I reported this behavior earlier in a support ticket over two years ago but since it has not been addressed, I would try this approach. If an AreaSeries has the LineType set to LineTypes.Smooth, the graph series may become misleading or incorrect. Consider the attached screenshot (withoutsettings.png) showing a simple 10 point chart. Looking at the chart, you would assume that between 11:06 and 11:07, the response time was below 0. However the test values indicate that the values never were below 0. This makes the chart misleading and incorrect. It then makes the chart unreliable to the end user, thus unusable. The quick workaround is to set the LineType=straight but since you support a smooth linetype, it should be correct. Another, more serious, instance in the chart where (using smooth LineType) is where the series line will cross the x axis point (a timeline chart) more than 1 time which is actually a timeline chart violation. Please consider adding an RTF Text Box control to your report toolbar. Crystal reports has this ability which we've used on many of our reports. Currently the only work around for changing the RTF data to something that Telerik Reports will print cleanly, is to create a user defined custom function.
It would be very useful to have the option of changing Sort and Toggle Visibility icons for example to a vector image. Default png is not looking good when the report is scaled or in specific styles. Attached an example.
Currently there is no way to implement a table with html. It is pretty clear from the 1 ticket already open that this is not going to be done as it has been open for ~4 years at this point. Due to implementation challenge of the task, I suggest allowing for a HtmlTextBox to take the place of a TextBox in the table object. This will allow for better conditional formatting in a table, without having to implement the entire table function of Html.
The documentation is syntax prone to errors and does not follow well for new developers. The example code shown usually shows one step, please elaborate and show examples in depth for each topic. I have noticed in the forums that people have been complaining about errors in the documentation for more that two years and its still not fixed. I also see a lot of references to code that is shown in documentation that is obsolete or not yet implemented. The video series posted in the last few months (Q1 2015) are videos from 2009. Why?

Add Telerik Windows Form Report Viewer configuration option to use Image rendering based on a Bitmap instead of a Metafile. This will enable the hosting of Telerik Reporting REST Service in Azure AppServices for Windows Forms Report Viewer usage.
Hello, RadPdfProcessing supports PDF/A 1-3 since Q1/2015. It would be nice if the Report engine would also support PDF/A exports. PDF/A will bevome the future european standard for invoicing (ZUGFeRD) and is the current standard for long time archival of digital documents. Regards, Chris
Please provide an option to launch a sub report directly from within the main report designer (standalone version). Example, in Crystal reports, if there is a sub report within a report, a user can double click that sub report and it opens it as a new report tab. This is very convenient rather then having to chase down the path to the subreport and open it manually.
A Reporting engine should expose the ability to control the layout of the table of contents\Document Map. Reports are not always data driven and should give the ability to display the contents of the report at different levels, much like Microsoft Word does with their table of contents.
In the standalone designer, it would be helpful if you could drag and drop the column headers to reorder. At present you have to add a new column and delete the old one, remembering to copy all properties.
For our Customers a major drawback to creating form type reports (Invoices, Purchase Orders etc.) using Telerik Reporting is the inability to show vertical dividing lines between data columns in the 'Detail' section of the report that extend all the way down the page to the Page/Report footer. We were able to do this with Crystal Reports. But we plan to migrate all our Crystal reports to Telerik.
Currently, the Graph item ignores missing data points and always connects data points which have values. According to the "Displaying Missing Values and Incomplete Periods in Time Series" paper (https://www.perceptualedge.com/articles/visual_business_intelligence/missing_values_and_incomplete_periods_in_time_series.pdf) this approach of ignoring missing values is not recommended. The preferred approach (with gaps for missing values) is described in detail in the paper.
This will be useful when small changes should be applied to a report based on the current rendering format. For example the following expression will be possible: = "Is the document PDF: " + RenderingExtension = "PDF"
Currently, the WebSeviceDataSource is making separate request whenever data is required, consider adding a caching mechanism to reduce the number of the web requests.
Please make the text boxes in the report actually resize and grow to the correct height. There is a catastrophic bug currently which causes the text box to stay at a single line and will not show the entire paragraph of text. This can happen 5% of the time leading to a very unreliable framework which cannot be used in a production environment.
