When the data source of the Kendo UI ScrollView is configured to accept a function, two requests are sent. 

Reproduction of the problem

1. Set the read of the data source to function.

2. Set server paging to false (by default is false).

Bug report

When the horizontal scroll of the grid is shown and is configured for RTL, the resize handle is mispositioned. 

Reproduction of the problem

1. Make the grid scrollable and set explicit widths to all columns.

2. Make the grid RTL.

3. Introduce multi-column headers.

4. Notice that the columns cannot be resized due to the disposition of the handler.

5. Dojo for replication:

6. Notice that whenever the horizontal scroll is not present, the resize handle is positioned correctly.

Bug report

The Tooltip component is visualized at the upper left corner of the browser's window when opened in Safari.

• The issue is not reproducing with jQuery 1.xx and 2.x.x

Reproduction of the problem

1. Open this Dojo in Safari browser
2. Hover the bars in the BarChart

Current behavior

The Tooltip is visualized in the upper left corner of the browser's window

Expected/desired behavior

The Tooltip should be visualized on the top of each bar of the chart that is hovered.

• The expected behavior could be observed when the above Dojo is opened in Chrom

As per https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/api/javascript/ui/combobox/events/select I am expecting that select does not fire when the user enters text but does not select an item from the list. This is consistent with your other widgets like AutoComplete.

 

However as seen in this dojo https://dojo.telerik.com/ESOJibEB select triggers whenever I enter text and click off the box instead of only when I click an item in the combobox.

 

How to reproduce:

• Open above Dojo
• Click in the combobox and type some text.
• Do not click on an item in the list and instead just click anywhere else on the page.
• Check console and you will see select has been printed.

PS Im forced to select a browser but this is the same across both chrome and firefox.

Enhancement

Excel files generated by Kendo Excel Export cannot be imported by the MS ODBC Driver. The error reported in this forum thread is: External table is not in expected format.

Current behaviour

If the file is opened and resaved with Excel or if the styles.xml file is replaced with any styles.xml generated by MS Excel, the error does not occur. When compared the styles.xml of Excel does not contain a numberFormat, no other obvious major differences at first glance:

E.g.:

Reproduction of the problem

Dojo example.

1. Drag the page splitter to resize the screen and see the Grid's pager correctly switch between the different responsive styles (expected)
2. Click the "Open Modal" button, which opens a Kendo Window with another Grid in it
3. Drag the page splitter and/or resizing the Window to see each of the Grid's paging styles changing accordingly (expected)
4. Close the Window (destroy is called in the deactivate event handler)
5. Try again to drag the page splitter to resize the screen. This time, the Grid's pager is no longer responsive

Current behavior

Responsiveness of the pager of a Grid declared outside the Window is affected by the Window's destroy method.

Expected/desired behavior

Calling the destroy method has no unexpected effect on components that are not nested in the Window.

Bug report

The wrap text tool hides some of the cell's text if it is too long.

Reproduction of the problem

Go to this Dojo. Select cell A1 and toggle the wrap text tool. The beginning of the text is not displayed.

Current behavior

Part of the cell's content is hidden.

All the text should be visible.

In offical demo i found a problem, i don't know that is a issue or any thing.

When i use DropDownList Virtualization, i filter "LILA-Supermercado" then selected a value 10780, then fire change event (that true)

Then, I open and close dropdownlist, does not choose any thing, just open and close, dropdownlist fire change event again (that not true)

this happen with any value which not loading before scroll.

The first DateTimePicker is set as readonly and has also aria-readonly manually set to true. It is correctly read by my screen reader (NVDA).

The second DateTimePicker is only set as readonly. It is read by the screen reader editable. It is not marked as readonly in the accessibility tree (per Firefox Developer Edition 71).

I can't find a formal specification, but this page says an input with ARIA role="combobox" needs to have "aria-readonly" set in addition to "readonly".

I'm documenting this for the DateTimePicker , but the same problem occurs for ComboBox ( https://dojo.telerik.com/@GaloisGirl/egeLOxIt ) and possibly other widgets that use the ARIA role combobox.

 

Bug report

When there are multiple Window components initialized in one page the initially defined z-index is not changing when tapping on a given Window on an iPad device in the Safari browser.

Reproduction of the problem

1. Open this Dojo example on an iPad
2. Drag the upper Window(Number 3) aside and tap on the second one

Possible fix
Replace:

Current behavior

The second Window continues to stay under window number 3

Expected/desired behavior

Once a given Window is tapped its should pop to the top and its content shouldn't be hidden by other Windows.

Datepicker is closing after clicking month or year not waiting until selecting the date.

We are using IPAD IOS 13.2.2 version and loading the data in desktop website in IPAD. Dojo also not working properly in IPAD with desktop mode.

Bug report
When submitting a selection in the ComboBox via Enter keypress an incorrect item is selected.

Reproduction of the problem
Run this dojo
Enter 199 in the input field and:
Click outside of the input field - text() returns 199, value() returns 199
Hit Tab key - text() returns 199, value() returns 199
Hit Enter key - text() returns 4, value() returns 199
With Kendo UI versions after 2018.2.516 pressing the Tab key outputs the same result as pressing the Enter key.

Current behavior
An incorrect item from dataSource is being selected on Enter keypress.

Expected/desired behavior
Selection modes should return same item.

Hello, the Excel Export doesn't export the columns headers sums (view in image).

Currently the result of PDFViewer printing is affected by PDFViewer scale option. When scale is less than 200%, the letters in the printed PDF appear blurred.

Reproduction of the problem

1. Go to https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/pdfviewer/index
2. Set scale option to 100%
3. Print to PDF using "Microsoft Print to PDF" printer. (The final result is the same compared to actual printing to a physical printer)
4. For consistency set the following print options, e.g. in Chrome:

• Paper size: A4
• Pages per sheet: 1
• Margins: None
• Scale: Default

Current behavior

Text in printed PDF file is blurred

Expected/desired behavior

Text in printed PDF file is clear.
NOTE: Clear text may be achieved if PDFViewer scale option is set to 400% on the demo before printing.

I'm testing https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/notification/index with the NVDA screen reader.

1. Notifications are not announced by the screen reader, violating success Criterion 4.1.3.

2. Notifications are not accessible by keyboard.

3. The "close" button is not semantically a button.

4. The "close" button is not focusable by keyboard.

5. Auto-hiding notifications violate the 2.2 guideline (enough time). I can give my user an option to see notifications for a longer time, say 100 seconds instead of 10, but unable to close them by keyboard, they can end up with an overflow of messages.

6. The color contrasts are insufficient (4.26 for the red ones, only 2.73 for the green ones).

Notifications are listed on https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/accessibility/section-508-wcag as AA-level compliant, and while I understand they're one of the hardest component to make accessible due to their asynchronous nature, the current implementation is closer to a bad practices example than a correct solution.

I am experiencing problems with the k-ng-model binding on the DateRangePicker.

I made a Dojo example. Scenario and working / not working example included.

Dear Concerned,

1. Launch https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/spreadsheet/index

2. Select Column B11, click wrap text from Home toolbar.

3. Start typing in B11 & see cell editor keeps growing and goes beyond screen.

4. This is not user friendly, it should be same as Excel

5. Any alternative or quick fix would be appreciable

• Create a WYSIWG Editor
• Add a Table with 2 rows and 2 columns
• Select multiple cells by clicking on the first cell and then dragging to the right[Firefox_TableWizard_CellStyling_selection.png]
• Click on the table wizard icon to open the table wizard
• Select the Cell tab
• Change the Background Color to something like red
• Press the Ok Button
• Now the first cell has a red background color and 2 columns are added after the first cell[Firefox_TableWizard_CellStyling_afterCellStyling.png]

 

Issue is only present in Firefox, Chrome does not allow selecting multiple cells.
