Bug report
When submitting a selection in the ComboBox via Enter keypress an incorrect item is selected.

Reproduction of the problem
Run this dojo
Enter 199 in the input field and:
Click outside of the input field - text() returns 199, value() returns 199
Hit Tab key - text() returns 199, value() returns 199
Hit Enter key - text() returns 4, value() returns 199
With Kendo UI versions after 2018.2.516 pressing the Tab key outputs the same result as pressing the Enter key.

Current behavior
An incorrect item from dataSource is being selected on Enter keypress.

Expected/desired behavior
Selection modes should return same item.

  • Create a WYSIWG Editor
  • Add a Table with 2 rows and 2 columns
  • Select multiple cells by clicking on the first cell and then dragging to the right[Firefox_TableWizard_CellStyling_selection.png]
  • Click on the table wizard icon to open the table wizard
  • Select the Cell tab
  • Change the Background Color to something like red
  • Press the Ok Button
  • Now the first cell has a red background color and 2 columns are added after the first cell[Firefox_TableWizard_CellStyling_afterCellStyling.png]

Issue is only present in Firefox, Chrome does not allow selecting multiple cells.

The editor used for this was from the Demo Page:

Hi,

I have a DropDownTree with checkboxes, like so:

                    $("#cbxWorkZones").kendoDropDownTree({
                        placeholder: "Select Work Zones...",
                        dataTextField: "name",
                        dataValueField: "id",
                        valuePrimitive: true,
                        checkboxes: true,
                        checkAll: true,
                        autoClose: false,
                        autoBind: false,
                        dataSource: data.workZones
                    });

I get an instance of it like so:

    var wz = $('#cbxWorkZones').data("kendoDropDownTree");

I evaluate value and get this: []  meaning, there are no values selected.

Then I set its value like so:

    wz.value(["8", "6"]);

After setting the values, I evaluate value again, and I get this: [8,6,8,6]

Why are the values duplicated?

Thanks!

Juan

Bug report

Currently the result of PDFViewer printing is affected by PDFViewer scale option. When scale is less than 200%, the letters in the printed PDF appear blurred.

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Go to https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/pdfviewer/index
  2. Set scale option to 100%
  3. Print to PDF using "Microsoft Print to PDF" printer. (The final result is the same compared to actual printing to a physical printer)
  4. For consistency set the following print options, e.g. in Chrome:
  • Paper size: A4
  • Pages per sheet: 1
  • Margins: None
  • Scale: Default

Current behavior

Text in printed PDF file is blurred

400% to 100%

Expected/desired behavior

Text in printed PDF file is clear.
NOTE: Clear text may be achieved if PDFViewer scale option is set to 400% on the demo before printing.

Environment

Dear Concerned,

1. Launch https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/spreadsheet/index

2. Select Column B11, click wrap text from Home toolbar.

3. Start typing in B11 & see cell editor keeps growing and goes beyond screen.

4. This is not user friendly, it should be same as Excel

5. Any alternative or quick fix would be appreciable

Bug report
When the text of a drawer item contains multiple words, the hidden class is not removed.

Reproduction of the problem
Open and run this dojo
Notice the second item text is "My Notifications".
Click on the second item
Drawer content is not displayed

Current behavior
On click of an item with multiple words, the drawer content is not displayed

Expected/desired behavior
On click of an item with multiple words, the drawer content should be displayed.
A possible solution could be the removal of spaces:
e.sender.drawerContainer.find("#drawer-content").find("#" + e.item.find(".k-item-text").text().replace(" ","")).removeClass("hidden");

I am using a DropDownList with dynamic items that are grouped.

When opening the dropdown without items in the datasource the fixed group header is displayed empty.

When removing the last item from the datasource after the DropDown has already been opened, the first group header is still displayed when opening the dropdown.

I would expect the group header to never be displayed if there is no data.

Following example @ https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/knowledge-base/grid-sort-displayed-columns-menu-items sorts a column menu. When hide column is then clicked, the wrong column is hidden.

This can be seen in your own dojo example linked in the above doc and @ https://dojo.telerik.com/UWuxOseV . Hiding column Ship Name hides Ship Address instead.

This seems to have been introduced in 2019 R2 SP1 version.

The problem is easily reproduced using the widget demo page https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/dropdowntree/index

Simply switch to the High Contrast theme; the k-widget element is lacking the border-radius style hence looks different to the other widgets.

It looks like the k-dropdowntree class is missing from the following style rule:

.k-autocomplete, .k-block, .k-calendar-container, .k-colorpicker, .k-combobox, .k-datepicker, .k-datetimepicker, .k-drag-clue, .k-dropdown, .k-dropdown-wrap, .k-editor-inline, .k-grid .k-filter-options, .k-grouping-header .k-group-indicator, .k-inline-block, .k-list-container, .k-multiselect, .k-notification, .k-numeric-wrap, .k-numerictextbox, .k-picker-wrap, .k-slider-selection, .k-slider-track, .k-split-button, .k-textbox, .k-tile, .k-timepicker, .k-tooltip, .k-touch-scrollbar, .k-treeview .k-in, .k-upload, .k-window, .k-window-action, .k-window-titleless .k-window-content {
    border-radius: 13px
}

Describe the bug
In IE11 on resizing horizontally the browser window, the text of the ToolBar's tools overlaps.

To reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open: dojo example in IE11.
  2. Resize the browser window making it narrower.

The tools size is not properly calculated and text overlapping can be observed (see the screenshot linked below). Overflow hidden is not set to the button tool and the k-input elements are resized on resizing the browser window.

The following CSS rule can be used as a workaround:

.k-toolbar .k-button,
.k-toolbar .k-input {
  overflow: hidden;
  flex: 0 0 auto;
}

Expected behavior
The ToolBar tools should properly resize on browser window resize. No text overlapping should occur.

Hi,

We are using the Kendo Multi Select widget, and it was just reported that you can't remove a tag from the list when clicking on the Close (X) icon when using Safari on iPadOS 13.1.3. I was also able to reproduce this on the multiselect demo here - https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/multiselect/index. We are currently on version 2019.2.619, however I also tried it on the latest with the demo and it also didn't seem to work.

Is this a known defect?

Thanks,

Emily

I have attached a simplified version of my app that reproduces the issue of infinite valueMapper requests.

Reproduction steps:

  1. Open the example htm file
  2. Open the browsers dev tools to the network tab and clear any request that have been logged.
  3. Click "Add New Load Stop." Result: A row will added to the list view that contains a combo box and one request to the Orders endpoint will be made.
  4. Set a value for the combo box that was added. Result: No additional request will be made if selecting from first few items in the list.
  5. Click "Add New Load Stop." Result: A second row will be added to the list view that also contains a combo box, a query to the Orders endpoint will be made, and an infinite number of requests will be made to the ValuMapper endpoint.

This is reproducible in both Edge and Chrome browsers.

Thank you for your help,

Luke

I am using kendo spreadsheet binding to a datasource... very similar to the demo: https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/spreadsheet/datasource

Is there a way to add a two row header while binding to a data source?  For example, my first row would be a merged cell spanning all columns and would contain some text.  I can see how to do two row headers and to merge cells.. but it doesn't work when the spreadsheet is bound to a datasource as it starts the data in row 2.... where I want row 2 to be my actual field name headers.  I don't see any options to fix that.

If there is no way to do that... is there a way to alter my header style?  For example, I want a column header to be

MY FIELD NAME HERE
additional text (smaller font and color)

I know in kendo grid there is headerTemplate... but this doesn't seem to be available in kendo spreadsheet.

Thank you.

When attempting to use the filter function on a TreeListDataSource, the linked TreeList control reports that are no records to display regardless of what filter is entered.  This includes attempts to clear/reset the filters using an empty object/null and behaves the same regardless of whether serverFiltering is enabled.

The TreeListDataSource object contains the expected records.
