I generate a simple custom dialog with 3 buttons using the following code:
var modalDialog = $('<div id="dialog"></div>');
modalDialog.appendTo($('body'))
modalDialog.kendoDialog({
width: "450px",
title: 'Title',
closable: true,
modal: true,
content: 'What is your choice?',
actions: [
{ text: 'Button 1' },
{ text: 'Button 2' },
{ text: 'Button 3' },
],
animation: {
open: {
effects: "fade:in",
duration: 250
},
close: {
effects: "fade:out",
duration: 250
}
},
});
For Kendo I use a custom download based on v2018.3.10.17 which works fine.
After creating a new custom package based in 2019.1.220 the dialog looks broken. (see image below)
Usually each of the buttons would automatically get an inline style of 33% so they stretch over the whole width of the dialog.
For some reason this doesn't work in the 2019 version anymore and is also broken in the 2019.1.115 build.
Since the documentation doesn't show this as a new layout, I guess it is a bug.
Hi Kendo support team,
I found a bug (or at least an undesired behavior) in the Kendo Multiselect widget.
After initialization the options in the existing select seem to be rebuilt receiving the content as value attribute if it did not exist before.
During this process potentially existing double spaces are replaced with single spaces (see attached image).
If the options of that select are replaced later, they will keep double spaces.
We use the selected values to receive content from the database, which in these cases is not possible anymore.
Since the content of the database is created by our client, we can't guarantee there might not be any double spaces.
In general I think that the content of the existing options should not be modified in any way.
Thanks,
Markus
See the following dojo to reproduce the behavior: https://dojo.telerik.com/oGEcaDoN
Bug report
When the text of a drawer item contains multiple words, the hidden class is not removed.
Reproduction of the problem
Open and run this dojo
Notice the second item text is "My Notifications".
Click on the second item
Drawer content is not displayed
Current behavior
On click of an item with multiple words, the drawer content is not displayed
Expected/desired behavior
On click of an item with multiple words, the drawer content should be displayed.
A possible solution could be the removal of spaces:
e.sender.drawerContainer.find("#drawer-content").find("#" + e.item.find(".k-item-text").text().replace(" ","")).removeClass("hidden");
Environment
Kendo UI version: 2019.3.1023
Browser: [all]
The error "TypeError: Cannot read property 'type' of undefined" is thrown
Some error should be thrown, but one that the developer can recognize and handle appropriately.
Your example of persisting state saves it in localStorage. Say my user saves the state on Monday, and by Tuesday, a column is removed, renamed, has a different type... I need to handle that user's deprecated saved state.
Hello,
We have an issue with the combobox widget on chrome for android v77.0..
You can see the demo here https://dojo.telerik.com/aroMevIy.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Run the example in Dojo on chrome for android v77.0.3865.92
2. Scroll down to an item that was not initially visible and select it
The result is that nothing is selected.
From debugging we saw that the change event on the widget is not fired.
Best regards,
Rostislav
p.s. the Additional Information Version dropdown doesn't have version 2018.1.221 as an option
I've selected a version on which the bug is fixed!!!
dojo: http://dojo.telerik.com/UMuRaBax/3
Steps to reproduce:
1. Run the dojo, let the comobox list load and let it select the default item ('Oulu' in this case).
2. start typing 'Madrid' in the input field of the combobox.
3. press Tab key and observe behavior.
dojo example

we set same data for all 3 pickers, 1 & 3 open immediately as soon as we set the date & than clear them, 2 first clear than open, in the end all cleared but some still show any date but current
what we want:
if we set the date & than cleared DP, DP should show current date despite was it opened or not
Dear staff,
I am working extensively with Kendo UI Drawing API, specifically with drawDOM and exportPDF methods. I encountered a strange issue, which leads to the generation of corrupt PDF files.
After several attempts to analyze the problem, I found a small piece of code that allows to systematically reproduce the issue. You can find the code as attached.
Opening the example page with Chrome browser I got a corrupted PDF file, while Internet Explorer seems to generate a valid PDF file starting from the same source page.
Checking with an online PDF validator, the file generated by Chrome exploits this validation error:
“The content stream contains an invalid operator.
The operator has an invalid number of operands.”
I’m not skilled with PDF internals, but comparing the valid file of IE and the invalid file of Chrome, I noticed that an “infinite” value appears in the invalid PDF.
The row in the valid PDF is “1 0 0 -1 -9494.7900391 -9965.5996094 cm“, while the same row in the invalid PDF is “1 0 0 -1 Infinity Infinity cm”.
I noticed that the presence of an “Infinite” value is the common behavior whenever the corrupt PDF problem occurs.
When a user clicks on the map outside of a shape (i.e. in an ocean) and drags to pan around the map, the click event does not get fired fired after panEnd.
When a user clicks on a shape (i.e. a Montana) and then drags to pan around the map, the shapeClick event fires after panEnd.
This issue is reproducible on the events demo page: https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/map/events
The events reported when clicking and dragging on a shape, (bottom being first event):
Shape mouseEnter :: Montana
The fontSize tool gets focus after text selection.
* Open and run https://dojo.telerik.com/oRuLayir demo.
* Select /highlight Line4, choose 16 in the fontSize dropdown.
* Put the cursor at the end of Line6, select Line4, Line5 and Line6 using the mouse. Note that the keyboard focus has shifted to the fontSize dropdown.
Hi
I am binding columns dynamcially in jquery without template column header spacing working file becuase i have added "[ ]" this symbol.
but when try to add anchor tag link with onclick method then i am getting issue.
i have attached file java script error please provide some solutions.
When using MVVM, when modal = true, the entire page is always in modal mode at page load even if the dialog is not visible. When not using MVVM, when the dialog is not visible, the page is not in modal mode which is expected.
Here is a modified Dojo that I got from your demo page that I set the dialog to not visible but the modal is on at page load.
https://dojo.telerik.com/OYOcedum
Here is the same not using MVVM that the dialog is set to not visible and the modal is not on at page load as expected.
We have: Uncaught Error: The toDataURL method can be used only with jsZip 2. Either include jsZip 2 or use the toDataURLAsync method.
and we have:
so i implement a function SpreadSheetOnexcelExport on excelExport event:
$.SpreadSheetOnexcelExport = function(){
var args = arguments[0];
var options = args.sender.options;
var wb = args.workbook;
var wbX = new kendo.ooxml.Workbook(wb)
var dataURL = wbX.toDataURLAsync();
wbX.toDataURLAsync().then(function(dataURL) {
kendo.saveAs({
dataURI: dataURL,
fileName: options.excel.fileName
});
});
args.preventDefault();
}
The problem is that, for fileName, I have no way to use the file name, selected by the user:
He have created this dojo to illustrate our point.
https://dojo.telerik.com/@navdeep316/iKAmeDAv
We would like to be able to be able to clone options from the top options and subsequently to be able to edit any cloned (child) option.
We are unable to figure out a way so that the child/cloned dropdowns can change state.
Is it a bug or a feature? How can we achieve our aim?
Thank you so much,
Dimitris
Hi,
I am facing an issue with Kendo grid ,i.e. Having more than one filter present in a grid and then deleting any one filter entry and clicking FILTER (or just pressing ENTER on keyboard) clears ALL filters.
In my Kendo grid , when I apply a filter to 2 columns, first I apply filter to numeric column which results in no value and, after that I applies the filter to a string column combined with numeric column which also results to no value, Nothing is displayed. But when I remove the value from textbox of numeric column and enter filter, no data is being displayed as string column filter is there but in case I remove the value from textbox of string column and enter filter , numeric column filter also gets removed. I also checked the Kendo functionality , but didn't find any solution for this problem.
Here's the code for Kendo Grid Filter which is causing the above issue.
$scope.DemoGrid = {
columns: [
{ field: 'ID', title: "ID", template: "<span><a href='' class='link-default' ng-click='getDetails(\"#=ID#\")'>#=ID#</a></span>" },
{ field: 'Type', filterable: false, title: "Type" },
{ field: 'Name', title: "Name", template: "<span>#=Name# </span>" },
{
field: 'Date', title: "Date", type: "date", format: "{0:dd-MMM-yyyy}", parseFormats: ["dd/MM/yyyy"],
filterable: {
ui: function (element) {
element.kendoDatePicker({
format: "dd-MMM-yyyy",
parseFormats: ["dd/MM/yyyy"]
});
}
}
}
,
{ field: '', title: 'Action', template: "<span><a href=\'" + DemoDownloadApi + "?id=#=DownloadId#\' role='button' class='btn btn-blue-primary'>Download</a></a></span>" },
{ field: "DownloadId", hidden: true, sortable: false },
],
pageable: {
buttonCount: 5,
pageSizes: [10, 20, 50, 100, 'All'],
input: true,
//refresh: false,
messages: {
display: Msg1,
empty: Msg2
}
},
sortable: true,
dataSource: DemoDataSource,
autoBind: false,
filterable: true,
scrollable: false,
resizable: true,
};
If I read https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/AngularJS/introduction I find “Setting Handlers through k-on Attribute” which suggests that I should be able to write `k-on-` prior to any of the events documented at https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/api/javascript/ui/upload#events and automatically run under `$apply()` or `$applyAsync()`. However, when I try that, my event handler doesn’t even run at all.
I think this is an oversight.
I can reproduce this in https://dojo.telerik.com/ocESevUS which is generated from the link at https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/upload/angular which uses AngularJS v1.7.2 and Kendo UI v2018.3.1017.
When using AngularJS binding for dropdownlist options in the latest version of Kendo (2018.3.1017), the option labels are not dynamically bound to the scope/controller. I changed one of the options to have the label {{::foo}} and set the field foo to "BAR" when initializing the scope. When I run this code with the latest version, the literal text "{{::foo}}" is displayed for the first item of the drop down. When I use an older version of Kendo (2018.2.516), the text "BAR" is displayed for that item. This is a regression bug that is causing an error in our product.
Here is a testcase that illustrates the problem. To toggle between the working and broken versions, change the CDN values.
<div class="filterField">
<label for="filterTags">Tags</label><br/>
<div class="filterFieldBody">
<input id="filterTags"/>
</div>
</div>
$( document ).ready( function ()
{$( "#filterTags" ).kendoMultiSelect( {
placeholder: "Select Tag(s)",
autoClose: false,
dataTextField: "text",
dataValueField: "value",
autoBind: false,
dataSource: [
{ text: 'Summery Love Campaign', value: '1' },
{ text: 'Melbourne Cup', value: '2' },
{ text: '2018 Formals', value: '3' },
{ text: '2018 Schoolies Dance Club', value: '4' },
{ text: '2018 Schoolies Beach Fun', value: '5' },
{ text: 'Bridesmaids', value: '6' },
{ text: 'Wedding', value: '7' }
],
//value: [], without value set to an empty array kendo ui assumes value:[''] but with an array count of 0// which causes all kinds of issues most especially when deleting
change: function ( e )
{
tagIds = this.value();
alert(JSON.stringify(tagIds));
}
} );
} );
