When attempting to use the filter function on a TreeListDataSource, the linked TreeList control reports that are no records to display regardless of what filter is entered. This includes attempts to clear/reset the filters using an empty object/null and behaves the same regardless of whether serverFiltering is enabled.
The TreeListDataSource object contains the expected records.
When the Kendo UI Treelist is horizontally scrollable and a filter is applied which returns no items, the scrollbar disappears. Therefore, if the column is one of the hidden ones, it would be impossible to navigate to it in order to clear the filter.
A Dojo sample for the reproduction of the issue:
I would like to use drag and drop on treeList to reorder rows (with same parent) like on treeView or at least to have same events (drag, dragstart, dragend, drop), where I'll be able to change behaviour.
The TreeList control doesn't allow for a fixed row of aggregates at the bottom of the control. I would like to have the option to enable a row of "Grand Total" aggregates that are aggregates of the whole data set. This row would be fixed at the bottom of the control and wouldn't be scrollable. This is functionality that the Kendo Grid has that isn't available in the Kendo TreeList.
When using the standard Edit command in a column, it is possible to customize the standard text for the edit button (command.Edit().Text("Doit")). But it is not possible to customize the Cancel- or Update-Text (as it is in the grid: command.Edit().CancelText("Nope").UpdateText("Yep")) or to leave the text blank.
Steps to reproduce bug:
The result has broken Headers
Changes to edit cells are lost when clicking the next cell or other rows in the TreeList.
Dojo Example adapted from TreeList InCell Editing demo (also attached):
As discussed on the forum (http://www.telerik.com/forums/virtualization-for-treelist) please improve the rendering/scrolling/expanding/collapsing performance of TreeLists with many expanded rows. Grids support virtualization and work well with hundreds of thousands of rows (http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/grid/virtualization-local-data). Perhaps virtualization can be added to TreeLists to achieve similar results?
Great work on this control boys.... I reckon it needs Filter Row, Multiple Column Sort, Paging to make it consistent with the grid. Regards, Scotty
