I created a solution using KendoReact Editor.
The editor is set to enable the creation of tables (EditorTools.InsertTable).
When the property 'defaultEditMode' is set to 'iframe', the editor inserts a correct table with a width of 100% and visible cell borders.
If I set the 'defaultEditMode' to 'div' and insert a table the table has a width of some pixels and no borders are shown. In other words, the inserted table is not usable.
I need to set the editMode to 'div' because otherwise the editor doesn't adjust its look to the other parts of the page. The font is wrong etc.
How can I get the tables to work in 'div' mode?
as we are building apps for SharePoint and Office we are in need of a theme that looks like Office 365. Kendo UI for jQuery has that but there's a big shift towards building those apps with Typescript and React. Unfortunately the Kendo UI React package doesn't provide an Office 365 theme so everything we build doesn't integrate well to the look and feel of SharePoint and Office.
It would be great if you were able to migrate that theme over from jQuery to the React components.
Thanks and kind regards
I would like to request the support of the search panel within the grid component same as in ASP.NET Core UI (https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-core/grid/search-panel)
Please create a React Scheduler component similar to https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/scheduler/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx
in 0.3.0 release I was able to describe a column by percentages. i.e. <Column field="certification" title="Certification" width="40%" /> This no longer works in the 1.0.1 release
Please add SignalR support for grid and other controls similar to Kendo UI for jQuery.
i am using KendoReact Drawdom version 1.5.12
I have some input elements for uploading images, and showing the a preview of uploaded image.
I want to export a PDF version of the form, but drawDom.cloneNodes() throws an exception when handling input elements of type file. that is because these type of input elements can not have value attribute.
On your Grid Demos: When ever you try to edit a text cell the cursor always goes to the end of the text box
For example, go to your demo:
- Edit the first row. Try to type something before "Chai" - the cursor will jump to the end of the textbox
As in the JQuery version, it would be good to have the option of showing the total of a column's values without having to use grouping aggregates. For example i have 10 products with their prices and i would like to see their total cost in a row below the column, without having to use grouping which adds more elements to the Grid.
Currently the GridFilterCell OnChange returns a subset of a FilterDescriptor (A value an an Operator to run on the value), which allows a custom filter cell to create one filter rule (FilterDescriptor). However, the CompositeFilterDescriptor structure allows a lot more flexibility. `month == 'January' OR 'March' OR 'May'`. If the GridFilterCell could be passed a CompositeFilterDescriptor instead of the current subset, then a custom filter cell could be much more powerful.
In an orders grid for instance, with a status of Pending, Paid, Shipped, and Delivered a "Show/Hide Shipped" button would exclude or include the Shipped and Delivered orders when clicked. Or a list of checkboxes to choose the statuses you want to see (like the JQuery Grids support).
TL;DR: There is currently no way to re-implement multi-checkboxes or other complex filtering interfaces with the Kendo React Grid without re-implementing all of the filtering logic manually from scratch, as the Existing filter cells don't support this and a custom GridFilterCell can't be configured to return that logic in a single FilterDescriptor.
KendoReact Editor not working in NextJS application.
This is the error:
ReferenceError: navigator is not defined.
The error can be reproduced in our NextJS application as well when adding the Editor component.
The error may occur due to this line:
const firefox = /Firefox/.test(navigator.userAgent);
In Panelbar , when we set expandmode set to 'single' it do not toggle the item . it only works with expandmode 'multiple'. We should also allow to toggle a panelbar item in 'single' mode a use case could be -i want to close all of the items in single mode
Hello again Kendo React Team,
Our team recently started using the Kendo React DateTimePicker and noticed that if the user clicks "Today" followed by "Now" the drop down does not automatically go away. The DatePicker and TimePicker both have this desired action of closing the drop down when selecting. Would it be possible to add this functionality to the DateTimePicker?
I need to not restrain the window, in the element that was contained in the code.
this feature is a must.
Otherwise, I am being forced to keep my Window on the "top level" element, just so that I can have it not be constrained in the nested element...
The problem with this, is that the Window looks totally out of place, if I need more windows, I will need them all there and it's logic is not clear. The are many issues with that approach...
Please provide a temporary workaround if possible, thanks!
