https://github.com/telerik/kendo-ui-core/issues/3903

Bug report
Currently, DataSource bound Spreadsheet throws "Unsupported for multiple ranges" error when attempting to delete the content from multiple not adjusted cells.

The error is thrown by the values() method:

values: function (values) {
    if (this._ref instanceof UnionRef) {
        throw new Error('Unsupported for multiple ranges.');
    }
    if (this._ref === kendo.spreadsheet.NULLREF) {
....
Reproduction of the problem
Go to the DataSource Binding demo;
Select a few cells using the Ctrl + click;
Press Delete button on the keyboard;
"Unsupported for multiple ranges" error will be thrown from the values() method;

This bug has not been resolved in Version 2018.3.911.

Bug report

When the Kendo UI TimePicker is used as an editor and the dateInput option is set to true, incorrect validation is initiated. By default, the DateInput underlying widget min option is set to today's date.

Reproduction of the problem

1. Create a TimePicker widget.

2. Set the dateInput option to true.

3. Open the cell for editing.

4. Press enter and see the default value applied.

Dojo sample:

https://dojo.telerik.com/EsolonuQ

Expected/desired behavior

When the TimePicker min option is set, the DateInput widget should take the min from the options of its owner, rather than taking today's date.

Workaround

Set the options of the DateInput after the initialization of the widget:

 $(input).getKendoTimePicker()._dateInput.options.min =  new Date(1910, 9, 11);

Environment

* **Kendo UI version:** 2020.1.114
* **jQuery version:** 1.12.4
* **Browser:** [all]

Add property that defines a delay before requesting new items when scrolling.

This would prevent sending multiple request when dragging the scrollbar and passing more than one page.

I would love to see a feature added to the MVC Gantt control that would allow filtering tasks within the Gantt. Currently when we filter tasks in our Gantt using an external filter which filters the datasource tasks are dropped from the result set if their parent tasks do not meet the filter criteria. This is obviously a problem and makes filtering useless when tasks are dropped when they actually meet the criteria. I would like to see the filtering work as the TreeView and TreeList controls do. When you filter a column in those controls the parent items are returned regardless of whether they meet the filter criteria. This is needed in a hierarchical control like the Gantt chart.

This would be a great addition to the control. In the meantime, we'll either leave filtering out of our application or try to find a way to recursively gather all of the parent task ids and include them in our service to return tasks that meet the filter criteria.

Thanks for considering!

Telerik is pushing their support for Angular pretty hard now, and I think that is wonderful. But with it, you're still leaving the documentation on the matter pretty sparse and kind of obscure.

Right now, it is kind of tucked away out of sight here: http://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/getting-started/introduction

Though to your credit, you __have__ updated all of the demos with an _Angular_ example, which is __very appreciated__ and I thank you much for it.

I think it would make me, and many others I know, a lot more comfortable if the support for Angular were treated a bit more first class. As long as it continues to be put in out of the way places, it still feels very 'unofficial' or 'tentative'. Could we possibly get a more expansive documentation right on the demos page, perhaps under "tools", or a new actual "Angular" folder on the primary API documentation?

Allow storing a deadline in a Gantt Task. This could be used to visualise deadlines as you can in Telerik's Silverlight Gantt chart: http://demos.telerik.com/silverlight/#GanttView/Deadline,
or it could be used to figure out which tasks to highlight that are late, overdue or on the critical path.

Hi Team,

It would be nice to have a feature in Charts were we can drag and drop the series points especially with Line & Bar charts. This will allow the end user to interact with data visually.

Here is the example link: https://jsfiddle.net/gh/get/library/pure/highcharts/highcharts/tree/master/samples/highcharts/dragdrop/resize-column

Thank You,

Hitendra

User want to drag the series point as well as series line(whole series line) in any direction, so the user can move the series where he want, please refer the below URL, where user can move the series point in vertical direction only, likewise the user want to drag the series point as well as series line in any direction, so he can set the threshold limit where he want by using the custom series and analysis the chart against his threshold limit

At this time rendering a chart based on a large amount of data takes a while during that period:
- loading animation stops moving
- browser does not respond to any action
- worst case the bowsers long-running-script alert appears

Suggestions:
- Would it be possible (for telerik) to do the rendering of chart in a JS web worker (JS background thread)?
- and/or is it possible to cut rendering code into small pieces (common solution to avoid browser message mentioned above) using setTimeout()?
- give user the ability to stop rendering chart (ideally show percentage of rendering progress)

Benefits:
- keep loading animation moving while chart is rendered
- letting the user decide to stop the script if it takes too long
- suppressing browser message caused by long running script

Chart series are defined with custom marker color & type(Triangle, Square). The color applied in the series get reflect in the legend color but the market type defined at series not applied to the legend.

By default all the legends are displayed as "Square" is there a way to customize or overrride to get allign with the marker style defined in each series.

Several forum posts have mentioned that the best way to customize a legend is to hide Kendo's and make our own. I would be so great if we could just customize the legend similarly to most other areas of the chart that can be customized.

Please provide a property that will enable the ValueAxis of Radar Chart to be visible on top of the RadarArea series.

Currently, if the RadarArea Series has the opacity property set to 1.0, it masks the ValueAxis. To make the ValueAxis visible, the RadarArea's opacity should be reduced and this in turn makes the color of RadarArea less appealing.

Please provide a feature whereby we can make the ValueAxis visible through the RadarArea series without compromising on the opacity.

Well basically the idea is as in the topic. Sometimes we need to show something in hh:mm:ss format on y-axis and it's not possible.

I've experimented with the Kendo UI on my iPad, with the VoiceOver feature enabled and some of the widgets work well, but not all do.
Adding support for VoiceOver would add a huge level of accessibility to our apps.

Dear Concerned,

1. Open https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/spreadsheet/index

2. Select column B and drag mouse towards C, both columns will be selected which is correct behavior

3. Now just scroll down 2-3 rows using vertical scroll bar

4. Repeat step 2, this time it does not select B &  C, instead it selects B,C,D,E.

5. Seems a bug, not an expected behavior.

Observation that might help you in fixing it:

1. if you move scroll bar in such a way so that no merged cell is visible it works well, e.g. scroll down till 20th row becomes first visible row on screen and now repeat step 2, it will work

2. if scroll position is on top then behavior is correct as well

3. Same issue exists in case of multiple row selection with merged column and scroll position.

Have the possibility to use a specific dashType when the graph is set to "interpolate" for the missing values (null values)

Please see the attached image in this thread :

The images inside the editor Widget are resizable only when using Firefox. It would be great if the resize option for images is also available for other "big" browsers like Chrome, Safari and IE. I'm aware of the thread that says that only Firefox supports image resizing by default. This could be implemented independent of supporting it by browsers. Many other (opensource) editors like tinymce support that feature by default, that could be implement by Javascript instead of waiting for other browsers supporting it.

Hi,

We often need to modify values of an existing graph (either to change values, or filter existing set). However animation is very ugly when doing this, as it starts the animation from start. It would be awesome if animation could be more configurable, and would allow to control how animation is processed when chart's data is changed.

Thanks!
