Since the 2019 R1 release k-pager-sm (k-pager-lg, k-pager-md) classes are assigned dynamically based on the width of the page to make the component responsive (as I understood from https://www.telerik.com/forums/kendo-ui-grid-pager-not-displaying-properly-in-sass-mode#wn92di5BakmHqrrMfViFxA)

When grids are used on bootstrap tabs (both boostrap 3 and 4) the k-pager-sm class is added incorrectly, causing the pagers on tabs other than the first to be displayed only partially.

A JSFiddle to demonstrate this: https://jsfiddle.net/nqjc4mbu/

The pager on the 1st tab:

And on the 2nd and 3rd tab:

(we've solved it with a workaround by dynamically removing the k-pager-sm class again on dataBound, but this shouldn't be necessary)

Starting from a Grid's "endless scrolling demo" on: https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/grid/endless-scrolling-remote

Edit grid configuration to set smaller page size. All items of the first page need to be visible on the screen plus some free space. A grid height needs to be set. See this DOJO: https://dojo.telerik.com/amiNohIx

The vertical scroll bar is disabled and there is no way to get/see next pages of data.

Interesting is that use of the horizontal scrollbar (if one is available) starts some background operation (looks as data page load) and then the vertical scrollbar is OK.

Bug in js\spreadsheet\numformat.js makeDateFormat

You appear to be using the wrong indices inside a nested loop.

if (/^(?:date|time|ampm)$/.test(section.body[i].type)) {

Should be (switch i to j)

if (/^(?:date|time|ampm)$/.test(section.body[j].type)) {

Getting error

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'type' of undefined
     at Object.<anonymous> (numformat.js:630)

Note: Version is actually 2018.3.1114 from npm

Reproduction

Run dojo at https://dojo.telerik.com/@GaloisGirl/UtuZIyOd

Current behavior

All three notifications are removed after one second

Expected behavior

The blue notification should be removed after 2 seconds, the orange one after 1 second, the red one never.

Analysis

The bug only occurs with the appendTo option.

In the showStatic method, we clearly see all displayed notifications are iterated over and being attached the _hideStatic method. In my example:

  1. the blue notification is shown and scheduled to be hidden after 2s
  2. the red notification is shown, none is scheduler do be hidden, because autoHideAfter is 0
  3. the orange notification is shown, and the blue one, the red one, and the orange one are scheduled to be hidden after 1s.

The 2018.1.117 code does not feature this loop and the bug is not present.

the dashed line in the chart is showing correctly in IE 10, but when exporting to a png image with the function exportImage, the dashed line becomes a solid line. I've been told that this can be solved with kind of polyfilling, you guys should really make this work, the reason is that this works in Chrome, for the sake of your product consistency, this feature should also work in IE.

if there is a possibility to fix an issue, I think we'd better make it.

Creating a new folder

  1. Run sample at https://dojo.telerik.com/@GaloisGirl/EpuYiJOt   (cloned from https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/filemanager/api , but there's no back-end error there )
  2. Add new folder
  3. Backend returns error (because the relative URLs throw a 404 error there)
  4. Result:
    1. Actual: a new folder is seen in the right pane (regardless if list or grid) but not in the TreeView in the left pane
    2. Expected: state should be consistent between both panes.

Deleting a folder

Fails silently. The folder disappears from both views.

Renaming a folder

The renamed folder is shown as renamed in the TreeView, but the ListView or GridView hangs.

If I'm doing something wrong, an example of proper back-end error handling would be helpful.

The views.tree option is undocumented on https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/api/javascript/ui/filemanager/configuration/views.tree

The example fails with error:

Error: Error! The requested URL returned 0 - error at line 114

It's also unclear whether "tree" is a 3rd view in parallel to "list" and "grid" as the drop-down on https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/filemanager/api would suggest (and if that is the case, how to enable this as an option in the toolbar) or whether it relates to the treeView of folders on the side.

  1. Create a grid with two editable columns.
  2. Define validation rules for both columns. Keep one column as required.
  3. Edit the row. Set the required column value using model.set method.'

It fails because before setting the value it performs validation. If validation was successful then it will set the value on model.

Since the desired field has no value and validation rule will fail on that.

It should accept the value and then perform validation. If validation fails with new value then it might discard the changes.

$("#grid").kendoGrid({ dataSource: { batch: true, transport: { read: function(e){ e.success([1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9].map(function(i){return {id: i, title: "test" + i}})); } }, schema: { model: { id: "id", fields: { id: {defaultValue: "-1"}, title: { validation: { required: true } } } } } }, columns: [ {field: "title", title: "Title", filterable: {field: "title.a"}}, {command: ["edit", {name: "destroy"}]} ], editable: {mode: "inline"}, filterable: true, toolbar: [{name: "create"}] });

var grid = $("#grid").getKendoGrid();
var model = grid.dataItems()[0];
grid.editRow(model);
model.set('title', '');
model.set('title', 'test 1111'); // it will fail

  • Create e.g. local data grid (id, name)
  • add 2 records => { id: 1, name: "null", id: 2, name: "Jack" }
  • Name column for id = 1 is empty

I have tested this on your example for local data grid. It can be applicable also for remote grid, treelist, etc.

While the grid pager is enabled, if set a new datasource of this grid via javascript ( grid.setDataSource(new kendo.data.DataSource(obj)) ), multiple pager numbers wrapper wil be created. And this makes pager layout wrong.

I generate a simple custom dialog with 3 buttons using the following code:

var modalDialog = $('<div id="dialog"></div>');
modalDialog.appendTo($('body'))
modalDialog.kendoDialog({
    width: "450px",
    title: 'Title',
    closable: true,
    modal: true,
    content: 'What is your choice?',
    actions: [
        { text: 'Button 1' },
        { text: 'Button 2' },
        { text: 'Button 3' },
    ],
    animation: {
        open: {
            effects: "fade:in",
            duration: 250
        },
        close: {
            effects: "fade:out",
            duration: 250
        }
    },
});

For Kendo I use a custom download based on v2018.3.10.17 which works fine.

After creating a new custom package based in 2019.1.220 the dialog looks broken. (see image below)
Usually each of the buttons would automatically get an inline style of 33% so they stretch over the whole width of the dialog.
For some reason this doesn't work in the 2019 version anymore and is also broken in the 2019.1.115 build.

Since the documentation doesn't show this as a new layout, I guess it is a bug.

Hi Kendo support team,

I found a bug (or at least an undesired behavior) in the Kendo Multiselect widget.

After initialization the options in the existing select seem to be rebuilt receiving the content as value attribute if it did not exist before.
During this process potentially existing double spaces are replaced with single spaces (see attached image).

If the options of that select are replaced later, they will keep double spaces.

We use the selected values to receive content from the database, which in these cases is not possible anymore.
Since the content of the database is created by our client, we can't guarantee there might not be any double spaces.

In general I think that the content of the existing options should not be modified in any way.

Thanks,
Markus

See the following dojo to reproduce the behavior: https://dojo.telerik.com/oGEcaDoN

Bug report
When the text of a drawer item contains multiple words, the hidden class is not removed.

Reproduction of the problem
Open and run this dojo
Notice the second item text is "My Notifications".
Click on the second item
Drawer content is not displayed

Current behavior
On click of an item with multiple words, the drawer content is not displayed

Expected/desired behavior
On click of an item with multiple words, the drawer content should be displayed.
A possible solution could be the removal of spaces:
e.sender.drawerContainer.find("#drawer-content").find("#" + e.item.find(".k-item-text").text().replace(" ","")).removeClass("hidden");

Environment
Kendo UI version: 2019.3.1023
Browser: [all]

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Run the dojo at https://dojo.telerik.com/@GaloisGirl/uBiLIbiP/3 . The state of the filter is "(ContactTitle Is equal to 'Sales Representative')", however, the ContactTitle field has been commented out from the dataSource schema.

Current behavior

The error "TypeError: Cannot read property 'type' of undefined" is thrown

Expected/desired behavior

Some error should be thrown, but one that the developer can recognize and handle appropriately.

Your example of persisting state saves it in localStorage. Say my user saves the state on Monday, and by Tuesday, a column is removed, renamed, has a different type... I need to handle that user's deprecated saved state.

Hello,

We have an issue with the combobox widget on chrome for android v77.0..

You can see the demo here https://dojo.telerik.com/aroMevIy.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Run the example in Dojo on chrome for android v77.0.3865.92
2. Scroll down to an item that was not initially visible and select it

The result is that nothing is selected.
From debugging we saw that the change event on the widget is not fired.

Best regards,
Rostislav

p.s. the Additional Information Version dropdown doesn't have version 2018.1.221 as an option

I've selected a version on which the bug is fixed!!!
