Placeholder is supported for numeric text boxes, it would be nice if placeholder could also be supporter for all text box input, i.e. plain text.
In window widget I create links and buttons. On pc system it's work correct. But on mobile devices (just like iPad or Nexus 7), these click events is so hard to touch. Other click events outside the window widget is easy to click(the same links or the same buttons).
Allow multiple header lines in the grid - eg two header lines first line contains four columns the next eight. The first col provides a visual grouping to the second header
For example, when the autocomplete list appears or disappears, the entire page flickers to black for an instant. This happens roughly 50% of the time for me. I disabled all my extensions and that didn't help.
Problem: the same CSS classes are used for styling of different widgets, hence when they nest, styles interfere. Example: MultiSelect in a Grid column filter. The filter form is placed in the column menu and menu item styling (.k-filter-menu .k-button) is propagated to all k-buttons in it, including MultiSelect's selected item tags that are also k-buttons and have styling with lower specificity. Solution: Use additional CSS classes for specific styling. That is .k-button is Ok for generic styling (color, border, hovers), and another, say .k-item-tag and .k-menu-item, for widget specific (margin, width etc.)
I have seen a few different samples on how to implement a dynamic skin chooser for Kendo UI Web, but I think this would be a great UI control to be added to the suite itself. None of the code samples I have found are simply drop in and use, but require slight modifications.
If I take the splitter basic usage example and put the menu basic usage example inside the toparea of the splitter - the dropdowns of the menu comes behind the next area of the splitter and is not visible. I've tried to adjust z-index etc on the menu to get the dropdowns over the splitterareas, but I can not get it to expand over the other splitter areas. I can send you screenshots/code etc if you need it.. Tested with IE9 (9.0.8112.16421) and Chrome 14.0.835.202 and Opera 11.51
It would be cool if it were at least easier to put a kendo style modal within a kendo window that covers the content of the window. An example: Confirmation of action, if a user clicks to close the window it would be nice if a modal could be displayed, covering only the window content until the user confirms or cancels.
Have a setting causes only the most specific event handler to be fired/triggered. This would be similar or identical to how a browser determines which value a property will receive when competing selectors are trying to assign it. http://webdesign.about.com/od/advancedcss/a/aa062706.htm $('.
Position the grid's sorting icon on the left side of the column header so that it is always visible even when the column header's label is wider than the columns width. This will also eliminate the icon overlap of a narrow column that is sorted and also has the "columnMenu" option set to "true"
The possibility to have both edit modes in a grid. I want to (for example) instant edit my columns in the grid, but also have a (custom) popup window wich will allow me to edit more fields not included in the grid (but still in the datasource ofcourse).
Its a small thing, but annoying. i dynamically add subitems to the tree on expansion. therefore i do not need to load the whole data on start. so, on the tree init i just have on the items, that contain children an <ul></ul> to indicate it has children. that works just as expected. but when the user clicks on the expand icon, the event treeView.expand does not get fired. My current workaround is, to add an invisible dummy <ul><li style="visibility:hidden"></li></ul> to indicate there are subitems. and when the expand event runs, loading the item, and removing the dummy... Thats far from perfect.
It would be nice to be able to adjust the values of min, max and step after widget initialization.
Your Silverlight editor includes the ability to embed images directly into the rich text field. This is a highly desirable quality for the rich text editor. This way, users don't need access to a web server in order to upload images. This functionality will make the add-on much easier to distribute to end user companies.
I can't select date in my kendoDatePicker when I set readonly option or call readonly method. This problem is in the new version 2013.1.319, in version 2012.3.1114 all work perfectly
