The Telerik Reporting only support fixed size page now. But sometimes we need continues-roll paper mode.(like: receipt paper) Some reporter tools: ActiveReports, it has 3 mode:(Page Reports, RDL Reports, Section Reports) On "Telerik Forums / Reporting Forum" there is already some people asked it before 2 years ago. But until now the basic feature not release....
After R1 2019 Telerik Web Report Viewers use Kendo splitter for resizing Parameters and Document map areas. At this point, there is no way to change the Parameters Areas position.
If the controls and PDF generated from Designer or API from scratch will be 508 compliant? PDF needs to be tagged, so when a reader reads its images have text alternative for it to read.
I'm not a PDF expert, but if something can be done in a free library, a pay'd version of reporting tools should do it also right. In many cases, I do a report to PDF for my clients. Since PDF contains useful data, I't normal to assume, client will use copy-paste and copying data to Word, Browser, etc. Similar approach was used, when I created a project for the General prosecution of SR, but there the PDF was generated by PdfSharp and by writing text-outputs (with esired font, size, etc.). The result was correct. Unfortunatelly with Telerik it's not so. I've tryed to explain it in a ticket, but I only got excuses, explanation about lignatures and so. I got/left myself almost convinced, but my main point is the starting sentence in this description. The original issue: http://www.telerik.com/account/support-tickets/view-ticket.aspx?threadid=893196
With reference to support ticket 992325 where the behaviour of making minute changes to the measurements of grid columns occurs inadvertently I would like to suggest that this is changed and does not happen, i.e. improve the handling of floating point numbers in the serialization/deserialization process. It causes noise in the source control history of the file. Note that this behaviour is not apparent with comparable reporting solutions, e.g. SSRS/RDLC files.
There is the newly introduced WebServiceDataSource which enables me to get JSON data from a web service. I'd like to be able to use JSON as a data source for a report without using a web service. For example, the JSON might be embedded inside the report definition, or it might be coming from an external text file (URI or URL), or even pass it programmatically to the report at run-time.
It would be nice to have a report viewer component that does not rely on the full .net framework as described here. https://docs.telerik.com/reporting/html5-report-viewer-asp-net-core-2. I have a project that is not built against the full framework and would like to integrate reporting without converting all of my projects.
Support generating reports on .NET Core running on a non-Windows platform, esp. macOS or Linux-like OS.
Please add full support for asp.net Core. What you currently have is not nearly complete. We need to be able to use the report designer and add reports in a .net core project and we need to be able to use reports that have objectdatasources. Currently object datasource does not work with .net core dll's.
Need to support installing and running reporting server restful API from within linux.
