If I am on "Day" view and looking at the business hours of 8-4 (default view)...however an important event is set at 5pm...you'd have to click into full day mode to even know it was there. The databinding is such that the "day" should have that 5pm object already on the clientside...

I'd like some sort of visual indicator that there's more to see.

Create property set set text and style for "more items" button in month view, currently set to "..." my user requested to set to language specific text like '"more items".

Create property to set which view the "more items" button will navigate too, currently set to day but for my project had to override it to agenda view.

I had done a post for a new feature suggestion - http://kendoui-feedback.telerik.com/forums/127393-telerik-kendo-ui-feedback/suggestions/6261117-get-next-occurrence-of-a-recurring-event

This was replied and closed. The suggestion is by no means useful. It DOES NOT achieve what we want. Both the suggestions requires using the scheduler widget and I clearly stated we don't want to use the widget. Also I don't want to get all the occurrences. I just need to get the next occurrence give a start date and an instance of the event. Better still it will be good if I can just provide the pattern and the start date to get the next first occurrence. This tells me when the next appointment is.

Please also reference to the telerik ticket#: 843150

There should be a way to programmatically get the selected timeslots from the scheduler. This might need to have the ability to not lose focus on blur of scheduler

A feature that allows the events in the Scheduler to have their ‘margin-bottom’ property assigned programmatically. This is required to support custom events with a border-width > 1px.

Currently, the code calculating event position assumes the border-width on events will be 1px, and it works perfectly when that assumption is correct. Increasing the border-width results in events overlapping each other, which is something I’d like to avoid.

Use case: A workorder needs to be scheduled. It requires a primary resource (vehicle, meeting room) to which multiple additional resources are added (people, equipment). Each resource could be added to the workorder's timeline together with inheritance of schedule, or independently.

I would like to see something built into the scheduler UI that lets you navigate the scheduling conflicts. It could show the number of conflicts, a previous and next buttons. I'm not sure exactly where this would appear in the UI, but that's what you guys are good at! :) At the moment, I am about to have to code this myself, maybe as a custom widget that can be hooked to any scheduler, but I would rather use something built-in. Thanks!

I would like to define a template or a message or something such that when there's no events the scheduler doesn't just look like a smushed collection of buttons, or having to set a min-height on the event zone or some other hack.

Currently you have to map every required property manually. Like this:

                model.Field("start", typeof(DateTime)).From("Start");
                model.Field("end", typeof(DateTime)).From("End");
                model.Field("title", typeof(string)).From("Title");
                model.Field("description", typeof(string)).From("Description");
                model.Field("recurrenceID", typeof(int)).From("RecurrenceID");
                model.Field("recurrenceRule", typeof(string)).From("RecurrenceRule");
                model.Field("recurrenceException", typeof(string)).From("RecurrenceException");
                model.Field("isAllDay", typeof(bool)).From("IsAllDay");
                model.Field("startTimezone", typeof(string)).From("StartTimezone");
model.Field("endTimezone", typeof(string)).From("EndTimezone");

It would be nice to be able to use the short form:

model.Field("Start");
...

The problem is not the "huge" amount of typing. What did cost me time was finding out that the SignalR version isn't working like the others.

Dear Support Team,

Please try the following scenario. Create a weekly recurring event for the 4rth of April that has no end.
Go at the next week (9/4 - 13/4) and move the event (11/4) 1 hour forward. At the confirmation popup please select 'Edit the series'.
Go back to the previous week (2/4 - 6/4). The event of 4/4 has disappeared!!

The specific dates are used as an example. Feel free to use any date your want.

Thank you in advance,
Thomas.

See demo:

I'm not sure about other themes but this is the one we use.  Submitting so you can provide a fix in next version but can you provide a CSS fix for this that we can add to our page in the meantime?

See attached screenshot.

Thanks!

Hi there,

I would like to know if there is a way to add aggregates to a kendo scheduler?

There is a particular value that I'd like to apply an aggregate.sum to, then have that sum appear in a header. Is this possible with the scheduler? or is there some work around?

Thank you,

Brodie

Dear Telerik team.

Currently you use hard coded formats to display dates and times.

majorTimeHeaderTemplate: '<span class=\'k-time-text\'>#=kendo.toString(date, \'h:mm\')#</span> ' + '<span class=\'k-time-period\'>#=kendo.toString(date, \'tt\')#</span>'

It would be nice if you would respect the culture settings and at least I would not have to change the templates every time I use a scheduler.

I didn't check all your widgets, but I guess the scheduler is not the only one ignoring the culture settings.

Please make use of the current culture settings/patterns

Thanks in advance

Bernd

Dear Telerik,

My problem is behind the "timelineMonth" view of the Scheduler. In the documentation it is written that "showWorkHours" has a support only behind "day" and "week" views. But it is not really like that. In fact, it is included also in "timeline" and "timelineWeek" views and it works fine. Even more, this feature works also in "timelineMonth", but with a small exception that I want to focus on your attention.

Here is an example showing the problem. It's only about selecting the "today" (in my example the "date" property is showing "today". The same behavior could be achieved if you change it to another date and click the "today" button).

I can show you another particular example describing why this feature is very useful. Here, if the user press on "show business hours" button and then select the "Timeline Month", he will break the logic behind. And it makes somehow the "Show Business Hours" button problematic. And let say I should make some workaround to avoid this thing happens, but not sure why.

Hope this is valuable.

Best Regards, Boyan.

Hi,

I'm looking to be able to modify agenda view, so that it is like the group headers in grid - having the date as the group header and then the events that occur on that date shown underneath (also collapsible). Is this possible?

I also tried to do this in the grid but it doesn't seem to work due to the fact that it using a start and an end, not a single date column.

Thanks
