After updating to the latest version of Kendo UI for jQuery we noticed that the button disabled style appears to be broken.
We were able to reproduce the issue using the Dojo.
The steps to reproduce are very simple.
<! Code to put in between tags >
<div id="view"><input type="text" data-bind="value: name, disabled: isNameDisabled" />
When a ContextMenu is opened for the first time, the animation is not executed. Every consequent open trigger the animation successfully.
The issue can be observed in the following Dojo.
Steps to reproduce:
I believe a kanban board for managing tasks woudl be a great new control. I see that you have something like this in TeamPulse already. In the new control it would be nice to set the number of columns, custom template for an item (but providing a template that resembles sticky pad note would be cool) and allow drag/drop between the columns. The D&D would need to be customizable so that the programmer could restrict which columns an item can move to & from. This would be needed in case they did not want to allow the user to move an item to a previous state or may only allow to move forward 1 step. The reason I put this under bootstrap is because the control should reposition columns below based on screen size. So it may start as a 4 column board but because of the size of the window it is a 2x2.
I use a timebar + sparklines in all our dashboards. http://demos.telerik.com/silverlight/#TimeBar/FirstLook http://demos.telerik.com/silverlight/#Sparklines/Gallery would be great to see an html5 version of the executive dashboard
The expand Icon of the treeview node is being reset, if another node is dropped above/below it.
To reproduce this behavior you can take the Drag and Drop demo of the treeview. In the initial state the "Furniture" node is expanded. If you take the "Decor" node and drop it above the furniture node, the "Furniture" node stays expanded but the icon changes to collapsed.
ADMIN EDIT: workaround: https://dojo.telerik.com/@bratanov/aLigiWaz
The issue does not manifest with R3 2019 SP1.
You can also monitor it in the following GitHub issue: https://github.com/telerik/kendo-ui-core/issues/4820
As discussed on the forum (http://www.telerik.com/forums/virtualization-for-treelist) please improve the rendering/scrolling/expanding/collapsing performance of TreeLists with many expanded rows. Grids support virtualization and work well with hundreds of thousands of rows (http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/grid/virtualization-local-data). Perhaps virtualization can be added to TreeLists to achieve similar results?
The "change" event on DropDownList is being triggered when the value change of the widget is via API and not triggered by user interaction.
Steps to reproduce:
Expected: a log item is NOT added because the change was programmatic and the log item is triggered on "change"
Actual: a log item is added even though the value change was programmatic
The change detection inside the select widget is faulty in that it seems to be effected by focus/blur state.
This issue was found after upgrading kendo UI. I believe the issue was introduced in 2018.1.117
Look at the emerging WASM projects such as Blazor or Ooui. The obvious path seems to be to have a strong HTML based suite, i.e Kendo, ported to Blazor. However another option would be to improve the Xamarin forms components to have comparable functionality to their desktop counterpartys so they can be used in LOB applications under Ooui. The current Xamarin components are too mobile centric. A third option, which admittedly seems like a bit of a long shot at present, would be to take Moonlight, strip out the plugin stuff, strip out all but the layout code, and redo that to write to an HTML Canvas. Now that's probably outside your scope although in my opinion its the most attractive of the 3 options. In summary I suggest you look at providing a full featured UI component suite that runs under wasm.
Sometimes it's useful to limit users to only selecting a certain day of the week. This is possible with jQuery UI but not, AFAIK with Kendo.
Editor does not support placeholder. It would be nice, to have this feature. Posting suggestion based on forum topic: http://www.telerik.com/forums/placeholder-html-attribute
Please take a look at https://github.com/dangrossman/bootstrap-daterangepicker It would be nice to have similar option in DatePicker - to choose range of days.
It would be great if we can have the option to have a multi-month view calendar. Like the one in the asp.net ajax suite. http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/calendar/examples/functionality/multimonthview/defaultcs.aspx
The NumericTextBox should behave like standard input fields and automatically select all the text when tabbing into the control. This should work for NumericTextBox controls whether using inside or outside of a Kendo grid.
I was working with Sencha ExtJS and they have to option to make components "stateful" (http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/6.2.0/classic/Ext.state.Provider.html). This will safe user modified settings in browser (defaults to cookie but you can provide your own implementation). Example (for grid): * we specify width=100 for first colum * we allow users to resize columns * If a users resizes a column the new width will be stored in state * ... if the user later opens the page again, values from state will overwrite "defaults" from code. If we use this for column width, visibility and order we've a perfect customizable grid view.
I have this problem where I use the window but I turn off your titles and use my own custom made because of the specifc layout I have. But by doing so I lose the option of making the window draggable since it can only by dragged by its title. Give us a simple config option to set any elements inside the window as the draggable points. That way I can set my own header and make the window draggable by holding it.
