feature of trial version or just a program error?
When exporting a report in the format supported by the viewer, allow the user to open in addition to saving. Now they must save and then open and allowing the open option would be more efficient for the view of the report
The standalone designer throws an error, e.g. "Missing operator before", if you make a mistake in the conditionalFormatting expression and close the expression editor. You are then unable to correct the mistake without opening the trdx in a text editor. Please change the behaviour so that the editor can still be opened even if the expression has syntax errors.
Looks like if print in windows service will be has some problem , because print in windows service can't display the print dialog.
When using report templates, the only connection with the original template is when the report is created. This is problematic due to the time it takes, as well as the potential for error and inconsistency. It would be helpful if the report designer included an ability to update a report based on the template. If a minor change needs to be made to a group of reports, now that change has to be done individually in each report. Ideally there should be an option to update the report from the original template. While I understand that detailed content would be problematic to update, things such as styles, report and page headers/footers, etc., could be updated (or 'replaced' with the equivalent content from the template). Ideally there would be an option to update from template, and then the user could select which items to update; - styles - page header/footer -report header/footer
Datasources of tables and expressions are processed even when the item is not visible. This can lead to performance problems. It should be possible to disable certain items to be processed. The most obvious way is that items are not processed, that are not visible anyway.
With the current version of telerik reporting, the default date/time for when the report is run on the bottom left of the report shows up in big bold numbers across the entire report when you print it from excel. The problem is easily fixed by either removing the field or moving it to the top of the report but it is a waste of time and not something i would easily remember to do until after the fact.

For some reason the database didn't load when I installed the reporting demo. neither when I ran a repair install. I'm running MS SQL 2014 on my local workstation. Could you tell me which DB to install to run the demo reports?
