As in Ticket with ID 1440072 requested we are looking for a funktionallity to send Reports via E-Mails with the WPF ReportViewer. As only the HTML-5 ReportViewer currently supports the E-Mail sending we would request the feature for WPF as well.

Best Regards,

Martin

in our solution, we store the trdx reports designed with Standalone Designer as xml strings in our database,
and render them to pdf in the background services by using  Telerik.Reporting.XmlSerialization.ReportXmlSerializer.Deserialize

the new web based designer would be a good addon to integrate report design directly into the appliciation.

but the current preview version of webreportdesigner needs to be configured with a FileStorage.
it is possible to override the GetReport and SaveReport functions in a custom ReportDesignerController and load the report from a string (db in our case),

but since the ReportJsonSerializer is an iternal class, it is not possible to create a json response and send it to the webeditor.

so it would be helpfull, either to make the ReportJsonSerializer a public class so it can be used to convert the report manally to json, or extend the

whole thing to load the reports from strings directly.

The print functionality cannot be used in Google Chrome 77.0.3865.75 (lastest update).  The following error is displayed in the console of the browser: Resource interpreted as Document but transferred with MIME type application/pdf.

As an alternative, you can use other web browsers for printing.

When exporting a report to PDF on Linux the document looks correct. If you try to copy text from this PDF and paste it in a text editor, the text appears as random symbols, e.g. empty squares.

If a user desires to send a report by email, the recipient will receive the message from a generic email and if the recipient wants to respond, the response will go to a mailbox that is not monitored. On the other hand, if we use the "From" field and we try to do a "legal spoofing," some email servers will send our messages to spam or simply block them. It could be great to have an option to ask users their email password in the moment when they click on the button to send a report via email. In this way we can send the information in the field "From" and the password entered to the SMTP server.

We are using a background image in our report. We noticed that on the Mac, the graphs were rendering very small when exporting to PowerPoint.

I found this thread that said to set the ‘UseMetafile’ rendering device setting to False. After doing so, it fixed the graph issue but then broke the background image, for both Windows and Mac PowerPoint. The background image is now very small.

In version 13.2.19.918 the executable of the Standalone designer Telerik.ReportDesigner.x86.exe runs in 64bit instead of 32bit mode.

Go to page https://demos.telerik.com/reporting/product-catalog?&skinName=default

Open Search dialog.

Type "Accessories" in search field. Wait for results.

Pick last result (Accessories - page 2) from results list. (page 2 will be opened - correct)

Close search dialog and open it again (or just clear search field).

Type "Accessories" in search field again. Wait for results.

Pick last result (Accessories - page 2) from results list again.

Incorrect behavior: page 1 will be opened instead of page 2; and first result item will be highlighted as selected instead of last result item.

Also I met situation when long results list was scrolled up to top but it was unclear how to reproduce it stable.

We currently allow our users to save Telerik Reports parameter values so they can be scheduled for delivery or run later without the need to enter all the parameter values.

In some instances, some of the saved parameter values are not available at run time. This currently results in the parameter value to be set to Null.

For example, we have a Customer parameter that lists all existing customers and the user selects a few customers from the list and saves the report for later user. One of the saved customer is then deleted from the database. Now when the saved report is run and all the saved customer ids are passed including the customer id that is deleted from the database the Customer parameter is set to Null.

Can non-existing report parameter values be ignored and the parameter be populated with the values that do match?

Hello,
Until now we have always passed on the Telerik Report Designer to the customer without any problems. Now the customer gets the message that this is a trial version. How do we have to pass on the Telerik Report Designer so that this hint disappears? Many thanks.

When I set the column width to a larger size with Bindings the table column width increases correctly.
The problem is when I am trying to decrease the column width. The column maintains the size defined in the designer.

The Hebrew text is displayed correctly in the Report Designer, the text flowing from right to left. In PDF format though the text is reversed. In Docx, the text is exported correctly.

The Preview button when the parameters are visible appears in the top left corner of the parameters area and overlaps with the parameter editors.

If the target Html element for the Html5 Viewer (e.g. <div>) does not have an ID and is selected, for example, with a CSS class, the viewer will not display the report even if the Html5 Viewer widget has its Id option set.
