Hi,

You prob. already know this, but in Chrome attribute autocomplete should be "disabled" instead of "off" for e.g. combobox - then we don't get the auto fill.

Even thought it has no id nor name - I think it looks at the lavbel - in my case its "Name" and the combobox get a big Chrome auto fill from the address book. Setting it from "off" to "disabled" will disable both auto complete AND auto fill.

The same goes for the AJAX Combobox - will you notify that team too? Current hotfix for that is `$(".rcbInput").attr("autocomplete", "disabled");`

Thanks

/Anders

Enhancement

Excel files generated by Kendo Excel Export cannot be imported by the MS ODBC Driver. The error reported in this forum thread is: External table is not in expected format.

Current behaviour

If the file is opened and resaved with Excel or if the styles.xml file is replaced with any styles.xml generated by MS Excel, the error does not occur. When compared the styles.xml of Excel does not contain a numberFormat, no other obvious major differences at first glance:

E.g.:

<numFmts count="2">
<numFmt formatCode="#" numFmtId="165" />
<numFmt formatCode="#" numFmtId="166" />
</numFmts>

Expected/desired behavior

If possible, modify the styles.xml template to enable seamless use with OleDB

    Release R1 2020
    When you place a <label> inside the template of a panelbar, and click on that label, the select event fires twice instead of the expected once.

    Note: works as expected on collapsible items, only items without children exhibit the problem.

    Reproduction of the problem
    reproducible: https://dojo.telerik.com/OXazIKUq

    Expected/desired behavior
    the event keeps firing only once as if you clicked on any place in the item outside of the label.

    Potential workaround: https://dojo.telerik.com/@bratanov/otIVuNag

    Hi Kendo support team,

    I found a bug (or at least an undesired behavior) in the Kendo Multiselect widget.

    After initialization the options in the existing select seem to be rebuilt receiving the content as value attribute if it did not exist before.
    During this process potentially existing double spaces are replaced with single spaces (see attached image).

    If the options of that select are replaced later, they will keep double spaces.

    We use the selected values to receive content from the database, which in these cases is not possible anymore.
    Since the content of the database is created by our client, we can't guarantee there might not be any double spaces.

    In general I think that the content of the existing options should not be modified in any way.

    Thanks,
    Markus

    See dojo at https://dojo.telerik.com/@GaloisGirl/akAlaDIP .

    The first DateTimePicker is set as readonly and has also aria-readonly manually set to true. It is correctly read by my screen reader (NVDA).

    The second DateTimePicker is only set as readonly. It is read by the screen reader editable. It is not marked as readonly in the accessibility tree (per Firefox Developer Edition 71).

    I can't find a formal specification, but this page says an input with ARIA role="combobox" needs to have "aria-readonly" set in addition to "readonly".

    I'm documenting this for the DateTimePicker , but the same problem occurs for ComboBox ( https://dojo.telerik.com/@GaloisGirl/egeLOxIt ) and possibly other widgets that use the ARIA role combobox.

    When using the grid in navigatable mode, cells are correctly described, as seen in line 6014 of kendo.grid.js:

    if (navigatable) {
       rowTemplate += ' aria-describedby=\'' + column.headerAttributes.id + '\'';
    }

    This simple, yet essential functionality is missing in TreeList.

    Hi team,

    In kendo spreadsheet if you disable any row by adding enable property to false and apply sort from data tab, then the disable row is changing based on the sort. instead of applying to particular row  it is applying to perticular range and while sorting the row items are changing. The cell properties are not applying there while sorting.

    link for example: https://dojo.telerik.com/IkoJeMIz

    please let me know if I am doing anything wrong here.

    thanks.

    after downloading

    @progress/kendo-ui version 2019.1.115 the default create table feature is not working. It is not working on multiple browsers even here: https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/editor/all-tools

    the table wizard works but not the cell selection way. Is there a fix for this soon?

    Bug report

    Reproduction of the problem

    Dojo example.

    1. Drag the page splitter to resize the screen and see the Grid's pager correctly switch between the different responsive styles (expected)
    2. Click the "Open Modal" button, which opens a Kendo Window with another Grid in it
    3. Drag the page splitter and/or resizing the Window to see each of the Grid's paging styles changing accordingly (expected)
    4. Close the Window (destroy is called in the deactivate event handler)
    5. Try again to drag the page splitter to resize the screen. This time, the Grid's pager is no longer responsive

    Current behavior

    Responsiveness of the pager of a Grid declared outside the Window is affected by the Window's destroy method.

    Expected/desired behavior

    Calling the destroy method has no unexpected effect on components that are not nested in the Window.

    Hi,

    I'm not sure this will be a bug in your mind but I just wanted to make sure I understood how things work. We have a grid definition which includes the dataSource.schema.model definition. One of the fields (TradeDate) in the schema has a type = "date". In addition, we assign local json data to the "data" property of the dataSource. Our JSON data comes in with dates in the ISO format (a string with the "T" in it). When the grid is initially created everything works fine. We notice that the TradeDate field in the dataSource.data() is converted to an actual javascript date. I assume this is happening because of the schema definition. Later we retrieve new data via an ajax call and apply it to the grid using the grid.dataSource.data(newJson) command. However this does not seem to process the TradeDate field and convert it into a real javascript date. This causes problems because we have filters applied based on the TradeDate. It works fine the first time but fails any time the data is refreshed (because the field value is a string). We tried the schema.parse function but that also is only called the first time. Ultimately we coded the grids "dataBound" event and everything worked. It gets called each time the data is refreshed. I was just wondering if I could be doing something differently so that the schema handled the conversion all the time.

    self._grid = grd$.kendoGrid({
    columns: [...],
            dataSource: {
    schema: {
                            model: {
                                id: "somekey",
                                fields: {
                                    NewTradeFlag: { editable: false },
                                    TradeDate: { editable: false, type: "date" },
    ...
                                }
                            }
                        },
                    data: self.ViewModel.DisplayData.TransactionData
             }
    ...
    })

    Later on we do this

    self._grid.dataSource.data(newJsonData);

    P.S. we originally were using MVVM binding straight to the ViewModel but that didn't work either.

    Thank you in advance, Jim.

    Bug report

    When a custom class attribute is set via the columns.attributes option, the TreeList renders an additional class that is undefined.

    Reproduction of the problem

    1. Initialize a TreeList.

    2. Set a custom class via the attributes option:

    3. Inspect the relevant "td" element

    Bug report

    When there are multiple Window components initialized in one page the initially defined z-index is not changing when tapping on a given Window on an iPad device in the Safari browser.

    Reproduction of the problem

    1. Open this Dojo example on an iPad
    2. Drag the upper Window(Number 3) aside and tap on the second one

    Possible fix
    Replace:
    wrapper.add(wrapper.children('.k-resize-handle,' + KWINDOWTITLEBAR)).on('mousedown' + NS, proxy(that.toFront, that));

    With

    wrapper.add(wrapper.children('.k-resize-handle,' + KWINDOWTITLEBAR)).on('mousedown' + NS, proxy(that.toFront, that)).on('touchstart' + NS, proxy(that.toFront, that));

    Current behavior

    The second Window continues to stay under window number 3

    Expected/desired behavior

    Once a given Window is tapped its should pop to the top and its content shouldn't be hidden by other Windows.

    • Open the linked above Dojo project in Chrome for iPad and see the correct behavior

    Hi,

    I've implemented the DateRangePicker in our software and I noticed that the selection of the DateRangePicker has a slide different behavior to the Angular DateRangePicker.
    This behavior is also reproducible in the demo website.

    Scenario:
    Select a range. Alter range to the new values. First, update '03-11-2019' -> '04-11-2019'. Second, update '09-11-2019' -> ''

    First selection:
    Start date: 03-11-2019
    End date: 09-11-2019

    Now I want to update this range to:

    Expectation:
    Start date: 04-11-2019
    End date: 16-11-2019

    Result:
    Start date: 16-11-2019
    End date: null
    When I select the start date, it's updated as expected (04-11-2019) but selecting the new end date (16-11-2019), sets the a new start date instead of the end date. As described by the result values.

    I'm testing https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/notification/index with the NVDA screen reader.

    1. Notifications are not announced by the screen reader, violating success Criterion 4.1.3.

    2. Notifications are not accessible by keyboard.

    3. The "close" button is not semantically a button.

    4. The "close" button is not focusable by keyboard.

    5. Auto-hiding notifications violate the 2.2 guideline (enough time). I can give my user an option to see notifications for a longer time, say 100 seconds instead of 10, but unable to close them by keyboard, they can end up with an overflow of messages.

    6. The color contrasts are insufficient (4.26 for the red ones, only 2.73 for the green ones).

    Notifications are listed on https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/accessibility/section-508-wcag as AA-level compliant, and while I understand they're one of the hardest component to make accessible due to their asynchronous nature, the current implementation is closer to a bad practices example than a correct solution.

    When submitting a selection in the ComboBox via Enter keypress an incorrect item is selected.

    Reproduction of the problem
    Run this dojo
    Enter 199 in the input field and:
    Click outside of the input field - text() returns 199, value() returns 199
    Hit Tab key - text() returns 199, value() returns 199
    Hit Enter key - text() returns 4, value() returns 199
    With Kendo UI versions after 2018.2.516 pressing the Tab key outputs the same result as pressing the Enter key.

    Current behavior
    An incorrect item from dataSource is being selected on Enter keypress.

    Expected/desired behavior
    Selection modes should return same item.
