The radial and linear gauges currently DO NOT support a title and legend option. It forces me to customize the widget after it's rendered, which means that the look is inconsistent with the other Kendo widgets.
Please add support for title and legend for the gauges.

I have experience with OpenText Brava Enterprise. I've had the chance to integrate their Viewer in our in-house document management system. This viewer opens up to 100 file formats and allows to add/remove/edit annotations on files and saves these annotations as a separate layer on top of the file. So next time you open the same file to view, you can load the annotations (via API) calls and place the layer of annotations on top.

I was hoping I would see the same thing with Telerik PDF Viewer (and I am aware this works only for PDF). To allow the user to add a Text comment, Shapes, Stamps, Image, PDF Bookmark, etc.

:upon selecting an item, either by click or programmatically,

$(tv).scrollIntoView(item) with would bring the item into view, even in multilevel nested, hierarchical, situations.

that would be very sweet!!
I have tried JQuery.scrollTo but have had no success in nested <li>
scenarios.
thanks

item will scroll into view

It will be a nice feature if it is possible to delete the tables inserted in the Editor by selecting them and then pressing the Delete/Backspace button.

Currently, this behavior is working in Internet Explorer as it can be observed in this video.

It would be nice to have the functionality to dynamically switch tagNodes, this feature would help sort out the issue of expanding the dropdown if many selections have been made .i.e.

It should show like the image below instead

It would also be great to add the feature to auto-select the parent's children and their sub children if the parent is checked.

The workaround for these issues is available on  this dojo

Both Chrome and Firefox now have native PDF viewer support including the ability to display and navigate bookmarks within the document.  Kendo’s control doesn’t have this functionality, but it’s possible to implement since PDF.js does and the Kendo control supports PDF.js rendering.

We’d really like to have a common UI for viewing documents within our web application, but we’re currently forced to render PDFs natively for Chrome and Firefox and with limited bookmark functionality for Internet Explorer by way of partial bookmark functionality we’ve implemented on top of the Kendo control.

Allow bookmarks to be set in the PDFViewer’s configuration during initialization, and then add a method to allow them to be scrolled-to by id.  The bookmarks would simply be y-coordinate/page number pairs. It’d also be nice if the viewer could read the bookmarks directly, but not entirely necessary with PDF.js rendering since they can be read from PDF.js

Ideally, you could also expose the raw PDF.js document object used by the PDFViewer so that it could be used instead.

I'd like to request adding checkbox functionality to the Kendo UI Menu's api similar to the Kendo UI TreeView.

Provide a data source setting and functionality that all the dates be created as UTC replacing the need to write the requestEnd code everywhere:

https://docs.telerik.com/aspnet-mvc/html-helpers/data-management/grid/how-to/editing/utc-time-on-both-server-and-client

It would be very helpful not to have to do this in every scenario that requires using UTC dates and have the data source create the dates in UTC as they reach the client.

Changing order of columns by dragging by column header is cool (and should stay), but this scenario is inefficient for large number of columns (more than 10-20).

I suggest to add drag&drop feature to Grid/TreeList column menu (where i can show and hide columns already) to change order of columns.

Hi,

I think it make sense that Telerik will provide a built in tool to support QR Code scanning with the Kendo UI Mobile suites.

At the moment we need to use some 3rd parties JS libs for it and it will really help a lot if it will be part of the Kendo family and will support all type of OS/Devices.

Thanks,

ilan.

It would be great to have such controls as webparts/widgets to place in a dashboard where we could move them around the screen to reorder how data is presented with option to save/retrieve the layout from a persistent source.

In the dashboard the functionality would be to define a layout where we could add/remove, change position the widgets (like in dropthings or pageflakes). The widgets would contain controls like Kendo Grid or DataViz controls to display information.

That would be a killer feature.

When endless scrolling and grouping is enabled on the KendoUI grid, collapsing large groups causes the grid to load ALL the hidden detail rows into the DOM.

This takes a very long time for the grid to do, as well it violates the whole point of a paging system. (ie I only want you to load X records at a time). Afterwards the performance of entire website (including the grid) will be very poor since potentially thousands of rows have been loaded into the grid and then immediately hidden. Additionally, these rows do not add any value to the user, since they are all hidden anyways.

When a category is collapsed, the grid should NOT add any new rows for that category to the DOM.

I have included a sample that demonstrates the performance issues.

While dates and numbers can be formatted according to the current culture, kendo.getFileSizeMessage() has constant English strings '0 Byte' and 'Bytes'.

I suggest doing as Windows Explorer does: 0 as "0 KB", and any size between that and 1 KB as "1 KB".

Expose API that would allow a check of whether filtering has been applied to a given range/sheet. Especially identify the case when filtering is applied but no items were filtered out.

I am using Kendo tree view with drag and drop feature enabled in it. I am facing problem with it in my Samsung note 10 mobile. Where a normal swipe on the phone with the tree view is picked up as a drag and drop. Is there a way to differentiate between these two.

One of the basic stock chart features for amcharts\yahoo\google charts is to recalculate a percent axis during comparisons.

http://www.amcharts.com/stock-chart/
https://www.amcharts.com/tutorials/disabling-or-enabling-value-axis-recalculation-to-percents/

The stockchart should be more of a widget that allows comparisons that automatically converts to percents during comparisons.

For example, in the amcharts you can add\remove stocks easily, and when there are two stocks to compare it automatically shifts to a percent axis. The chart itself does the calculations as they are very standard.

For us, this would also need to work in a virtual MVC scenario.

Currently, we have to do the calculations either on the client\server, insert\remove\hide\show price\percent axis and legend info etc....just to duplicate other charts that are built in with these features.

Kendo Chart has setting min/max for the axis. However, when zooming and/or dragging/panning the chart, the min/max values are no longer in effect, therefore the chart ends up displaying values outside of this range. If min/max is used to specify the current axis values, then there should be another to specify the general boundaries/range of the axis.
Example: if you have a plot with XAxis min=1950 and max=2050, when zooming the XAxis and depending on the data it will eventually display 1948 and 2060; or, it will stop at 2030 even though I requested XAxis to go up to 2050.

I suggest to add some simple arithmetic for the stack values and display them as label to explain the chart in a profession way. Such as showing the total time of all usage for the meeting room. So use sum({0}, {1}) and display it on top of the bar chart.

We already have click events for the plot area, axis labels, etc., but a click event for the chart title is conspicuously absent.

I have received development requests that would require this, but currently have no available workaround to allow it.
