When the grid is refreshed with grid.refresh(), regrouping and resorting is not done automatically; as a result, any updates to the underlying dataItems that affect sorting or grouping are not reflected in the grid. That level of control should be available to the developer. Therefore, I would like to suggest that the grid.refresh() method accept an optional configuration object:

var options
 = { resort: true|false (default), regroup : true|false (default)}
grid.refresh( options )

In this way, if the grid is groupede by [department] for example, and the [department] of certain rows is changed programmatically via dataItem["department"] = somethingDifferent, when the grid.refresh ({regroup: true}) method is invoked with the optional argument, the grid would be regrouped, reflecting those changes to the rows' dataItems.

Smart Input. iOs in facetime has an input that has onBlurEmpty, onBlureChange , onFocus events. It also manages the style of the state. It has a bound clear input button that send the caret to the beginning, while showing the preset value . It also has a preset value that is in a different style.

With this widget you can make passive calls to the database for CRUD stuff.

Look at the contact section in FaceTime.

If I use text method for changing the text of a node in a treeview, the icon gets removed. Same happens if the dataSource is an observableHierarchy object and I use set("text", newText).

Have a setting causes only the most specific event handler to be fired/triggered. This would be similar or identical to how a browser determines which value a property will receive when competing selectors are trying to assign it. http://webdesign.about.com/od/advancedcss/a/aa062706.htm

If you gave the Source View "HTML Syntax Highlighting" by default, you would have a winner. Most other editors lack this.

Hello Team;
will there be a similar concept like ASP.Net "Master Page" which eliminate repeating part of a page in any new page? This would help designing a less crowded page.
Or a similar concept like Silverlight having a "Content" area that can be navigated to using AJAX.

Hi;

It would be great to show how Kendo can work with ASP.Net membership to take advantage of it at client side.

Thanks!

If I take the splitter basic usage example and put the menu basic usage example inside the toparea of the splitter - the dropdowns of the menu comes behind the next area of the splitter and is not visible.

I've tried to adjust z-index etc on the menu to get the dropdowns over the splitterareas, but I can not get it to expand over the other splitter areas.

I can send you screenshots/code etc if you need it..
Tested with IE9 (9.0.8112.16421) and Chrome 14.0.835.202 and Opera 11.51

Its a small thing, but annoying.

i dynamically add subitems to the tree on expansion.
therefore i do not need to load the whole data on start.

so, on the tree init i just have on the items, that contain children an <ul></ul> to indicate it has children.
that works just as expected.
but when the user clicks on the expand icon, the event treeView.expand does not get fired.

My current workaround is, to add an invisible dummy
<ul><li style="visibility:hidden"></li></ul> to indicate there are subitems.
and when the expand event runs, loading the item, and removing the dummy...
Thats far from perfect.
