Hi,

When using the dropdown tree on safari using the bootstrap themes when the page has scrollbars and clicking on the dropdown the page scrolls up, even though there is available space:

Please see this Dojo which replicates the issue:

https://runner.telerik.io/fullscreen/uwoBEKiT/2

Open the above URL in Safari, chick on the dropddown and the page scrolls up and the dropdown is no longer visible.

When using the Filter control and configuring the Fields, if a 'number' type field is used, the value 0 (zero) is ignored, for example:

$("#filter").kendoFilter({
    dataSource: dataSource,
    expressionPreview: true,
    fields: [
      { name: "age", type:"number", defaultValue: 31 },
      {name: "foo", type: "number", defaultValue: 0},
      { name: "name", type:"string", defaultValue: "Rick" }
    ]
  });

'age' and 'foo' are both 'number' type fields, but the default value of 'foo' will be ignored when the filter is chosen in the UI.

Here is a runnable example of this, notice how when selecting 'age' from the fields dropdown, the value correctly defaults to 31, but selecting the 'foo' field will not have the value populate correctly:

Dear Sir / Madam,

At grid PDF export, in case of allPages: false --> Actual rows are rendered to multiple pages properly, but all pages are written on the first page.

It works well, if I set "options.pdf.multiPage" to "true", but it is not in API reference.

A solution might be if this variable is fixed to true in grid prototype "saveAsPDF" function:
          "options.multiPage = true;" instead of "options.multiPage = options.multiPage || options.allPages;"

Please see this example: https://dojo.telerik.com/usUnUziL/2

Step 1: press "Export to PDF" --> Result: wrong pdf

Step 2: press "Set multiPage: true"

Step 3: press "Export to PDF" --> Result: good pdf

Best Regards,

Szabolcs Tóth

When the Kendo UI Treelist is horizontally scrollable and a filter is applied which returns no items, the scrollbar disappears. Therefore, if the column is one of the hidden ones, it would be impossible to navigate to it in order to clear the filter.

A Dojo sample for the reproduction of the issue:

Bug report

ComboBox and MultiColumnComboBox

Reproduction of the problem

Dojo example. Open the browser console and follow the steps below:

  1. Select an item
  2. The "select" event fires and, as expected, e.item and e.dataItem contain info about the selected item.
  3. Press Backspace key to delete a character from the text in the input
  4. Blur the widget
  5. "select" fires: e.item and e.dataItem do not return data (expected)
  6. Focus the widget and delete another character.
  7. Blur the widget

Current behavior

After 7. e.item and e.dataItem contain data about an old selection - the item selected in 1.

Expected/desired behavior

e.item and e.dataItem should not contain data, because a custom value is set in the ComboBox and no item in the dataSource is selected.

Environment

the Kendo grid does't accept cell value changes when using android mobile phone with the Chrome browser. You can test it on the telerik demo https:demos.telerik.com/aspnet-mvc/grid/editing.

for example change the value of the Unit Price and go to the other cell. you will see that the value will become the original value.

just by touching some where outside the border of the grid the value will change.

I have a scrollable div within kendo Window.

The said div contains selectable thumbnail, it will show a bigger version if clicked (functionality not included in the attached file)

The problem when there will be hundreds to thousands of images the scrolling in IE11 becomes almost unresponsive.

Attached sample have around a 1000.

Tested it with bootstrap modal, did not have any issue with scrolling in IE11.

Issue does not happen in other browsers, is this an issue with repaint and scroll in IE?

Hiding the first column in Grid will show a 2 pixels left border instead one.

Dojo Sample to replicate the issue: https://dojo.telerik.com/ubaLiYEN

Steps:

1. Hide the first column (OrderID) from the Column Menu.

2. Notice the doubled left-border on the left hand side of the Grid.

Hello!

Firstly, in the keyboard navigation demo for the MultiSelect widget (https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/multiselect/keyboard-navigation) the follwing two keyboard shortcuts are documented:

  • SHIFT + UP-ARROW: select previous item
  • SHIFT + DOWN-ARROW: select next item

In the following scenario, these shortcuts cause some strange behaviour:

  • select two consecutive items with SHIFT+DOWN-ARROW (e.g. "Small" and "Medium")
  • use the arrow keys to move the focus further down (e.g. to "X-Large")
  • press SHIFT+DOWN-ARROW again

I would expect "X-Large" and "2X-Large" to be selected in addition to the already selected items "Small" and "Medium". Instead, "Large" is selected as well. Is this behaviour intended?

Secondly, every time the user clicks and selects an entry of the MultiSelect popup, the popup is closed. Is there a way to prevent that closing. Or is there a way of selecting without triggering a close event (like pressing CTRL etc.)?

Thank You!

We have a project where we need the infinite scroll, column sorting/filtering, and remote data enabled.  We are having some issues with sort and filter.  For quick reference, I used the grid demo and changed it to reflect our configuration.  The problem is the grid fires the read command twice when we have loaded more than one page of data. No issues when we have only loaded the first page.

https://dojo.telerik.com/UDoREFID

To reproduce:

1.  Open Chrome

2.  Load the page

3. Hit run

4. Open Developer Tool

5. Switch to the Network tab and filter by XHR only

7. Click ProductName to sort. There is only one AJAX call.

8. Scroll to the bottom so it loads the next page. It made two AJAX calls

Taken from the StackOverflow question 'Why does 'show' event on Kendo View fire twice?' https://stackoverflow.com/questions/56266538/why-does-show-event-on-kendo-view-fire-twice

If a Kendo View is rendered into a Layout (using layout.showIn()), the show event for the view fires twice. Interestingly, if the view is rendered directly into a DOM element (using view.render()) the event is only fired once, like it's supposed to.

The code is pretty well copied from the Kendo UI Dojo thingee. I wonder if can you run this :https://dojo.telerik.com/AkOwiMAZ/2

<div id="app"></div>
<script>
var foo = new kendo.View("<span>Foo</span>", { hide: function() { console.log("Foo is hidden now"); }, show: function() { console.log( "Foo is shown now"); }});

var layout = new kendo.Layout("<header>Header</header><section id='content'></section><footer></footer>");

// Creating the layout, and using the showIn method to render the view
// is where I'm having the issue (2 'show' events fire)
layout.render($("#app"));
layout.showIn("#content", foo);
//
// But this way works fine (rendering directly to a DOM element) (just // one 'show' event fires)
//foo.render('#app');
</script>
The OP's dojo sample is set to run against the latest version of kendo; when running against the previous 2019 R1 SP1 (2019.1.220) the sample behaves as expected hence this appears to be a bug introduced in release 2019 R2 (2019.2.514)
