Please support Excel formulas copy and paste to Kendo Spreadsheet. Now is the copy only the text, not formulas.
E.g. italian culture uses ";" as parameter separator in formulae. Our client will adopt spreadsheet component on a global basis and users need to be able to e.g. copy/paste from excel to spreadsheet component using their culture
1. Open https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/spreadsheet/index in IE 11
2. Start editing cells C3 to C12 and enter value 1234 in each cell as fast as possible
3. 1234 enter, 1234 enter , 1234 enter and so on without waiting for UI rendering completion as UI freezes for few seconds, and then all cells get updated in one go
4. below is the result, few cells are having wrong values
5. Its very serious issue
Note: Excel 365, Excel and GoogleSheet works fine in such cases
Currently only the global culture is used to parse dates. This behavior differs from Excel as I can enter 1/1/19 to parse to 1/1/2019. I would like the widget to format using the chosen date culture (mm/dd/yyyy), but parse in an optional way, such as mm/dd/yy.
In percent-formatted cells, Excel will place a '%' as the user types. This allows 50% to be entered as '50'. Steps (excel and kendo): 1. Format a cell as percent 2. Enter 50 Excel shows "50.00%". The actual value is .5 Kendo widget shows "5000.00%". The actual value is 50
Enable Cut/Copy cell values and can Paste it in mutiple selected values
Need a default cell format, in addition to rowHeight and columnWidth including: - font size, - font-family, - font weight - (see other toolbar options) Default cell format would set the default values for all cells and toolbar options.
Allow additional control over what a user can undo/redo, or a clearer way to control the undo/redo stack. Right now, users cannot undo more complex custom logic - i.e. a user deletes the content of a single cell which triggers code for us to clear the content of every cell in that row. When a user then attempts a single undo via keyboard shortcut, it cannot undo this more complex chain of events.
add a double line border single or multiple cell.
Spreadsheet import currently handles (keeps) rich text formatting of a cell if the entire cell is formatted, such as a colored row or all bold text in cell. However, if the content of the cell is a mix of plain text and formatted text, the formatting gets dropped on import. If it is possible, it would be nice to keep rich text under this condition.
Currently if I set column border width large, it has multiple problems: 1. it will overlay on columns next to it; 2. when copy the cell with thick border and paste somewhere else, the thick border get copied as well; 3. when select cell with thick border, the border will block part of editor;
It would be great if you would add accessabbility to the spreadsheet as it seems to be the last control without this feature.
Currently the focus gets trapped inside its grid and the user cannot leave the spreadsheet with the TAB key. At least this should be avoided. It would be also better if only the first cell would be focusable and you then could navigate with the arrow keys, as with thousands of cells it is not very comfortable to use the TAB key.
I have observed that Conditional Formatting in Spreadhseet is not supported. Please add support for the same as it is very important feature of XLSX. during financial calculation this feature plays an important role. Here is the issue that needs a fix.
2. Check attached file CellColorFormula.xlsx, conditional formatting set for B2, C2, D2
3. Import attached file CellColorFormula.xlsx
4. Check Cells B2, C2, D2 and try to change values for A2, C2, D2
5. None of the conditional formatting is working
Other spreadsheet applications (Excel and Google Sheets, to name two) offer the ability to insert individual cells into a sheet without inserting a whole row/column. Most importantly, this feature updates cell references in formulas, which is not something that can be done with copy and paste.
For example, in the following spreadsheet (screenshot from Excel), I've right-clicked cell A2 and chosen "Insert" on the context menu. There is also a button on the ribbon that opens the same "Insert" dialog.
I want to shift the cells down, so I click OK in the dialog. Note that the formulas update accordingly: the sum range expands to A1:A5, while the individual cell references remap.
Can this feature please be added to Kendo spreadsheet? Otherwise, our clients will have to continue manually re-writing formulas after they copy/cut and paste to achieve a similiar-looking (but functionally different) result.
