Problem: Currently when a Rectangle together with a large TextBlock is contained by a Shape where the Rectangle should enclose the TextBlock it is not resized by the size of the TextBlock, but the TextBlock is overflowing the Rectangle. Possible solution: Make the Rectangle a "visual group" so child elements like e.g. TextBlock or Image can be added to it and it will resize with the size of it's children. Hi Product team! I would love to have similar heat map chart on Kendo, as swimlane guys have: https://swimlane.github.io/ngx-charts/#/ngx-charts/heat-map or https://swimlane.github.io/ngx-charts/#/ngx-charts/calendar Thank you! otherwise you are doing great job.
We have many tasks, and rendering in gantt so slowly. If use Pager with datasource, gantt show items on level 2 and above. Please, add virtualization + virtual scroll in gantt control
It would bei nice if the gantt would support Auto Height like Grid is doing and is only rendering the Height for the used elements, when you define no addiotional height property.
We currently do not have an option for lazy loading in Gantt. It will be helpful to have this option for large data (like 10000). We do currently have a filter functions like range to show the limited data but having loadOnDemand helps for large data.
In a Kendo Scheduler it would be nice to view the grouped items like treeview which can expand and collapse the rows. We have the same expand/collapse function with Kendo Gantt control, need the same in Kendo Scheduler
I am using kendo's Gantt chart. But I unable to achieve few things using the existing Gantt chart features.
Following are the features I request should be provided for Gantt chart:

5. If task label is exceeding the width of the task, then height of the task should be increased to accommodate task label(in other words, text should be wrapped). Also, font-size of the text should be responsive, that is, font-size should be reduced to accommodate entire text in minimum task height.

Telerik Upload is lacking image preview and scaling options. Please add support to show a thumbnail of images before uploading and also the ability to resize images on the client. This is really important when you have people wanting to upload photos and they select big files when you only need a small image. Images can be scaled server side but much faster upload and more convenient client side. Examples of free components that already do this: https://www.plupload.com/ https://nodeca.github.io/pica/demo/
In a Kendo grid, Angular/MVC/JS/Whatever; When using multi check filter. ---- Only show those values that are still useful to filter on!!! --- When filtering is done(one to many columns) - ONLY the remaining options should be seen when setting the NEXT filter (not all possible values in the database) of course distinct and sorted (the grid could have an option of doing it this way or the old way) example: let's say we have 5 numbers of categories, each category have 20 different details. when filtering is set on one category, then when filtering on details - only the 20 remaining details should be seen, not 100(5*20) and vice verse, if filtering one detail - only one category should be seen when filtering on category.
When performing a grid refresh, the grid re-renders the all the grid rows. I think it would be very efficient to have a choice to render specific, changed rows. This is valuable if the grid has many items (200 items for example).
For the time being the Spreadsheet parser is unable to read files which tags are not in the default namespace. Try to open the attached file in this demo project: https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/spreadsheet/index.
You won't be able to load the file. If you open the file in Excel, save the file ("Ctrl+S") and try to load it in the Spreadsheet again, there will be no issues with it. The difference in file's structure before and after being saved in Excel could be seen in the attached screenshot.
The code in red is the structure of the file before saving it and the one in green is after the "save" operation. The difference between the files is that the structure of the one saved in Excel inserts the tags in the default namespace while the original document uses the "x:" namespace.
It will be very useful if we can load files with defined namespaces in their structure.
Currently the spreadsheet dynamically creates the FilterMenu for a range, that is, it's not created until someone clicks the filter dropdown, and it's destroyed if they switched tabs. There is no event that is fired when these things happen, which makes it hard to attach to, and customize, the FilterMenu without setting up some crazy listening code (setTimeout, etc.). It would be great if either (or both: - You could specify a template for the filter menu. - You could listen for a "FilterMenu Initialized" event and capture the menu there and customize it.
