Hi Team,

It would be nice to have a feature of Collapsible / Expandable grouping function like tree view in Kendo Scheduler Timeline view. We have multiple head groups with 100 sub groups which we are not currently able to Expand / Collapse.

Sample Expand / Collpase feature like https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/treeview/checkboxes

File attached for reference.

Thank you.

Hi,

I'm looking to be able to modify agenda view, so that it is like the group headers in grid - having the date as the group header and then the events that occur on that date shown underneath (also collapsible). Is this possible?

I also tried to do this in the grid but it doesn't seem to work due to the fact that it using a start and an end, not a single date column.

Thanks

Dear Telerik,

My problem is behind the "timelineMonth" view of the Scheduler. In the documentation it is written that "showWorkHours" has a support only behind "day" and "week" views. But it is not really like that. In fact, it is included also in "timeline" and "timelineWeek" views and it works fine. Even more, this feature works also in "timelineMonth", but with a small exception that I want to focus on your attention.

Here is an example showing the problem. It's only about selecting the "today" (in my example the "date" property is showing "today". The same behavior could be achieved if you change it to another date and click the "today" button).

I can show you another particular example describing why this feature is very useful. Here, if the user press on "show business hours" button and then select the "Timeline Month", he will break the logic behind. And it makes somehow the "Show Business Hours" button problematic. And let say I should make some workaround to avoid this thing happens, but not sure why.

Hope this is valuable.

Best Regards, Boyan.

Dear Telerik team.

Currently you use hard coded formats to display dates and times.

majorTimeHeaderTemplate: '<span class=\'k-time-text\'>#=kendo.toString(date, \'h:mm\')#</span> ' + '<span class=\'k-time-period\'>#=kendo.toString(date, \'tt\')#</span>'

It would be nice if you would respect the culture settings and at least I would not have to change the templates every time I use a scheduler.

I didn't check all your widgets, but I guess the scheduler is not the only one ignoring the culture settings.

Please make use of the current culture settings/patterns

Thanks in advance

Bernd

Hi there,

I would like to know if there is a way to add aggregates to a kendo scheduler?

There is a particular value that I'd like to apply an aggregate.sum to, then have that sum appear in a header. Is this possible with the scheduler? or is there some work around?

Thank you,

Brodie

The configuration should provide a flag for rendering small events to take up their actual size. The current default size of an event is the size of a slot, if the event's duration is smaller than the slot duration. It would be nice to be able to switch to a behavior where if an event is 5 min and the slot is 15 min, it will show up with the size of a third of the slot. This was possible in the Silverlight implementation, with the EnableSmallAppointmentsRendering flag set to false (for Silverlight that was the default behavior).

When adding appointment, give an option to add reminder and the time before appointment.
The scheduler will popup reminders on time.

When setting a timeline view to display as an overnight view have an option to highlight the midnight timeline. This is currently only possible via a complex set of css rules...

you could have something like...

highlightTime: {time: 0, color:#ff0000}

where time is the timeline that needs to be highlighted and color is the color the line should be.

I have a need to create an event that will indicate a resources availability. This only needs to be a thin coloured block. Actual events will then be created along side the 'Availability' block. Basically we have the ability to create an event template. Need to be able to create two have assign the correct template based on what type of event it is. Also need the availability event to be rendered first so that it is always to the left on vertical views and at the top in horizontal views.

Your recent feature to allow the start and end times to be altered in a timeline view so that you can configure an overnight view is very useful. Could the same facility be provided for the Day, Week and WorkWeek views.

Something that is missing is a way to list a start and end time for the grouped resources also known as shifts. In the scenario we are thinking of the scheduler is acting as an appointment book for employees(resources) to have appointments booked with them. On order to do that efficiently there needs to be a way to display that employees working hours hence the start and end time for those resources.

Hi,

We have a requirement where in, we would like to have rolling view for the standard timeline views (timelineweek & timelineMonth).

What i mean by that is, the start-date of the view starts from the current date and the end date is based on whether its a week or a month.
For instance, if its the timeline week, if the current day is Wednesday, the start day of the week must be the current Wednesday and the end should be the next week's Tuesday.
The navigation from there should be the next Wednesday to the next corresponding Tuesday.

Now if the user navigates to a day via the calendar, for instance a Thursday. The view must start from a Thursday and end on a Wednesday.
The same applies for the timelinemonth view as well. Only change would be, in the case of the month, its the date and not the day.

Currently this can be achieved by creating a custom-view by extending the standard views.
It would be really helpful if this is available as toggle/setting in the standard view.

Thanks,
Shashank

Currently the scheduler 'snap' option does not actually snap to the nearest time slot, rather it adjusts the start time +/- the 'majorTick` amount of an event. So an event scheduled at 8:03 am would snap to 7:33 am or 8:33 am, given a 30 minute 'majorTick'.

I would be helpful to have another option that allows the event to actually snap to the nearest time slot. So that same 8:03am would snap to 8:00am, 7:30am, or 8:30am.

In a Kendo Scheduler it would be nice to view the grouped items like treeview which can expand and collapse the rows. We have the same expand/collapse function with Kendo Gantt control, need the same in Kendo Scheduler

when the user edits a recurring appointment , a pop comes which ask the user to either edit a occurrence or series of that appointment. The content inside the appointment editor is based on which option is selected. Since the user can press (x) of occurrence or series popup. The event for cancel is becomes a necessity.Kindly provide cancel event of that popup.

When editing a recurring event it can occur than the POST call (the one that creates the exception) finishes well, but the PUT one fails. In this case the exception is created but the new event is not created, causing that the final user thinks that the event disappeared (and causing an inconsistency in database).
It would be great if the scheduler could be configured to make one single call with the data of the master event and the new one in the same post, atomicly.
Moreover, if it is needed to perform remote validation when resizing or moving one event of a serie (the same scenario as the previous one) it would be much more easier to do it with that single call model.
