It would be nice to have a code-formatter like the one in the MVC Extensions, or even an easy way to plug-in an open source code formatter into the Editor.

In the editor, the image manager search should search the current folder and any folders underneath it and return all matching images. Currently it only searches the current directory.

In the editor, offer tools to collaborate on shaping text/content. This would include Word-like functionality to add notes/comments and use track changes with the ability to accept/reject notes, comments, and redlines.

Editor selected default font name and font size display as "inherited" in toolbar tool dropdown.

Can you please add this option or remove the "inherited" value? I don't understand how this is useful in anyway. Why would the user want to see "inherited" and not the actual value. That makes no sense and you guys added something this and wasted time on a feature that adds no value to our end users, none.

The current Grid / Editor combo don't work together, making it nearly impossible to use the Editor inside a Grid. It may be possible, but that requires [AllowHtml] atribute on the model, which is a security concern.

The Editor is currently very reliant on inline styles. Inline styles can be used for XSS attacks, and per the OWASP guidelines they should be sanitized: https://www.owasp.org/index.php/XSS_(Cross_Site_Scripting)_Prevention_Cheat_Sheet#RULE_.234_-_CSS_Escape_And_Strictly_Validate_Before_Inserting_Untrusted_Data_into_HTML_Style_Property_Values

This is not easy to do "after the fact", as it needs to be two way.

Suggest that the editor can be customized similar to TinyMCE (https://www.tinymce.com/docs/configure/content-formatting/#exampleofusageoftheformatsoption) to allow classes rather than inline styles.

Kendo UI editor converts every URL pasted or written into an Html link, it might be nice to be able to configure that behavior. By default it can be left as it is, converting the urls into links, but it will be nice to expose an option to disable that behavior.

In the image browser of the editor, when uploading an image there isn't any loading component which is disturbing for the user since sometimes it can takes several seconds but the user don't knows that upload in really in progress

I was using save and edit buttons in RadEditor on ASP.NET Ajax extensivelly. Now, I've moved to MVC and noticed that these buttons don't exist at all!!! It's very weird. Ok, save functionality can be achieved fairly easily, but printing the content of an editor not much.
I assumed that, when you were building MVC controls you would deliver the same functionality as in Ajax controls.
Anyway, adding these buttons to editor tools would be great.

I want to use the ImageBrowser with services that perform the requested operations.. I've got my transport.read, transport.create, transport.destroy services created just fine and everything works.

However, the imageUrl and thumbnailUrl properties leave me baffled.

So transport.thumbnailUrl hard-codes a ?path={url} to whatever url you give it ... this seems like a major hack. I want to use a REST service with the generation of the thumbnail and I need to supply additional query string parameters, but the current implementation precludes doing so.

At least imageUrl lets me pass in a function or a parameterized string, but imageUrl ALWAYS tacks on the current relative path. The images that I'm using get stored in a DB by the service, so doing so makes no sense.

Both these properties should have the same abilities as the create, read, and destroy -- let me control what is passed in explicitly.

Being a Telerik Evangelist & Sales Engineer, I do constantly development with Kendo UI. And I just thought it will be good to put this idea out here, so everyone whose also using the Editor control can also vote or comment on this feedback.

I've done research on the API documentation and also looking at the demo samples. If any of you have noticed, the "Folder" item in our ImageBrowser shows a tiny grey square which doesn't look very nice.

I was thinking, perhaps it will be good for us to have the option to configure the image we want to use for our folders/directories.

Add the possibility to stop a user from deleting an image/folder in the ImageBrowser connected to the Editor. As it is now you can stop it serverside, but there is no way to prevent the folder/file to from being removed on the client.

Currently when inside a table, the functionality for adding more tables disappears and is replaced by the table edit tools, however in our software tables are used to layout the HTML rendered by the editor, which prevents users adding tables at all. We need to keep ours set up this way and cannot switch to a CSS way of building the HTML :(

Allow us to activate the inline editor by double-click or by an event. This way users can click inside the HTML, select it, copy, etc and if they actually want to edit they can double-click or click a button.

I would like the editor to have more support for Bootstrap editing. Adding and controlling col-* div containers using the editor. Most modern editors have such control but none excels. Adding support for glyph icons and responisve tables and commonly used class for them, such as "table-striped".

I use the Kendo Editor with inline mode. As soon as I paste some text from clipboard to the editor, the editor scrolls to the end. When the document ist very large, then you have to scroll back to the position where the cursor was located before pasting. Very difficult to work.
