Hello,

It would be nice to control the report loading animation during a report viewer refresh. We are refreshing a report every x seconds and it appears to be flickering during a refresh.

Thank you.

If a table-based item (Table, List, Crosstab) does not fit in a single page and needs to occupy more than one page, its bottom border is not drawn on the first page and its top border is not drawn on the second (subsequent) page. This behavior is by design and its purpose is to help the users visually distinguish the table as a single item. The table has only one top and bottom border and they are displayed at the beginning and at the end of the table, regardless how many pages the table actually occupies.

Since users might find this confusing, a table should have a property controlling this behavior. The default state of the property will preserve the current rendering. If the user explicitly sets the property, then the table will draw its top and bottom borders on every page it occupies.

As in Ticket with ID 1440072 requested we are looking for a funktionallity to send Reports via E-Mails with the WPF ReportViewer. As only the HTML-5 ReportViewer currently supports the E-Mail sending we would request the feature for WPF as well.

Best Regards,

Martin

If a user desires to send a report by email, the recipient will receive the message from a generic email and if the recipient wants to respond, the response will go to a mailbox that is not monitored. On the other hand, if we use the "From" field and we try to do a "legal spoofing," some email servers will send our messages to spam or simply block them. It could be great to have an option to ask users their email password in the moment when they click on the button to send a report via email. In this way we can send the information in the field "From" and the password entered to the SMTP server.

in our solution, we store the trdx reports designed with Standalone Designer as xml strings in our database,
and render them to pdf in the background services by using  Telerik.Reporting.XmlSerialization.ReportXmlSerializer.Deserialize

the new web based designer would be a good addon to integrate report design directly into the appliciation.

but the current preview version of webreportdesigner needs to be configured with a FileStorage.
it is possible to override the GetReport and SaveReport functions in a custom ReportDesignerController and load the report from a string (db in our case),

but since the ReportJsonSerializer is an iternal class, it is not possible to create a json response and send it to the webeditor.

so it would be helpfull, either to make the ReportJsonSerializer a public class so it can be used to convert the report manally to json, or extend the

whole thing to load the reports from strings directly.

Please, add functionality that allows the user to print the Grouping value on each page if its content does not fit on one page.

Please develop an html5 / Angular JavaScript ReportViewer that works with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).  You would sell TONS of it!

YES, I'm aware you have a ReportViewer that works with your server reporting solution.  but your reporting solution does not scale.  Furthermore, we have TONS of SSRS reports we don't want to re-write.  It would be way too expensive!  Thanks for your consideration.

Hi,

Most design programs allow the user to select and object and "nudge" (move) up, down, right, left in very small increments.

I miss this feature in the report designers.  Always have to use the mouse is not the best experience in tight places.

Please add this capability.

Some programs also have variations of the feature base on the if the user presses CTRL+ {ARROW} or SHIFT + {ARROW}

Thank you,

Karl

StyleRule Collection Editor Members list NEEDS to be resizable.

PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED IMAGE

It's frustrating to have to scroll a Listbox horizontally to read the values.

This control should be wider by default, and then allow the user to resize, and then REMEMBER their resize.

Thank you,

Karl

Hi,

It gets frustrating always resizing every dialog so I can use it, each time I open them.

Please give the Report Designer Dialogs, and Visual Studio dialogs a save size setting so when reopened they will go back to the same size.

Thank you,

Karl

Hi,

The standalone report designer needs config settings for

  • Default Font Name
  • Default Font Size
  • Default Font Color
  • Default Page Settings
    • Margins
    • Unit of Measure
  • Snap To Grid

I find that I have to set each of these for every report.

Please add these,

Karl

Hi,

It's very frustrating having to type in Style Names in the Properties tool window.

All styles names both internal and external should be known by the standalone designer or Visual Studio designer.

This would be a big productivity boost.

Please put the tool windows in a Docking system, like Teleriks.  Forcing the property window to be pinned to the right side is a UI/UX issue. Studies have shown that placing it on the left, makes it easy to use since the object your assign property value is very close and the distance the mouse must be moved it greatly shortened.

For the font's using the Windows DPI settings is not enough and won't cover use cases.  I always run my system at 100% Font Size and then adjust each application individually as required.

If you use the Windows font settings, users will have problems.

If you select a node in the Document Map tree, go to the corresponding reporting item and then scroll away from this position in the Report, the selected Document Map node will remain unchanged and will not correspond to the actually displayed Report item. Moreover, if you would like to return to the Report item selected in the Document Map tree, you will have to select another node and then re-select the desired one.

The image box should allow selecting how the image should be aligned within the box.

Ie, if I select ScalePorportional, it will always center the image either vertically or horizontally. I should be able to further align it to the one or two of the sides of the box. This would allow say the upper left corner of the image to always be locked in place.

It will be useful to have a function that can be used to keep the client session alive, for example by calling this function periodically to make requests to the service and thus to prevent the session from expiring.

Please add to the Telerik reporting step line chart the same functionality that exists in the kendo ui step line chart.   There is an attribute for justified = true that allows the line to step directly to the marker rather than having them placed in the middle of the step.  Please see the attached images for the current result vs the desired result.
