Add support for automatic polling/refresh on DataSource. Property: interval in milliseconds
Currently when using the Column Menu, there is no visual queue to indicate that the column has a filter applied to it.
Please take a look at https://github.com/dangrossman/bootstrap-daterangepicker It would be nice to have similar option in DatePicker - to choose range of days.
signalR gives the possibility to quasi direct connection to the server side with easy parameter passing and easy implementation.
There appear to be a number of options missing from this control that keep it from being really powerful. For example: - there does not appear to be a method in which to access the files currently selected, in order to remove one. - If you want to limit the file types selected, you have to cancel the entire selection event, which will only piss off end users. -The only way to show a "remove" button is to have something post back to the server, which makes no sense if AutoUpload is false. - If you want to clear the list of uploaded items, you have to use jQuery to remove the LI's (WTF?) My proposed changes: - Have a Remove button regardless of whether there us a Remove URL set or not. If there is not a Remove URL set, disable the Remove/cancel button while files are being uploaded. - Add a clear() method to remove all files, uploaded or otherwise. - Add a getFiles() method to get a list of all in-memory files being managed. - Add a remove(file) method, so that files that were accidentally selected can be removed in the Select event handler without having to choose between adding a server-side call and pissing off the end user. - Add a setFileTypes() method that lets you pass in an array of file types to accept. All others will be automatically removed from the collection. - Make the Drag&Drop capability set the drop zone visibility by default. You can manage that in jQuery without making me add more styles manually. Thank you for your consideration.
This feature was already requested in another post, but it was missunderstood. (http://kendoui-feedback.telerik.com/forums/127393-kendo-ui-feedback/suggestions/11578722-support-sorting-datasource-groups) The idea is to allow for Groups in DataSources to be sorted in ways other than alphabetically; this will allow for certain groups to be given priority.
Excel-like filter always show all available options. When one filter was already applied - could we limit number of options to see only options that are left after previous filtration? We should be able to filter only by already filtered rows. As alternative - could we have some event on Excel-like filter to populate options for it every time it expands?
It'd be nice if we could do this through the options and not via a css hack. In the meantime, here is a way to get around it, provided by Georgi Krustev http://jsfiddle.net/krustev/uZUjK/
Ability to have a hidden menu that slides in or pops in much like the other apps and frameworks have.
We reaally need to use the overlay animation, our client is driving us nuts with it. They are showing us the examples in Jquery mobile panel (http://demos.jquerymobile.com/1.3.0/docs/widgets/panels/) and asking us why we are using Kendo if we cant deliver this animations. Please help us voting for this animatiosn.
Currently we use batch editing in the Grid control. The idea of batch editing is all changes are retained client side until the user presses the save button. When editing a cell a red dirty indicator is placed on the cell. This gives the user an indication that there are unsaved changes. however, when deleting a row, the row just goes away. There is no indication the user must still save. I would like to see rather than the record immediately removed a class applied to the row so we can apply some style like a strikethrough or red background color to indicate a pending delete. Also, we would be able to switch the "delete" button to an "undo" button.
Current when using the HierarchicalDataSource you can only load one level of data at a time. I would like to be able to pre-populate the entire tree (but have the ability to refresh it via remote data, should I so need).
You have datepicker. You have timepicker. Why not datetimepicker? A single input box that selects both a date and a time. Should be fairly straightforward, it just needs to display both ui widgets simultaneously and handle the different parsing in and output logic.
