Bug report

The select method of the range in the Spreadsheet component throws an error when we have a selected cell in the visible area of the component and try to select a range that is outside of this visible area.
The bug is replicable both when the range is passed as exact cells or row-column pair:

  • sheet.range(3,2,3,3).select();
  • sheet.range("C4:E6").select();

** This is a regression from the R3 2019 release

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Open this Dojo
  2. Scroll to row 70+ and select a random cell
  3. Press the "Select range" button

Current behavior

The following error appears in the browser's console
image

If you scroll to the top rows of the Spreadsheet there is a visual selection of the cells that are passed in the range

Expected/desired behavior

On "Select range" click the "C4:E6" cell range should be selected and the Spreadsheet should be automatically scrolled to this selection.

Here is a working demo: https://dojo.telerik.com/uRERUxOm

Environment

Regression introduced in R1 2020.

Reproduction of the problem

Reproducible in the demo.

  1. Focus the DropDownTree.
  2. Click the "Check all" checkbox.

Current behavior

The DropDownTree items are not checked. The issue is reproducible only if the checkbox is clicked. Clicking its label, or checking the checkbox with the keyboard (Space key) checks all items as expected.

Expected/desired behavior

All items are checked.

There is no padding between semicolon and the data "Type:Folder" wouldn't be better "Type: folder" with a space in between?

Since the 2019 R1 release k-pager-sm (k-pager-lg, k-pager-md) classes are assigned dynamically based on the width of the page to make the component responsive (as I understood from https://www.telerik.com/forums/kendo-ui-grid-pager-not-displaying-properly-in-sass-mode#wn92di5BakmHqrrMfViFxA)

When grids are used on bootstrap tabs (both boostrap 3 and 4) the k-pager-sm class is added incorrectly, causing the pagers on tabs other than the first to be displayed only partially.

A JSFiddle to demonstrate this: https://jsfiddle.net/nqjc4mbu/

The pager on the 1st tab:

And on the 2nd and 3rd tab:

(we've solved it with a workaround by dynamically removing the k-pager-sm class again on dataBound, but this shouldn't be necessary)

Bug report

The Spreadsheet doesn't' load correctly Excel files which definition of the tag is a single cell, instead of a cell range.

Test files: test-2.zip

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Download the test-2.zip file and load the "test.xlsx" file in the Spreadsheet here.
  2. The file has data in the “AZ” and “BA” columns and once it is imported in the Spreadsheet the data from the “BA” column is imported in the “AX” column and the values in the AZ column are missing.
  • If the above file is saved in Excel it is correctly loading in the Spreadsheet. In the attached archive there is the “test-copy.xlsx” file which is the saved and correctly working one. Below is the structure of the two files. The one in red is from the "test.xlsx" file and the code in green is from the "test-copy.xlsx" file.

In IE 11, MultiSelect with autoClose:false does not prevent the popup from closing. The widget has to be placed at the bottom of the page, so that there is no space for the popup to open below the input field.

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Open this Dojo example.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  3. Start selecting items until the tags do not fit the input field.
  4. When the input's height expands, the popup closes.

Expected/desired behavior

The popup should remain open.

I was working with a badge widget and I noticed an issue when the value property is specified as 0. It does not change the value displayed in the badge. I have attached a snippet based on the Basic usage demo for a Badge. I originally noticed it because I'm using the badge in MVVM pattern.

Hi, I think this is a bug with AutoComplete widget. The document says the highlightFirst default is true, which means I don't need to specifically define it. In reality, I have to set it as true in order for it to work. Please verify.

I have two datetime picker to select a datetime range.

The max value of end datetime picker must be the 00:00 of a given day (that is only 00:00 of the given day must be selectable).
The min value of end datetime picker depends on the selection of start timepicker.

Hence I need to dynamically change the minimum value of end datetime picker while mantaining the max value to 00:00 of the give day as show in the following dojo link:
https://dojo.telerik.com/IFAWOrax
(based on https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/datetimepicker/rangeselection)

But when you select a different hours from 00:00 on the start datetime picker, the max value of end datetimepicker is not matained.

Dear support,

I've found a bug in kendo ui grid concerning the combination of grouping, multi-column headers and showing/hiding columns. To reproduce the issue, please use the "Multi-column headers" demo on your kendo ui demos page. Now please use the column menu to hide both child columns of the 'Locatiion' column header ('Country' and 'City'). Now please group the data by the column 'Contact Title'. If you now use the column menu to show one of the previously hidden columns (e.g. 'Country'), you will see that it is shown at the wrong position (left site, index 0).

I've attached an image showing the issue.

Kind regards

Iggy

Starting from a Grid's "endless scrolling demo" on: https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/grid/endless-scrolling-remote

Edit grid configuration to set smaller page size. All items of the first page need to be visible on the screen plus some free space. A grid height needs to be set. See this DOJO: https://dojo.telerik.com/amiNohIx

The vertical scroll bar is disabled and there is no way to get/see next pages of data.

Interesting is that use of the horizontal scrollbar (if one is available) starts some background operation (looks as data page load) and then the vertical scrollbar is OK.

Bug report

When the Spreadsheet is bound to a DataSource upon making multiple selections in the Spreadsheet and deleting the selected ranges a JavaScript error is thrown: "Unsupported for multiple ranges." The selected cells are deleted on the UI, but the DataSource change event is not triggered.

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Run the demo on DataSource binding
  2. Make random multiple selections
  3. Delete selection using the Delete key

Current behavior

A JavaScript error is thrown: "Unsupported for multiple ranges." The selected cells are deleted on the UI, but the DataSource change event is not triggered.

Expected/desired behavior

Upon an attempt to delete multiple selections a popup should be displayed with a warning that this operation is not supported, similar to trying Copy/Paste multiple selections.

The event handling between DatePicker and DateTimePicker is inconsistent.

If I manually type a date into DatePicker and tab away from the input, the change event is triggered

If I do the same in DateTimePicker, no event is triggered

They should behave the same, of course DateTimePicker should also trigger whether or not the user types in a time

Take this Dojo: https://dojo.telerik.com/iCECeXeC

1. Press 'Run'
2. Remove the filter for Contact Title
3. Press 'Save State'
4. Reload page (F5)
5. Press 'Run'
6. Press 'Load State'

Result: The filter for Contact Title is not removed.

On the other hand if I do the following:

1. Press 'Run'
2. Change the filter for Contact Title to 'Sales Representative'
3. Press 'Save State'
4. Reload page (F5)
5. Press 'Run'
6. Press 'Load State'

Result: The filter for Contact Title is changed correctly to 'Sales Representative'

Why is the first example not working? Is this intended behaviour or a bug? Is there a workaround?

Kind regards.

The documentation at  https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/api/javascript/ui/toolbar/configuration/items.menubuttons does not mention the children of a splitButton can have their own click handlers. It's not present in the typings either.

However, this does work: https://dojo.telerik.com/@GaloisGirl/UYeBewEX

Somewhat related is this bug: https://github.com/telerik/kendo-ui-core/issues/4542  . Documenting the behavior would be useful in accurately describing this bug.
